Excellent steak and prime rib. Tuesday is half price wine by the bottle, limited to $60 or less by the bottle. You’ll find some very good values. Service is very attentive.
I always love City Range for consistent delicious food. I live in downtown Greenville and it is always worth it to leave my home turf for a good steak or brunch.
I love the jazz brunch and the ambiance of quiet.
Went on Sunday 4/8 for a small birthday gathering. Place was quiet at time (4pm) and were seated right away. Having been to this place 4 other times in 2018 we knew the menu. It was a party of three and all had steaks. 2 petite filets(6oz) and 12oz NY Strip. Each cooked perfectly and service was excellent. To please a 95yr old who is fussy on food is alot to say about this place. We enjoy it each time we go. The quietness of the place(maybe 4 other tables/booths occupied when we got there) was a welcome addition as many times when we go it is louder as it is popular place for families.
We will probably return for Mother's day.
The food and service at City Range are always top notch! Great place to go for a special occasion or on a casual date.
Good food, service and atmosphere. We had a very nice Easter Brunch for family of seven. A bit too noisy though.
Food took very long to arrive
My family enjoyed a delicious Easter meal. Our waitress was excellent as was the food.
My friends and I enjoyed our get together at CityRange. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was just right and we had great service. This is a place you can go to for many different occasions.
Had a very nice Sunday brunch / lunch get together with friends. Dined in the bar area which was away from the music in the main dining room . Much easier for conversation.
The service was great, there was anything you could want on the menu and it was very reasonably priced. We all loved our food and enjoyed the "fix your own Bloody Mary bar"!!!!!! We will definitely be back soon.
Great food and great service.
Great , food was good.
Some of the best Prime rib you will find anywhere.
We waited an hour and a half for our food and never received it, and that was with reservations. Several members of the wait staff walked by our table and never even asked if there was a problem, one finally refilled our glasses after 45mins of waiting. Three tables that came in after us got their food and were finished eating when we finally gave up and walked out. At that point the manager asked if there was anything he could do. I will never return to this location.
Prime rib was excellent, only thing I would like improved is a better house salad - just field greens, a sliced cherry tomato, two little onion slices, and 5 croutons - otherwise, very nice meal.
One of us had filet which was very good. One of us had the Pecan and Gorgonzola salad which was excellent. The seafood pot pie was not very good. It would have been better to just order the seafood without the sauce, etc. The fish that was used in the pot pie was not a good fish to use. The shrimp and scallops were OK. I've been there before and it is a very good restaurant but the seafood pot pie is not a good dish.
Great Restaurant!! Good service and food!
It took over an hour to receive our entree. The bread was covered with something sticky that got on our hands. The olive oil with the bread had very few herbs. The house salad was dry and didn't have enough dressing. The potato was overcooked. The Porterhouse steak was overdone, had too much butter garlic sauce and had a lot of fat and gristle. Not very appetizing.
I realize that their were some large parties there, but the restaurant should have staffed for that.
I don't plan to go back.
Five meals in three weeks only because they were close to the hotel. Food is adequate if under seasoned.
Very uneven service.
Our service could have been better. It took too long to get our drinks the salad was delivered after a long wait and our main course was served before the salad could be eaten. Some things slow some things too fast!
Prime rib was tough and of poor quality. Asked to substitute creamed spinach for mashed potatoes. Mashed potatoes came anyway and had to ask for the asparagus that should have been included in the first place.
The "New" Spinach salad with sweet potato garnishment. No garnishment arrived. Dump some spinach in a small bowl a couple of sliced mushrooms and a squirt of dressing and call it a salad? It was terrible.
My 17 year-old niece could have made a nicer salad.
This place does the bare minimum and is not worth a return trip.
Excellent service and great food
Bone in ribeye was excellent!
We took our grandson and one of his friends to this restaurant for his birthday. Since they are both "college kids", we thought that they might enjoy a non-institutional dinner. They were encouraged to order anything they wanted and they did not hold back (which is exactly what we wanted).
All of our steaks were cooked perfectly and that is no mean feat as I usually have to explain in excruciating detail that "medium well-done" is not the same as "medium rare". I have had to send back steaks on numerous occasions at other establishments that were not cooked sufficiently. Not so in this case.
The side dishes were also excellent and the dessert menu was extensive enough to fit everyone's pallet. We all had a very good time and therefore not offended by the bill. It worked out to approximately $40.00 per person.
Good as always
We had a fine lunch with a couple of friends. I had the sliced prime rib sandwich, which hit the spot.
Good atmosphere and helpful staff. Portions were a bit small for the price I thought but ok
Don't get the calamari. I should have known better. My ribeye was okay at best. Simply put, this is not anything close to a high end steak house.
Great service and the waiter was excellent! Good food and ambiance as well.
Great experience all around. Love the fire side table.
Valentine’s Day dinner. Food was excellent. Only one issue was my husband ordered a second beer that never came. Not sure whose fault that was.
Not a great experience for us. Food was ok to bad. Waiter was on something and service was very slow. Steaks not cooked to order. Complaints were addressed and comped w a free dessert but not someplace I would go again.
The shrimp cocktail was excellent- great fresh larg shrimp in the frozen ice. The meatballs were the best I have ever eaten. The grilled slamon was very good, but i would recommend having the slamon from several years back with a cristy outside, moist and tender inside with the apricot sauce- thsi was excellent.
We did not have to wait long for our table and the service was very good. We all enjoyed our meal
Food wasn’t worth the price, kind of tasted like a airline meal
Loved everything about your restaurant except the noise level it was exceptionally loud
We drove down from lake Wylie sc
For valentines date
We had reservations and were seated in the back dinning room
The noise level was so loud we couldn’t talk to the waitress with speaking in a very loud tone
My date and I couldn’t carry on a conversation because of the noise level
Great place but the noise level spoiled a great time food and service
Maybe if we come back we can sit in the main area which didn’t seem as loud
You would think that making reservations you would be afforded a quite place
That was our only disappointment
Great experience and awesome food. Service was amazing. It felt like the comfort of home but the elegance of a suit and tie event. Will definitely be back.
Fried oysters were cold and mushy with little flavor. Red fish was partly dry. Wedge salad was just ok. That was my dinner.
My dates steak and salad was very good.
Just an ok dinner for the price.
The food was magnificent as always. It was Valentine's Day and we were able to get last minute reservations. We had guests from Atlanta who fell in love with the place!
Not very fancy. Steak was okay, but nothing to write home about and it was definitely not worth the price point. The ambiance was noisy and bright, not romantic for Valentine’s Day at all.
I’m not sure we’ll return since the food was expensive for the quality, but it’s definitely more of an everyday dining place rather than a special occasion place.
Last December, we came for our anniversary dinner. February 14th, we came to celebrate Valentine's Day. My ladies' group at church has been many times for lunch. There has never been a bad experience, and we will keep coming back!
