Friendly staff but the food was average at best
Amazing restaurant! Great food, service and ambiance! Loved it!
Excellent food and service, grouper outstanding, everything Is good,
Excellent staff. Fast service. Good delivered quickly to the table. Greeted by manager frequently
Service was spotty—food good—need some training and leadership
Selection was alright-limited variety. Food tasted “average”... nothing extraordinary. More on the bland side.
We ate at Coast, as usual, before attending a concert at the Charleston Music Hall. Both Coast and the CMH did an excellent job of providing physically distancing which made us feel comfortable while eating at Coast and enjoying the concert at CMH. It was so nice to finally get out and feel as safe as possible under the circumstances.
Great seafood, fast service.
I'd recommend Hanks and Magnolia's besides Coast. Coast being my first choice because of the taste of the food and price. The ambiance is better at Hanks and Magnolia's but pricier
The food was better than average but the atmosphere felt a little dark and dingy feeling. Our server was polite and well
Informed. Skip the grits, they were lumpy and lacked taste. I had the appetizer special and it was very good.
Really liked the restaurant, food was great and the service perfect. It's in a cool building and does have patio dining. I would definitely go back!
Great experience and even better food. Trust me, if Corvina is on the menu... order it!
Very disappointing! We look forward to dining at Coast every time we visit Charleston. The menu was drastically reduced with very few choices; the food we chose was below par, especially the fish tacos. Also our waitress was not very polite and bordered on being rude. Sadly we have to cross this place off our list!
We had an early reservation and almost had it to ourselves. Tanner (I think) was our waiter and was wonderful with service and food suggestions. I have eaten here several times while in Charleston. Coast never disappoints!
Plates were overloaded with potatoes. Took away from the presentation on the plate
My wife and I spent our 31st Wedding Anniversary in Charleston and dined at Coast Bar & Grill. Food and service was great!
We were disappointed you didn't offer the fried flounder which we love!
The fish tacos were sent back - inedible because they were so fishy. The crab and scallops ceviche was almost all scallop and not very flavorful. Would not order it again. Very disappointing. Shrimp cocktail was made of several small blackened, overcooked shrimp. Again disappointing. Fresh oysters were very good however and the server was very nice and attentive. Just expected more from a restaurant that advertises it has the freshest seafood in Charleston. Would not recommend unfortunately.
Nice atmosphere.. service was a bit slow. Food was just okay
The food and service were both phenomenal! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience overall.
Loved it across the board!
Highly recommended and excited to return
The food was delicious! Everyone was so friendly and they made sure to wish my husband a happy birthday. It was an AMAZING dining experience! We will be back!
Very nice dinner spot that seems to be bouncing back from COVID challenges.
The food was outstanding and the serving size was well worth the money. Enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and live music. The music was just right not to loud and not to low. The wait staff was very accommodating and you even had the feelings as if you were friends by the time you left. I would highly recommend Coast Bar & Grill to anyone in the Charleston area. It is our first choice after spending the weekend in Charleston
Great restaurant in a difficult to find alley location
Great atmosphere, great service and very good food. Disappointed that cashew encrusted grouper is no longer on menu. We have gotten this dish many times over the years.
Dark dingy Food was ok. We were celebrating our 38th wedding anniversary, informed the restaurant but no recognized. Disappointed will not return or recommend.
This was hands down the best food we had while in Charleston. The "Coast Crab Soup" was the best we've ever had. I could eat the "Shrimp and Bay Scallop Penne" everyday!
Great food, amazing service! We will be back again!
If you sit outside it is nice. Service, like the food is what you would get at a chain restaurant.
Great food and outdoor seating, server was meh
The food and service were both good! Please bring back the Paella.
Delicious food and excellent service! We always enjoying coming here when in the Charleston area.
Good food, great service, a little pricey but had a good time.
Food was good. Our server could not have been less personable. It was if we were bothering her by being there. Booths were uncomfortable
Service was great! However, the wood fires entrees were charred and overcooked.
Outstanding entree of wood fire grilled swordfish, oysters on the half shell appetizer, and carrot cake - garnished with whipped cream and a raspberry coulis (I think) in a generous portion.
Service is professional yet friendly; my server knew how to present and serve a bottle of wine. The manager came over to check on me, and follow up with the kitchen when some oysters weren't properly shucked, which was quickly remedied.
As always Sunday night features the pleasurable sounds of Graham Worley singing and playing Beatles, Dr. John, and Pink Floyd music to name a few faves.
I thought the restaurant's service was great- all the staff members were helpful and friendly. However, I found the restaurant itself very touristy and cheesy. I guess it's a typical Charleston dinner place for every out of town family, but locals should go somewhere else for food.
