Horrible service and food was alright but for the cost it was wont be back .
We have eaten here before while visiting our kids at college. Our past experiences have been great. This time was good except my steak which was supposed to be done Medium, was raw in the middle. Our server agreed that it was definitely undercooked for Medium. He apologized, offered me a complimentary dessert, and said he was going to have the manager stop and talk to me. Unfortunately the manager was on the phone and never came by. It was a disappointing experience for me this time around. My husband and the kids food all was excellent. If I go back, i will definitely cut into the middle of my steak as soon as it arrives instead of cutting around the edges and eating my side first. Lesson learned for me.
This was the first time in my life that I had a medium steak, and also the first time I had a steak without steak sauce, and I don’t think I’ll ever go back to medium well. The steak was amazing, mashed potatoes were so incredibly fluffy and flavorful. Will be back soon!
It is always a great experience and our waitress last night was amazing!
Food and service were great.
Food and service were great.
Reservation had been made and while traveling there there was a terrible accident on 480 ultimately leading to someone’s death.
I called the restaurant to explain we may have been late due to a deter and they were quite unhelpful
I was told twice reservation could only be held for 15 minutes
Luckily we were only 5 minutes late
But it was An unusual circumstance and a little kindness goes a long way.
We were still traveling to the restaurant but were obviously going to be late.
Food & service was tremendous. Reco was outstanding as a server.
Even though we had booked for brunch and they were not serving brunch Bc of the Browns game, we still went for lunch and we are so glad we did!
Flavor galore and house made everything!! It is a must when visiting Cleveland!
Get the short ribs!
It was perfect!!!!
Amazing service amazing food nice atmosphere definitely will be coming back to this restaurant
Chop’s house blonde ale was on point. Caesar salad was amazing. The jalapeño cornbread was delicious like always. But. The steaks disappointed, hard. We went with the server’s recommendation of the filet and the ribeye, straying from our usual strip. She meant well, stating the other two cuts were more tender and juicier. Unfortunately she was incorrect. First, neither cow nor potato had any additional butter, cardinal sin for any restaurant. You have to add the dollop of butter for maximal deliciousness. But sidetrack then butter for a moment, the newly ventured steak were the opposite of juicy and tender. The filet and ribeye checked in at medium rare, but somehow dry and unflavorful. The outside of the filet was over charred. The ribeye was half fat, and not the good juicy tasty fat, and chewier than my moms beef jerky. The mashed potatoes were dry and lacked any butter, ensuring there was no mashed potato/butter/steak juice mixture to dip each bite in. Chop has been our go to steak joint for three years now, swearing it was the best steak in Cleveland. Not sure how I feel about that standing now.
Good food and atmosphere, just could offer a little more for what you pay.
One of the best steaks we’ve ever eaten! We will definitely be back.
Just an amazing experience, we were in a bit of hurray to attend to a play, staff and services couldn’t have been more accommodating. The food came fast and was absolutely amazing.
Love this restaurant. We were visiting from out of town, and knew exactly where we wanted to eat. Did not disappoint. Complementary corn bread was the best we ever had. Highly recommend
Great food & service
Excellent service! Delicious food!
What a special dining experience. A little expensive but worth it. Everyone at the table thought this was the ideal place to fellowship with family and friends. The food was outstanding and the service was the best we have seen in recent visits (not just the Cleveland area) to other restaurants.
Our server Samantha was great, the food was delicious and we were taken care of in a timely manner so that we could make it out in time for our play
The food was incredible. The pork chop was so juicy and flavorful. I would definitely come back when in town.
Our food was great. We stopped in for a nice date night before seeing a show at Playhouse Square. Our server was also very attentive.
Highly recommended: Onion soup, lobster bisque. Must order: ribeye steak, perfectly marbled, perfectly grilled. Onions and mushrooms on the side. Skip the wedge salad.
Great filet! The chop margarita was also really good.
Went for a business meeting and it was great! Amazing food and great service!
The steaks my wife and I had here were very good. My baked potato was huge. Wife loved her crispy Brussels sprouts. Sean our server was very good. professional while still being personable.
Overall, our experience at Cleveland Chop was very disappointing. My husband and I received our steaks and he cut a piece off of his steak and noticed it was pink so he cut it in half and saw that his steak was medium rare instead of medium well. The waitress took his steak back and it took so long to get his steak back that I had to decide if I wanted to wait for him to get his food back so we could eat together even though my food would be cold by then, or if I wanted to eat without him. He got his steak back and we found out that they had simply put all 3 pieces of his cut up steak back on the grill. So now his steak was burnt on the outside, dry, chewy and well done. He told the waitress that they put his original steak back on the grill and she said “That’s pretty standard unless you took a bite out of it. You didn’t take a bite out of it, did you?” Luckily he hadn’t taken a bite out of it, but to me it looked like he had and it’s concerning that they didn’t confirm that first, because I would be shocked if putting food that someone took a bite out of back on the grill wasn’t a health code violation. Even if that isn’t a health code violation, it’s a bad and gross practice for a restaurant to have. They tried to offer us a free brownie and, after talking to the waitress, they did end up not charging us for my husband’s steak because it was so over cooked that he didn’t eat more than half of it. But when you’re paying for a $50 steak (and we got one of the cheaper steaks) you don’t want to eat alone while your husband waits for his food and you expect a new steak, not an overdone cut up version of the original steak that you first received. Going to the Cleveland Chop was supposed to be a splurge for me and my husband and we were extremely excited to go because we heard how amazing it was and this was our first time going to Cleveland together since we got married earlier this year so we wanted to do something fun.
It’s was great nice staff
Everything was fantastic, will definitely go again.
Our reservation time at Cleveland Chop happened to be at the same time many people who attended the Browns game arrived so it was busy. Kudos to the kitchen staff & the waitstaff who did a wonderful job keeping up with everything.
Great convenient pregame brunch location. Although Homer Simpson would even struggle to break even on the steep buffet-only pricing. Dicey internet reception.
Was not made aware even after calling to confirm reservation that Sunday's brunch was a $45 buffet. Would have been nice to know that ahead of time because it honestly may have changed our minds. The brunch menu online looked like a normal brunch menu with food itemized. I would suggest advertising it online better so patrons know what they are walking into. Food was good, but I was not prepared to eat $45 worth. Yes, could have walked out, did not need to stay. Just saying it would have been nice to know that ahead of time had it been advertised better and even on their website.
Amazing had a great time
And the cowboy steak was sooooo good!! 10/10.
We eat here everytime we're in Cleveland. Staff is friendly and the food is delicious!
Everything was outstanding, the service, and most importantly the food. Our server Sam was attentive but not pushy or overbearing. We highly recommend Chop.
Great experience after the Browns home opener! They were overwhelmed with guests but everything went very smoothly and the food was great! We will be back!!
Wonderful experience. Server and manager were great!
We had a marvelous experience at Cleveland Chop. There was parking across the street. The restaurant interior is woody and perfect for a chop house. The hostess and server were on point. They also rescued my mobile phone and kept the door open so I could pick it up after hours.
Thank you to the owner for taking care of our large group reservation at last minute.
