We had a great Team outing in the Domes on the Riverwalk. It was a little colder than we had hoped, but, overall didnt stop us from having a great time.

We reserved a heated dome for 8. It was really fun! Our dome kept blowing a fuse and the lights and heater would go out. It got a little chilly in the there at times. HOWEVER, our server was great and was doing everything to remedy the situation. They also have blankets and socks in the dome. My only other issues was the seating only accommodated 7 adults. We asked for another chair and they brought a small metal chair. Nothing with a cushion which was sort of annoying for what you pay. City Winery did give us a discount for the issues which was appreciated! We all loved the burrata app, Brussels sprouts, the pork chop and the fish entree. The s’mores dessert was disappointing and not worth getting. City Winery - you need to do a better dessert! All in all it was a really fun night, great service and just a great alternative dining experience!

There’s no experience. For the price you think the experience would have been a little elevated. Our waiter was nice.

I can't say I was impressed with anything that was offered, the entrees were less than impressive for the options that are available from other places on the riverwalk. The best part was honestly being able to be downtown and have an intimate setting with your group.

I would not recommend this place. To expensive for this place. Food not good. Pork chops value is 21.00 and they look and taste a plate of pork shop you buy in fast food place. Pretty much is 85.00 per person and place is dirty. Server tennis shoes were filthy dirty. Presentation not high quality for 85.00 per person. Food not good.

BEWARE! DO NOT BOOK FOR LAST OPENING (7 PM)... especially on a Sunday! Waited over 20 min for first bottle of wine ($200+), only one server for the 7 domes on the deck, server was told to ask us to place all final food orders with our main meal with 90+ minutes left of our reservation because, “the manager wanted to close the kitchen”. Blue tooth speaker provided battery was dead and took almost half hour for another. Host said ‘socks are provided for you to get comfortable’ and pointed at basket when seating us... THEY WERE WORN DIRTY SOCKS!!! Food runner failed to describe cheese and charcuterie platter pairings, when server came in 30 min later, he was irritated the chef pairing suggestions and descriptions of selections were not shared, but took him 30 minutes to even check back up on us...We were provided paper plates instead of real plates that were provided in my previous experience. Had I not already experienced the domes 4 days earlier with another group and known how the experience ‘SHOULD HAVE BEEN’, I wouldn’t have even know what to expect. This experience was ridiculously disappointing. It was booked for a special occasion only after my experience 4 days earlier, and to say it was unacceptable would be an understatement! We invested a lot of $ for an extremely disappointing experience!!!

The food was not good at all, also they offer VERY limited options because it is not the full restaurant. You have to order a million things just to hit the 60$ food and drink minimum and it’s very unfortunate that everything food wise you’ll order won’t be good. Biggest waist of money there is, please save yourself the trouble and just go to a nice steak house or something.

Our server had an attitude from the very beginning and that definitely had an impact on our experience. Everyone else that brought us drinks, food, bar serves, were great but not the main waiter. That, and our dome was freezing! I had 3 blankets on me and my down jacket. We asked for a new heater and apparently they don’t have any extra. Our waiter let us know that our heater was a problem though. We were told they are usually so warm in there people are too hot. Such a disappointment.

My friends and I went here for my birthday and had a wonderful time! They provide you with a bluetooth speaker so you can hook up your own music, there's games if conversation isn't enough for you, and the twinkle lights set a great ambiance! The food was lovely - we had the butters and salts, burrata, pasta di mare, grilled cheese, the night cap and macarons. (We should have gone with the turkey panini rather than the grilled cheese in hindsight; that's what our waitress had recommended but we didn't listen.) It's definitely a unique experience and I'm glad we did it, even though it's a little pricey!

Don’t go to City Winery on the river walk expecting good food or great wine. It’s all about the location with the fun river traffic and city feel. We reserved an igloo/table and enjoyed our time but the fee and minimum are quite high given the food and wine options.

We were fortunate to be able to have a group dinner in one of the domes that overlooks the Chicago River. It was one of the first warm nights of spring and everybody was out---however we were quietly ensconced in our dome enjoying sous-vide steak and wine enjoying wonderful conversation. Highly recommend for special group gatherings!

The service was exceptional- attentive and so friendly. The environment was nice and clean. They provided a bluetooth speaker to plug in your music and games to make for a fun night. Our heater kept turning off every 5 mins or so and then we'd have to wait 5 mins before being able to turn it back on. It was a chilly night so it became pretty uncomfortable. The 2.5 hour reservation is nice and makes you feel relaxed and not rushed. The food is very underwhelming. Main course options: one seafood dish, a few salads, and sandwiches. at $85 per person, I was hoping for a complete dining experience. Fun to try, but I won't be back.

We reserved a Dome for a leisurely lunch and day drinking. Our waiter Alex and assistant "Sharky" had a great sense of humor and were very attentive. Their food suggestions were fantastic! We didn't expect to spend the full 2 1/2 hrs. but it was relaxing and delicious, with a great city and river view, so time slipped away. The food was fresh and excellent!!! I highly recommend the dome experience.

We booked a dome, and had a blast! It was cold outside, but the inside of the dome was toasty warm. There were blankets if needed, but we had our coats off inside and felt comfortable. Our service was awesome -our server checked in frequently but not an overwhelming amount. They had a speaker that we were able to hook up to our phone and play our own music. The food was one step above bar food - good, but certainly not a big meal. Wine and drinks were very good - we were welcomed with a complimentary champagne toast. I would highly recommend a dome experience if you are looking for something unique and fun.

So fun for a bachelorette party brunch/lunch/day drinking. Everyone was in from out of town and we wanted to do something with a cool Chicago vibe for the afternoon, but it was the beginning of April and we didn't want to freeze. (River/lake cruise when it's 33 degrees? No thanks.) The igloos are right on the riverfront, heated, awesome food + fun cocktails, really cute decor, flawless service, super Instagrammable ;) A highlight of our weekend for sure.
