One bar below mediocre Just not for us. It is for tourists walking by and hungry and just want anything in the category of seafood just to calm their stomachs. For all honesty, the fish of the day (Drum) was fresh just the execution of the whole plate was lacking; the small piece of fresh fish was grilled to perfection, and need the choice of the sauce to be enjoyed… alone, it is flavorless. The shredded vegetable in the plate are those they serve in geriatric cafeterias an hospitals. The mashed potato was a cause for food aversion. The fried shrimp and fish…. You taste the old oild deep fried battered stuff and not the thin fish of the small shrimps… Stomach upset guaranteed, it happened to me I swore to it. The coleslaw that comes with it is inedible …. Actually, to me, it was disgusting, I spitted the bite in the napkin. The French fries…. Come on, how can you not fry a simple potatoes links properly… really. Shrimp cocktail is NOT fresh and tough, dry and over seasoned. The only two dishes that were acceptable that terrible day were: Hush puppies Bacon cheese grits Service : ok Ambience: old building. Very loud. The smell of the old warehouse was so evident when you get in…. it will be obscured later by the smell of the fried dishes. Value: overpriced for the non-satisfactory taste, and the terrible experience. Recommendations: I absolutely would not recommend it to my family and my friends. For my fellow travelers, look somewhere else.

I haven’t been here in a few years but enjoyed that meal, so it was a no brainer for a quick meal before an event last night… we ordered 4 apps and drinks… the crab dip was cloying and tasteless, and the conch fritters were unseasoned and mostly batter. The Caesar salad and the shrimp cocktail were fine. I was really disappointed.

Outstanding food and service. Meals served quickly even though place was packed. Crab soup was heavenly. Shrimp and grits, fried fish and shrimp were excellent as well. Kudos to our server Haley who was on top of her game.

Have not been to Coast in ages so we thought we would give it a try, we had a gift certificate. It was how we recall, okay, nothing special other than the location. Appetizers were hush puppies, which were good, salad and crab ceviche which was fair, overly tart and appeared to be premade and sitting in the citrus and onion for quite awhile. Entrees were the adobo shrimp skewers and the swordfish. I tasted the shrimp and the adobo and open fire flavors overpower the shrimp. I was told the other items on the plate were fair. The swordfish was small, thin and overcooked. Again overpowered by the open grill smokiness and the beurre blanc was bland. The best part of the dish were the mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. Nothing against the server, he was quite congenial and helpful, but the appetizer salad plate was left on the table the entire time. It took a while to get the dirty martini with 3 tiny olives. Definitely a turnoff. Also I request a printed receipt which never came. Last pet peeve, the white terrycloth napkins are horrible. I was wearing black slacks and ended up having white lint all over them. I ask for an alternative but that's all they have. I had to resort to leaving my napkin on the table and was overly conscious of the conspicuous white lint all over my lap when I went to the theater afterwards. All said, the dinner was lackluster and an overall disappointment.
