Can’t fault the food but we were reminded 3 times (the first time at least 20 minutes before we had to “give up” our table) that we could only have the table for 1.5 hrs. We were then asked if we could move to a different table for our dessert as the next customers were “on their way”. Perhaps my mistake thinking we had 2 hours for dinner. When spending this much money to enjoy a birthday celebration which is supposed to be a special treat it was spoiled by being shoo’d from the table after an hour and a half. I’ve had lunch several times and this was my first dinner. But I shall sadly not be returning despite the fact that the food was wonderful.

Nicely decorated restaurant with a nice view. Being Michelin starred expected a little more from the food and service. Half the time we had no idea what we were eating. Not a terrible experience but just not worth the money in my opinion. Wouldn’t recommend

Well. Here’s s thing. Superb gourmatious. Exquisite. Exciting. Memorable. Scenic. Actually. I did feel as if I’d eaten a full meal which doesn’t happen often in these Reston’s 😳❤️

Our table was reserved for 8:30. We were finally given a table at 9:10. The waiter threw our cutlery on the table without any real welcome. We got water, my guests water was spilt all over the table and not cleared up. I took the vegan menu. We both had a beetroot starter, my guests had goats cheese in but they looked the same. We both took a scoop of our starter and the waiter rushed over and took the plates away as they had mixed up our dishes. They apologised but I was surprised this happened. My guests empty glass from the drink in the bar was never taken from our table. Our glasses were not topped up except for my guests just after he said he didn't want more wine. He was not asked and the waiter rushed over and topped it up so quickly and without being ask he didn't have a chance to say he didn't want more. We looked at each other and laughed at the irony afterwards. When the waiter brought the dessert menus, he had forgotten that i was on the vegan menu. We ordered a green tea for me and fresh mint for my guest. We both got mint. We were just going to drink it to save a fuss, but chance my guest looked in the tea pot. There were tea bags. We asked the waiter, he didn't seem to understand that he hadn't served fresh mint. After several attempts to get someone's attention the issue was resolved but we had two pots of tea and three cups of tea on the table before this. We went to the toilet before we left, there were no hand towels. We went to collect our coat and bags which were on one ticket. We had to remind the that we had two bags. Such a shame, really nice food but the service was laughable. Over £150 for a starter and main each with half a bottle of wine and a water (the took the tea off of the bill). Great venue but I won't be going back due to the service.

Thanks to lovely work colleagues for a voucher to spend at Jasons restaurants - I got to tick City Social off the list of places I have always wanted to go. It did not disappoint. Went with my husband on a Thursday lunch time so it was quiet apart from some business lunches happening around us. It met.... probably exceeded all of my expectations. The staff were delightful - really friendly and welcoming but most importantly the food was outstanding. Prepared and presented beautifully. Worth every penny. The wine list was exceptional and the sommelier team were on hand to make suggestions that tasted good and were reasonably priced. Starters of scallops and lobster tortellini followed by hake and saddle of pork. So good! We overlooked desert and went for cheese after. Opportunity to drink more of the red wine. Great views and a lovely setting! Go!!

Went at 1:30pm so missed the main lunch numbers so relatively quiet and we had the advantage of a table by the window with great views. Food was outstanding, flavours and presentation were really good and we both greatly enjoyed the food. However, I fail to see how a 90 page wine list helps customers. The wine prices were very high which took the edge off the whole experience. I realise this is in the dead centre of the City but we're not all on expense accounts nor able to discern good value from the 90 page wine list. A small glass of wine from £16 isn't necessary. Nevertheless, good food.

I took my boyfriend for his 30th birthday. I have been to City Social before a couple of times but the team managed to make this evening extra special: We had a table with a wonderful view on the Shard and the Gherkin, the most attentive service and the photo and card was such a sweet gift.
