Great place to celebrate a birthday in a nice fashion
Slow and disorganized service. Meal was very overpriced for what was served. Wine list outrageously expensive. No way this is AAA four stars. Skip it.
Great ambiance sitting outside in the covered patio. Inside is not as appealing is it is outdated. Food and service was superb. Prices are higher than the norm for similar offerings at competing venues. Location and charm of this historic Victorian home was unique.
Reservations made to return in a week!
Food was good, but overall service and experience as poor. I was disappointed as it was our anniversary dinner.
A quiet, peaceful dinner experience, very pleasant! As an aside, duck was prepared rare and we were not asked how we would like the meat so I recommend letting the server know if rare is not desired.
This was a delightful dinner. Blue crab appetizer was perfect. Duck was seasoned and lovely. Colorado chicken with asperagus rocked. Chateneuf du Pape great choice. Soufflé with port was excellent ending.
Wow! What a surprise. Great food. Great service. And, a wonderful wine list. A hidden gem.
Dining on the veranda on a wonderful evening.
Trout and salmon were excellent!
Excellent service with just the right level of attentiveness.
Social distancing well executed yielding relaxing experience.
Great for gluten free (celiac). Love the porch!
The Sommelier was very knowledgable about the wines offered.
The food was just ok which is disappointing for the price. But what was more shocking was the service. The staff was not friendly in slightest. Skip this place.
The Cliff House Diner was exquisite. Highly recommended!
We live the Cliff House and sat on the porch tonight. Even with the required masks while walking around Manitou the trip up for dinner was worth it! Staff was just a bit over worked and didn’t get water refills until we asked twice, other than that they were great!
First class service in main dining room, and very professional. Quickly offered alternative when requested. Fine dining with nice amenities. Wine steward came by and we discussed the alternatives of wine that might go with my main course. Overall a very good experience.
The outdoor dining was very nice also, but not quite as good as indoors.
It was a great experience. The food was delish. There were a few loud kids, but they can’t help that. Overall, it was a great atmosphere.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our anniversary. I made a special request in advance for our drink of choice and it was waiting our arrival. Dinner was very flavorful and the service was outstanding. Thank you so much for helping us celebrate.
This was our “fancy” night out in Manitou Springs. We got dressed up, read the glowing reviews and were excited to be having a fine dining experience for our friend‘a 50th birthday celebration.
Upon arrival ( 8:30pm reservation) our table was not ready. The outside patio was perfect for us and they were not busy! Some of our party went to the restrooms. We got a text from one of the girls with a pic of empty toilet paper rolls asking us to get either some tissues or TP she was in the bathroom stall. This was the start of our fine dining experience!
It took a while to get our table of 5 ready and then the waitress with plastic gloves way too big for her asked us for our drinks orders. We gave them and waited, and waited....they came. The food was excellent we all loved it. The waitress never checked on us and a maintenance person was trying to get into a side door right next to us. Weird
All in all a very disappointing experience. The staff was not friendly and service did not reflect the fine dining it was advertised as.
We have dined at the Cliff House several times over the past decade and it's always a wonderful evening. This particular visit started off rocky but was still very good overall. They also had some wonderful live music (classical guitar soloist). Food was great, wine even better, and the bread pudding is amazing.
Customer service needs some serious improvement.
A lovely evening on the veranda
Service was very poor, mixed credit card charges, very, very slow, the wrong drink was served. Said they didn’t do reservations through Open Table anymore and didn’t believe that we had a reservation. Manager was rude upon arrival and when we tried to get her attention to ask about a drink that had not been served, we were told she had to serve food and couldn’t help
us. They weren’t that busy either The food was good and the atmosphere like we remember so we will give them another chance. Call for your reservation, DO NOT USE OPEN TABLE!!!
The food was excellent. 1st dessert souffle we ever had...rare to find a souffle especially at this altitude. The duck was very well done, as was the chicken breast and very, very good trout. Very well chosen wine list as well.
Lovely meal and wonderful classical guitarist
Bradford is fantastic, great recommendations!
Felt rushed to get in and out. Especially the next morning at breakfast after staying the night at the hotel.
We loved it and will be coming back.
We have spent two anniversaries and three birthday celebrations at the Cliff House and once for no occasion at all. Never disappointed.
Celebrated our anniversary with a great meal at the Cliff House in Manitou Springs, CO. The food and device was excellent. Classical guitar artist playing in the dining room made it even better.
They have taken so many steps to ensure sanitation and social distancing. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We celebrate our anniversary there every year and there was no hesitation to when visiting this year.
Excellent service and food!!!

Great food and ambiance at a quaint location in beautiful Manitou Springs.
Amazing experience and Cliffhouse saved our anniversary after a terrible experience at a restaurant that we left just minutes before. Thank you :)
We celebrated our anniversary with dinner here. The service was really good, especially with their reduced staffing due to the COVID restrictions currently in place. The food was delicious, we both had the filet. We shared the chocolate mousse cake, which was rich and creamy!
The Cliff House has a reputation for fine dining. What happened? I understand that Covid 19 has made an impact, but our experience was far from fine. Weekly my husband and I dine out. There was zero ambiance. A large empty room. Tables and chairs and nothing. The wine was excellent. The food was tasteless . I feel serving the whole trout, minus the head, is unappetizing. The chicken was boring and minimal. The service was excellent. I suggest you enjoy fine dining at Marigold’s Restaurant. An exceptional place, atmosphere, excellent cruise, and desserts to die for, priceless.
We dined on June 12th. Social distancing was still required. We had a delicious meal which was our first time out in 3 months.
Very much appreciate the consideration by Cliff House staff for the virus situation. All wore masks. Our table satisfied social distancing. As expected the service, food and ambiance were excellent. It may not be the same as before but we felt safer given that this was our first dining out experience since the pandemic restrictions were activated. Thank you!
Fine food prepared and presenred beatifully. Excellent service. Great for that special occasion.
The food was excellent and the service was good. They were operating on a skeleton crew due to Covid guidelines. Would highly recommend.
