Clyde's of Columbia
Excellent food and service. Seat by the windows watching the sunset over the lake, exquisite.
Great experience once again!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Had a nice experience and the food was very good. The service was timely and the atmosphere was acceptable.
Nicely decorated for the Holidays. We ere seated promptly in the area requested. I had the beef stew which was presented differently than in the past. Loved it. Spouse had chili and the autumn salad. She enjoyed the salad, but thought the chili lacked chili flavor [too much tomato and vinegar taste]. Overall though an enjoyable outing
Excellent food and service
Our birthday dinner was very nice.
We went here for brunch. Great food and great service. My lady really enjoyed the view of the water from our table. We will definitely be back....soon!👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
It was average. The food was good although my shrimp and grits was extremely spicy which was not noted on the menu. The service seemed a little off. I don’t think the server was very fluent in English.
Nice atmosphere: hood food; clean and the wait staff was attentive
We chose Clyde's for our Thanksgiving meal because they offered a traditional meal along with other meal options.
The traditional meal was outstanding ! My husband had a pasta dish that he thoroughly enjoyed.
The service was excellent and we weren't rushed despite the fact that the restaurant was full.
I took my wife and her parents to Clyde's in Columbia for Thanksgiving dinner and it was wonderful. The food was great and the atmosphere was perfect. It was a great time and we all really enjoyed ourselves. Thanks again very much!
Great service. Very noisy.
Server was gone very long time between visits to the table. Had to ask several times for things like water and condiments. Host of meeting requested coffee before the meal. It arrived in a dirty cup. After some time, he asked for and received a new one. The dirty one remained in front of him for the rest of our stay.
Food was good. Server was nice, but could use more training.
I live in Baltimore, and my friend in DC. Clydes in Columbia is a great restaurant in a location that’s convenient for the two of us to meet up. I had the steak chopped salad, and it was awesome. Our server was nice, fun and professional.
I love the crab cakes at Clyde’s! 😍 They never disappoint !
Great food and great service
Great time and experience
Food was delish
We went on a Saturday night for a 6:45pm reservation and arrived a little bit early and seated on time. It was very crowded during the time we went. The food was average. I wish the menu had more items to choose from. I think the food and drink were above price. The staff was nice and respectful.
Another great meal and experience at Clyde’s.
Love the scallop dish -- please never delete it from the menu!
The service was great
Our waitress, Emma, was wonderful. Food was excellent
We had a nice time.
Emma our server was lovely! It was a perfect place to meet friends!
No matter how busy Clyde's gets on a Saturday evening they always honor our reservation. Our server was very pleasant and since we've dined here so many times, we knew what we wanted as soon as we sat down. When our appetizers arrived my onion soup was missing. The waiter apologized and said it would take another 4 minutes but by that time the rest of our meal arrived so I asked that the soup be put in a "to go" container and I took it home. The turkey Reuben, corned beef Reuben and 2 burgers were excellent. The hand cut fries seemed to taste even better than usual but no one could figure out why. We chose not to get dessert since we were so full. Clyde's is our favorite place for great food, great servers, and a very pleasant atmosphere. Plus free parking is always easy in a nearby garage.
Fantastic!! Best seafood in Columbia!!
Had a wonderful evening with great food and excellent wait service!
Always a great choice for lunch. Good food, nice views, pleasant staff.
SO disappointed. We always loved Clyde's in Rockville and we were going to be driving through Columbia so this seemed like a perfect way to celebrate my husband's birthday. What a mistake! The service was slow and the food was mediocre at best. Our waitress was so unpleasant. She gave us the feeling like we were not welcome. Every request was treated like such a hardship from drink refills to getting our check. We will NOT be back and I do not recommend this Clyde's.
Not rushed great waiter. Food choices could be more. Love that view! Nice experience
Our family went to Clyde’s for Sunday brunch and 2 of the 3 meals left much to be desired. One order was requested without beans; despite the waitress repeating the requested omission, if arrived with beans. That dish had to be redone, causing it to come 10-15 min after the other dishes and causing the diner to sit hungry. Additionally, the sausage accompanying an order of pancakes was cold— it had clearly been cooked quite some time before. That was sent back and caused another delay. The waitress was apologetic, at least. I don’t see any need to go back here as there are plenty of other consistently good restaurants in the area.
Excellent service and a well received meal by everyone in our party.
Overall, the service was good, although our food took a bit of time. It was the usual Clydes fare (I.e., burgers, crab cakes, crab dip, salads, fish and steak—and to my surprise there were no specials). My biggest complaint is that the bartender was unable to prepare a simple cosmopolitan or lemon drop. The nice thing about this Clydes is that you can see the lovely pond outside the window. To sum things up, it was a relaxing weekend meal with a great friend.
At lunchtime restaurant was not noisy.
I took my boyfriend and his family gl celebrate his birthday. The restaurant was very nice and comfortable. The staff was pleasant and service was good. I had the salmón, which was cooked perfectly and delicious! The only complaints were that there was not enough dressing on the Reuben sandwich or sauce on the buffalo chicken sandwich. The créeme brûlée was OUTSTANDING, creamy deliciousness!!!
I have enjoyed Clyde's of Columbia for years. Every dish that i have eaten have been enjoyable from the simple cheeseburger to the crab cakes. The food is perfectly seasoned so that you are not overpowered by salt or other seasonings. Whenever I have a visitor to Columbia, I always bring them to Clyde's. The location on Lake Kittamaquandi really shows a beautiful and historical side of Columbia, MD. The wait staff is very attentive and sensitive to allowing conversations during a meal. I would and have recommended Clyde's of Columbia to anyone visiting Columbia, MD.
Great casual dining!
The food was fairly over priced and the best service we got was at the bar area. The staff was clearly overwhelmed with an 18 person reservation that took over the whole restaurant while several other fairly large groups were also trying to check in. It resulted in my group getting pushed to the side and waiting even longer when we also had a reservation. One member of my group ordered the filet Mignon rare and was disappointed that it was cooked through even more than my medium steak. For the price, the food just wasn't that great. The wait staff was nice though and the interior of the restaurant is clean and well decorated.
