CityRange Steakhouse - Greenville Ratings and Reviews
The food was Amazing! My husband and I don’t go here it much, but we both agreed we need to go more after eating at City Range! The only downside was the light from the doorway that was in my eyes for about 10 minutes that the manager acted like suck it up! They really should install a shade... otherwise it was AWESOME!
Food taste was above average. Our order was mostly correct. One meal was prepared incorrectly and one salad was prepared incorrectly. Most of food was brought out either room temperature or slightly colder; thankfully not “cold.” It wasn’t worth the time sending all the meals back just to warm them up. Our waitress was very nice and polite.
We go here every Christmas Eve and have had great times and service. This time was different. Our waiter seemed not interested in us a part of 7. He seemed like we were bothering him. Food was great as usual. I expected more from this quality of restaurant in the service.
Best steak , i have had in a long time. Not too much spices or seasonings, just right. Sat by the fire and had a nice glass of wine. Nice wait staff and no waiting with reservations. Will recommend. Already have, in fact.
Here would be a few things that would be nice to have.
Button mushrooms , please have a selection of at least one more than what you have now.
Shoe string FF and an opportunity to have shoe string potatoes straws , if not FF.
A wedge of lettuce with blue cheese crumbs and bacon and tiny tomatoes.
Was not impressed with the food at all. Had the open faced roast beef. The beef was cold, bun was cold and very dry. Had to request au jue to help get it down. The fries were very cold. Would I return, absolutely NOT. This restaurant might be ok for some but not me.
1st visit....but won't be the last! Food was FABULOUS! Service was great, timed each course delivery well. My husband's birthday was celebrated with yummy dessert...not horrific singing like some places do. Was surprised at reasonable pricing. 5 star review, heck, I'd give 10! Definitely my new fave.
Super happy with our experience! Really like the ambiance from the remodel. Excellent food that is flavorful and diverse. We will be back. Went as a family of 4, 2 children 9-14, and 2 adults. Desserts, wine/ beer, Main entrees, soups, and salads. We all left very happy and plan to come back soon!
Ordered prime rib. Food came out cold. Sent order back. Cold again. After third try it was better. Compt a $5 desert on a $90 bill. There was no excuse for cold food as the restaurant had maybe a dozen tables seated. Very disappointing for an anniversary meal.
We had not been to City Range in a while and decided to have Sunday brunch there before heading downtown for a show. The food was great! Selection is really nice. The atmosphere is inviting. Parking is a great benefit compared to dining downtown. Will be back soon.
Our server, Casey, mentioned a special still available and it was a petite filet "Oscar" with lobster meat topping for $30. When the meal came the "Oscar" topping was crab not lobster. We mentioned it to Casey and he went to the kitchen and came back very apologetic. He always thought "Oscar" was with Lobster meat and we were the first persons to mention the topping was NOT lobster. Then when the bill came the special was $37 on the bill, not the $30 he mentioned. We said nothing to Casey. Very, very disappointing for a restaurant that is usually top notch. We will continue to come back.
We ate brunch yesterday (a Sunday ) and had terrible service. We had to ask the waitress three times for a cup of coffee. It wasn't terribly busy so she wasn't overwhelmed. We also asked her to fix the unbalanced table, and while she agreed she never fixed it. At one point, she refilled a water glass by mistake with ice tea (she recognized her mistake and looked skyward with exasperation). Our food took some time to get to the table and it underwhelmed us. Small portions and nothing special. We used to go here regularly but will go no more.
Mediocre at best. Filet mignon was cooked at too low of a temperature. It was correctly done but the outside was soft. They brought out a different sauce then we ordered. Mash potatoes were very good. Service was prompt. I was overcharged for my drink. The waiter corrected it when it was pointed out.
We totally enjoyed our dinners. Special dietary needs were met completely. We came during Restaurant Week and the special entrees were wonderful. Will definitely return in the future.
Also, we were seated almost immediately at our reservation time. Thanks so much.
In town for an event and just happened to find City Grill. It was a perfect place for our dinner after a busy day. The food was great (steak; salmon), service friendly and helpful, decor fresh and comfortably modern, prices reasonable. We have marked it on a "repeat list" for future travel to Greenville
