Friday Happy Hour starts at NOON now through August 31st. Happy Summer!
Fantastic. Great summer beverages.
Fabulous as always! Clinkerdagger has been outstanding in food, service and
ambience for many years. One of the region' finest, a true treasure for our
I was not impressed with the decor... a bit dirty (i.e. seats of chairs need new upholstery!) And, I felt like I was eating in a “Hearth & Kettle.” The menu has many similar sides with the various meals, i.e. coconut rice, coconut curry, “coconut” in lots of the dishes (Personally, I like coconut, but I do know many friends who do not care for coconut!), charred corn, corn salsa, grilled corn, curry corn... I’ve ordered Steelhead trout, x4 of my past 4 dinners, while in Spokane, and while the entree at Clinkerdaggers was the most expensive meal I’ve had, it was the least appetizing. Portions very tiny (My husband’s Halibut was about 1/3rd the size of a credit card, and was $37. ) I would not recommend this restaurant. There are many other Spokane restaurants, that are far better than this one.
We were celebrating a special occasion. The atmosphere, view, and ambiance couldn't have been better. The food (we had halibut) was delicious! Our server, Robert, was a delight and went out of his way to make our evening special. When we couldn't decide whether or not to get the famous (44-year old recipe) Crème brûlée (because we were full), he said, "since this is your first visit and you're from out of town, it's on me." We would absolutely recommend Clinkerdagger and we'll be back.
The chicken Dijon was over cooked and dry and hard. The prime ri was not 16 oz and the vegetables with it were over cooked. Mashed potatoes were gluey. I grew up in spokane and live in Portland now. Can’t believe how disappointed I was as I recall it being a wonderful experience. Service was terrific and the setting unbeatable. Wish the meal would have stacked up. Brought a friend and raves about it before. Now I’m embarrassed. I was truly rooting for you!
The food and service were excellent— and the patio was delightful. However—
it is NOT handicap accessible!! I had foot surgery, and have a knee scooter. Getting to the patio over all the cobblestones was a slow, dangerous nightmare! I can not go back until I can walk again! This is not a handicap- friendly place😕
Food was fantastic as usual
We have been going to Clinkerdaggers on our anniversary for 25 years. We live 15 hours away and make this trip to Spokane once a year. We look forward to this. This year we were accompanied by our son and his fiancé and one of their friends. Upon ordering, both my husband and I ordered the prime rib medium rare, the server told us that sometimes when you are dining outside the prime rib might not “appear” to be medium rare but that it would be. I thought it an odd comment. When the dinners were served, both prime ribs were not pink inside, no juice came out of the meat, it was difficult to cut and very tough. We did not want to embarrass our group and did not complain. We spent over $350 USD. It was very disappointing, I did not even eat half of mine. On top of that the meals were not hot.
Don’t know if we will return.
Last minute decision to have dinner at Clinkekrdagger on our way home from vacation. So glad we decided to eat here. Food was excellent, view was wonderful and great service all the way around.
I am continually amazed at the exorbitant price for the dinners for what you get. I ordered the lobster and had two lobster tails which were actually very good. It comes with a brussel sprout combination , which were dry, and I asked for the season green beans instead. I got the brussel sprout combination, and so I asked the server and she said that yes she remembers and that she'll bring them out to me right away which she did.
My sons took their dad for a belated Father’s Day dinner- it is one of his most favorite places to go. We usually choose Clinks when we have something special to celebrate. F
Wonderful place to eat!! Service was great!
We happened to be in Spokane for the day of our anniversary. I was able to make a reservation through Open Table, but couldn’t request a window seat. I was very glad that one opened up just in time for us to have a great view!
The appetizers were delicious, I especially liked the baked Brie. The Washington state white wine I tried complimented it very nicely. Same with the Steelhead trout. I was glad Clinkerdagger had been recommended to us!
We came for another Monday Date Night. Last time we were not totally happy, but this time made up for that. Had a wonderful time. Got seated where requested near window overlooking the river. Lacy, our server, could not have been better. We got the chardonnay and enjoyed the bottle throughout our meal, served from a chilled marble. My guest had the caesar salad and it came with several requested anchovies. I had the blue cheese salad and it had nice chunks of blue cheese and slivered almonds and chopped egg. We both requested the hazelnut butter coated salmon and requested it rare, along with extra vegetables rather than the potatoes. Salmon was nicely rare (as rare as you can get a thinner piece of salmon. The veggies tasted freshly prepared with nice crunch and some charring. We got a bowl of berries for dessert rather than the two options. Very pleasant finish. Highly recommend Date Night specifically, and the restaurant in general. No better value for $60 a couple.
The food was tasty, but the service was on the slow side. They have great views of the river, and they are a Spokane staple. But there is better food elsewhere for the price, and better service too.
We think of Clinkerdaggers as our romantic getaway, and are treated like royalty every time we have dined there. We would highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion, and can guarantee a great time.
Got a bad oyster on each of our 2 orders, signature martinis were warm, service was extremely slow....it was our son’s birthday & was overall a very disappointing experience.
Really needs to be updated.
We arrived at 530. No one waiting. Waited about 10-15 minutes and we did have reservations too. After being seated, no one came to our table after 10 minutes. Finally had to ask for water. Once the food arrived quite a bit later it was good. We felt like we went back to the 70s while we were there.
Probably won't go back.
If we did, we would maybe just check out the bar for a drink or coffee.
It was my girlfriend's 50th birthday. We had four of us to celebrate. All four meals were ABSOLUTELY perfect. Every morsel was delicious. I had been here before. This was the first time for my three girlfriends. They could not stop raving about everything. In addition to the food, our server was phenomenal. His name is Nathan. Nathan served us as if we were the only table he had to pay attention to. His small conversation with us was delightful. We thoroughly enjoyed him. We are going to request Nathan when we go again. We enjoyed the food, the service and the view of the Spokane River. The restaurant itself has a lot of character.
The staff here are always very friendly and attentive. We've never had a bad meal. Food is always excellent.
As always, Clinkerdaggers serves a great meal, for lunch or dinner. Lunch for 6 (with virgin drinks but no desert) averaged $28/person; each dish was creative and tasty. Get a window seat if you can, or in good weather an outdoor seat--the view of the Spokane River is spectacular.
Been at the restaurant many times. Always exceeds my expectations.
We always love Clink’s, but not our favorite this time around. We were celebrating our anniversary. Our server was wonderful, but the main entree was slow getting out. Food was pretty good, but we’ve had better there. Overall, it was fine, and I’m sure we’ll be back.
The delicious food and attentive service always make dining at Clinkerdagger's a special experience!
Very fine restaurant with an attentive staff willing to accommodate special requests
The food was outstanding and the service was great, the only thing was it was our 24 year anniversary and they sat us in a corner and we wanted outside on the balcony to hear the water.... but o well.
I was in Spokane for the first time in 20 years and remembered this restaurant. The soothing sounds and view of the river on the patio were a plus. The fish was very fresh and prepared well. The let down was the service which was very slow, I drink glasses were empty for a while and the food didn't arrive until 30 minutes after we ordered. I would go back for the view and food, hope his is not standard for the service.
Food was very good. We ate outside on patio overlooking the river, so background noise was high, but we knew that going into table selection. Server was very delightful, pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, no fault of hers, food delivery was slow. Both server and Manager apologized and both offered 2 free desserts, both of which were very good. Overall, still a very good place to eat, lunch or dinner.
Sat next to a guy wearing a dirty t-shirt, shorts and a hat. For a hundred dollar plus dinner I did not expect I would be dining with low life's!
I have been eating here for years. On this occasion our food was horrible and embarrassing. I ordered the Halibut that was cold and raw. My guests ordered steak and prime rib which was also barely warm. The prime rib looked like it went through a meat grinder, was cook, re-heated, etc. It was leathery. They offered "fingerling" potatoes which is not what they served. it was fried potatoes. When we showed the staff the raw fish she left and got the manager right away. what was odd is that they both wanted to leave that cold raw fish on the table, I had to ask that it be removed. The manager did make it all right, brought me a warm plate (long after my guests finished their meal) and comp'd our meals but I was shocked to see this level of dining. Even after I got my halibut it was decent but not worth the price they were charging.
We love, love Clinks! Great food, excellent service, and outstanding view. This is our go to place for date nights.
Whenever we travel to Spokane , this is a must do. Haven't had anything I didn't love off the menu...special shoutout to the scallops!.Atmosphere, view are excellent, and the staff are above and beyond.
Amazing as always!!!
Took advantage of the June “Monday couples dinner”. Service and meal was wonderful. Window seat overlooking the falls. Will be back.
We had the baked Brie appetizer- what a treat! Great presentation and delicious! The mahi was outstanding, as was the New York steak with bleu cheese and butter. Of course we had to have the side of pea salad- one of our favorites! Service was exceptional! We had a great evening!
Husbands food was cold. They offered to replace but it would have meant waiting for a new meal. Our bread was very dry but they did replaceMy martini was not made correctly and comment from me was not taken as seriously as it should have been
Fun place, nice ambiance, interesting menu, attentive staff, great graduation celebration.
New menu not great.
We will never go back.
I have allergies. Within 10 minutes of being seated --they went nuts. Eyes puffed up, sneezing. I surmised they obviously NEVER vacuum or dust.
It took 20 minutes for our waitress to come to the table. Another 10 to get WATER. Another 15 for her to get our drink and dinner order. So 45 minutes in and we began our 40 minute wait for our dinner. 2 rare steaks and 1 salmon. 40 min for RARE.
Steaks came medium well. Salmon came MW and dry as heck too.
We sent steaks back. I kept and ate dry salmon because I was hungry. Steaks came back blue rare (sign of a novice chef) but family ate what they could. They were well seasoned.
Mgmt was very nice and treated us to 3 free desserts so we could at least eat one course together. Even after all that service was slow and inattentive.
Very disappointing based on reviews and prices. A lovely view of the river is really all this place has to offer. Thank you to mgmt for trying but at $40+ per steak I shouldn't have to have to send anything back. And I'm still craving GOOD salmon!
