   Had a wonderful set menu lunch, the cod was delicious- incredible value for money. Beautiful ambience and fantastic/attentive/welcoming staff. Thank you! Highly recommend!

   Great service from Fatmir, a real attentive waiter! The lamb was a too tough and had a strong taste. The steak tartare was really great and tasteful. We will come back for sure as the ambience is wonderful and the service extraordinary attentive. Thank you!

   have been wanting to go for years, and it really lived up to expectations, from the minute we walked in. the Cosy and warm colours, the beautiful room (we had a table in the back room with a fireplace), the attentive service, the food, wine and atmosphere. a pefect evening

   First, I booked one month in advance and didn’t know there are good tables inside and not-so-good tables at the entrance next to the bar. I recommend asking in advance. Second, the atmosphere and decoration were great and romantic. Service was okay—nothing special. Only one waiter was friendly. Finally, the food is extremely overrated. We had the tasting menu. The scallops were okay, nothing fancy. The tartare just tasted like mayonnaise—nothing special either. The cod wasn’t good at all; it tasted like university food. The lamb chop was good, and the sauce was good too. Dessert was okay. The two most expensive white and red wines by the glass were great. Overall, the food was very disappointing and not worth the price. You’re mostly paying for the flowers and wood—if you get a nice table in the center.

   A beautiful restaurant, fabulously decorated with a superb atmosphere and ambience. The staff are friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. The food is great but not out of this world. Everyone enjoyed their meal but it wasn’t particularly unique or memorable and the portion sizes are small. The 2-course, pre-theatre set-menu is great value at £32.50 but does not includes sides, and even some of the courses offered have supplements. Although the set-menu includes a glass of Prosecco, be aware that bottles of wine are super pricey. There are a couple at £40 but most offered are £70-£100 (and lots over £1000) so additional booze comes at quite a cost. The service, while attentive, is slightly rushed. We were there for the pre-theatre sitting so knew we had limited time but had planned for the full 2-hours at the restaurant, arriving at around 5pm. The need to give the table back is felt from the moment you have the menu with the waiter checking frequently if we’d chosen. The first course was cleared away seconds after the last fork was put down and the next course swiftly brought out. Although I love great service, it was a little too speedy with drinks being topped up after almost every sip, and my Prosecco was cleared away when it still had a little left in it! A beautiful restaurant that I will return to, but next time would request that the overly attentive service is toned down or would dine at a different time.

   This was our second visit: the first time, everything was excellent. However, this time, the fish was undercooked and had to be sent back to the kitchen. On top of that, there wasn’t a single piece of lobster in the dish “Butter poached Icelandic cod, lobster & spring vegetable casserole with marjoram”, whereas there had been during our first visit. It’s unacceptable: no apology from the staff, yet the bill remained the same. We won’t be coming back.
