River Domes return for their fall season October 16th - November 30!

River domes can accommodate groups of 2 - 8 and are by reservation only. Reservations provide you & your guests 2.5 hours in this intimate, climate controlled, one-of-a-kind setting on the Chicago Riverwalk. All dome reservations are approximately $85/guest - including a $25 non-refundable rental fee per person, and a $60 food and beverage minimum spend per guest. Open Table will take a credit card number to secure your reservation - nothing will be charged to that card except in the event of a no-show or late-notice (less than 48 hours) cancellation fee. River domes are fully furnished, and we provide a bluetooth speaker for guests to utilize as well as games to play during your time with us. Please keep in mind that, due to the nature of service, all river dome guests must be 21+.

    The experience was like no other in front of the rover in a bubble dome. Food was a great and the drinks exceptionally made for chilly evening. The service lacked a proper greeter, we arrived and wandered aimlessly for 5 minutes being brushed off by servers inside. The dome definitely lives up to the hype with a few minor flaws the string lights in our dome were half burnt out, heat was being provided by space heaters who only half worked making our evening just a little chilly. The service provided by our server made up for some of the flaws but to sit here and say I’ll be back would be a stretch. I do recommend to at least try it once who knows you might have better luck.

    FYI what’s not in the fine print - the $60 minimum also includes a $25 reservation fee so the minimum per person is actually $85. Additionally, their service model is that you’re meant to put in bulk orders as the waiters do not come back often. The manager explained this was detailed in email communications but the only emails I received were from OpenTable confirming my reservation and did not outline any of that relevant information. Fair warning in case you did not receive any of those details before dining there either.

    Way overpriced. Food and drinks were terrible, with very slim selection and poor quality, especially the steak for what you pay. Nice experience to be outside in a cozy dome but not what I expected.

    We have dined at the main City Winery on Randolph many times, and expected our experience in their Dome to be of comparable quality. We were very disappointed to learn that they were out of our favorite City Winery wine, several beers and a few appetizers. We expected more from an experience with a $85/person minimum.

    Dome experience- the venue was really cute. Loved it. The temperature not so much. We had two heaters. We could only use 1 because when you plugged in the other it blew a fuse. So we only had one and that one only got to 66 degrees. They kept trying to bring others and none worked. It was cold and then the rain came and therefore our waiter went MIA. I had to leave the Bubble and go get him. I was a little miffed to say the least. They did comp our bible rental fee. But that was an awful experience. My husband had the salmon and his disk was really good. My lobster Mac and cheese was a little lack luster. And the bubble is plastic and out zipper was broken. The experience was not at all how I pictured it.

    Me and my husband went for a date night and absolutely loved everything about it! The ambience the interaction and things available in the igloo was outstanding. The food was average but drinks were very good. I would definitely recommend and look forward to going back.

    Fun experience. Enjoyed a night with friends in the dome with a beautiful skyline and fireworks from the Christmas parade. Most of our food was good. Salmon was delicious and we enjoyed the Macaroons for dessert. Our server was attentive and easy to work with. Two in our group ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese - about half way through the entree we came to the conclusion the kitchen forgot to put the lobster sauce and lobster in the dish. We paid $26 each for a bland mac and cheese! Would have been 5 stars had all our food been prepared correctly.

    So the experience is great, the overall price is hefty!!! Some dishes were unacceptable, like the Lobster Mac n Cheese...DEFINITELY not worth the money... Take lots of pics, go w ppl you really care about Play good music and drink heavily!!! Make memories, then go get a bucket of wings afterwards...

    I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting Chicago. The only thing I would recommend is updated furniture. I would only put individual chairs in the domes. the benches weren't meant for two adults and I feel it would be better if all the seating was individual. The carpet in the dome needs to be updated and in a circle shape so you aren't tripping over the overlap of carpet the entire time.

    For the Dome Diners, I would highly recommend the experience. We chose to dine on 6 of the appetizers, and they were all very good. By making that choice, it is a bit of a stretch to make the dollar minimum requirement. But it is more than made up for in the great riverfront location. I commend the staff on their great service. We had a special needs diner, and they made sure they were escorted safely. The only negative note I could make is that it was a bit of a turn off to enter the dome with a filthy carpet. Of course, this is a recourse of the environment, and did not in any way take away from the grand time that was had by our group. You should do it at least once! Highly recommend.

    My sister and I finally got to experience the domes. They were nice, warm, cozy, had games to play and a speaker to connect your phone to play music. We got a complimentary glass of champagne, the server was nice, the food was delicious and was made quickly. During our visit we had an unfortunate incident occur, at no fault to the restaurant, but it was handled very professionally. Thank you for the experience and kind gesture.

    I had a lovely experience. The view is nice, the size of the dome is specious. The service is great, and fast. The waiter was courteous and made sure we had Everything. I recommend this experience.

    We had lots of fun. Our waiter just took forever to check on us. We only had the dome for 2.5 hours and we wasted 45 minutes just waiting for a second round of drinks. We called him over several times and he just kept telling us he’d be back. We made the best of it.

    I had always wanted to eat in the dome and the ambiance was awesome but the food was just ok. The portions were small, we had the cheese sampler, they only put 4 pieces of bread for 2 people. Then was a panini and lobster Mac and cheese, although it was good we had to order more bc we were still hungry. There is a minimum amount you must order, like $175 ... but I figured I’m paying for the experience 🤷🏻‍♂️

    What an incredible experience! It's definitely something that you should try at least once. The food was incredible. We were given a bluetooth speaker so we could listen to music in our dome. Enzo, our server, was AWESOME.

    Well service was great and it’s really fun experience but the only thing was ruined it was our tent was broken. So all the time we were there we were freezing. They were like we are sorry 😐 !! I suggest if you do planning to go make sure to bundle up just in case!!

    Disappointing experience. This is second year I’ve done the Domes. This year was lacking! And the Domes are expensive. The door leaked. The waiter was barely ever there. The food was okay and not much on platter. Very disappointed.

    I've been here in the summer and it's a lot of fun, but there was something even more spectacular about the dome. With two heaters, it was very comfortable inside. There were games and blankets...everything you needed for a cozy night in out on the town. It is definitely worth stalking the availability!

    My husband and I have talked about wanting to dine here since last winter. We were excited to find availability and took off work for this date day. We received a warm welcome at the bar and the dome was cute and cozy. Our server was great and the drinks were delicious. Unfortunately, the food was underwhelming for the cost and the disappointment actually took away from the experience. It would be nice for new and more menu options. While we don’t plan to go back, we have told others to give it a try...but beware of the food.

    Very over priced and overreacted. Weak customer service with very few options to chosen from on the menu. Not worth it at all. Heated fuse kept blowing and was told to keep it as low as possible food was cold and it looked like a use motel. Game piece were everywhere trash on the floor and not enough room on the table for a Party of 5. They say everything was booked and no1 was there. Like it’s a way to make sales. It’s sucks

    I was disappointed with the food, also it was not clear that the 25 non-refundable deposit did not go towards the bill. Just for clarification you should say there is a “dome fee”. Likely will not come here again.

    I'd been wanting to go here for years and was so excited when I finally scored a reservation. Upon arriving, we weren't really greeted. We had to go up to the bar area and kinda bud in on a conversation they were having with one another saying we're here for our reservation. The guy at the bar then says to the waiter "we have another reservation here." Thankfully the waiter was nice and went ahead and sat us since we were a little early. We made the reservation for two people - just my husband and I. We got our own igloo! The eclectic furniture, fun card games, and blankets were a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. You get a fun view although nothing of the river itself because there is a short wood wall in front of you. Unfortunately, only one heater in our igloo worked, so my we had to share that and it was pretty cold (in the 30s). They said they would replace it with one that worked but never did. One of the string lights in our igloo was out also. We mentioned we wanted one appetizer and the rest as our meal. It all came out at once which left us needing to eat our meals before the appetizer because we didn't want them to get cold. The waiter was the only one waiting on 5 igloos so he was not able to be super attentive or fast with any requests. My husband got a whisky flight and he said he couldn't pick, that it would be bar tenders choice. He came back but then never told us which whiskys they actually were. He went to ask but never returned with the answer. The burrata and duck confit pasta was amazing! The steak was good but they said they aren't allowed to cook it any other way than well done, which make the meat incredibly tough. You lose all the flavor. So my husband didn't enjoy his meal. Also there is a $25 per person fee that we did not realize did NOT go toward the meal. It was in addition and that was never made clear by OpenTable or the waiter who said we had to meet an $85/person minimum (not true) - $60 minimum.

    Such a lovely treat! Was going to do an engagement here but my SO thought the domes would be claustrophobic and refused to go (ruining the surprise), so instead I went with my mother and it was just as beautiful as I’d hoped it would be! The food and cocktails were amazing and our server was so sweet.

    Great experience in the dome and with out server. Perfect for a lunch or relaxing evening. The best item are appetizers so if you’re in on snacking and drinking this is perfect. If you’re looking for dinner, it may not be the best option.

    Wish the plastic on the domes was not so ‘cloudy’ The lighting was too harsh, the furniture should be more comfy and it would be nice to have music in the domes or a blue tooth speaker to play music. It was fun and enjoyable but could be a better experience for the cost
