   My husband scheduled a stay here at least once a year. The ambiance is lovely and relaxing with an overall unique experience. Food and service always superb as is the overall staff and service here. We'll be back and would highly recommend a stay or schedule a dinner only. You won't be disappointed! :)

   We went for a New Years date. The Service was fantastic. We both had old fashions which were good but not great. Our appetizer, the gnocchi was spot on. Delicious. The caprese salad should be a shareable instead of a personal salad. It is very large and not put together in a way easy to eat. My spinach salad tasted good but was drowning in the dressing. We ordered the trout (which was really good) and the duck. The duck and Brussel sprouts were very tatsy. Unfortunately the grits they were on were cold and clumpy which took something away from the rest of the meal. Overall a place to visit and eat at.

   The food and ambience was awesome. Definitely worth the money! The service was good, but very disorganized. They had 3 people taking care of every table, so there seemed to be a lot of miscommunication. I also disagree with the tip pooling, but that's more a criticism of the management.

    Food was not worth the money we paid — overdone Chicken Tender, overdone Turkey Dinner, Overdone Prime Rib.. we had our Chicken Tenders remade & they did bring us another Prime Rib, but still— it was underwhelming overall Food Quality wise..Also the staff seamed stressed, overwhelmed…it made for a stressful experience

    Very glad Cliff House was open on Christmas day. The staff was friendly and welcoming and did not seem upset about working on Christmas day.

    What another wonderful dining experience we had on Christmas Eve at the Cliff House at Pikes Peak! The food was excellent; great ambience and service. This has become a tradition for my son and I to dine there during the holidays. It was an amazing experience and we will certainly return!

    The hype was better than the experience. There was nothing bad per say, other than the long time between meals which is more on the kitchen staff than the service as we saw other tables running into long wait times too. Our server was nice and made a good recommendation on wine which was appreciated, but the time between meals and seeing him were slow turning the dining experience into a 2+ hour night out. The atmosphere was nice and we appreciated the Victorian style Christmas decor, but there was nothing that stuck out to us as being a place I would return. We spent about $200+ including tip, but frankly idk if the overall value was worth it. I ordered the elk which was recommended medium to medium rare, but came out rare. I never got a steak knife which is sorely needed to cut through the thick cut of meat and didn’t see my waiter at a point I could ask. Overall it wasn’t bad, just nothing special that I would come back too. Maybe an off night, idk but with the kind of bill that rivals steak houses, you’d expect more umph! Honestly, if things moved quicker and small things improved like making sure I get a steak knife I think this would be a great place for a nice intimate meal.

    I almost never write reviews, but my wife and I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Cliff House. The food was outstanding and world class. We had scallops and roast duck .. and we finished every morsel.

    This was a celebration dinner, we were never asked about occasion. I had the duck two ways and it was great, sauce a little sweet but meat was tender and delicious. Two of our party had elk ribeye and joked there was no game taste and the elk must have been pen raised, the meat wasn’t very tender. Both said potatoes were best thing on plate. My wife had the filet and it tasted pretty good and was decent size but was tough on the exterior while tender on the inside. One person had the salmon and said it was ok but nothing to write home about. The last person ordered the pasta and didn’t eat but half of it. Rather disappointed because my wife and I had eaten there before and were very impressed. The waiter had described in detail every menu question and the chef actually came out to our table and chatted us up. Our latest waiter just answered every question with it’s good. For the money the experience wasn’t worth it. Plenty of other fine dining establishments in the Springs and Denver. The food was good but it didn’t wow. The place and atmosphere was very cool.

    We came to the Cliff House for my husband’s birthday. It was a perfect meal, food wise. The elk was perfectly cooked, and our friends enjoyed their mains and desserts. My only negative is the lack of background music for the first hour plus meant that all guests felt obligated to whisper. Live music began later in the evening and then it felt more comfortable. I would recommend having music the whole time, live or otherwise. We had stellar service. Our waiter George was thoughtful, attentive, and gave excellent advice. Five stars for him, for sure.

    Beautiful diner with my son. Food was exceptional. Had the Rainbow Trout and it was prepared so delish, best fish I’ve had. Put my son’s steak to shame. So much flavor. Extensive wine menu from all over the world! Chose a wine from Tuscany and it was delish! I’d recommend going and experience one nice dinner out! They had a beautiful guitarist playing background music, just perfect!

    A historic dining room. Dine where America illuminaries once dined! The breakfast buffet meets average expectations for hotel buffet fare. It is filling, but not outstanding; serves its purpose well! Supper is marvelous!! The menu is compelling, and our selections were delectable. Don’t miss the wine selection. Vegan accommodations are not ready here. Be prepared to ask for accommodation if you are vegetarian/vegan.
