The food had just the right balance and was truly delicious. Not a single dish disappointed. The chairs were a bit uncomfortable, and the food took a bit longer, but the service and atmosphere were absolutely perfect.

Our server, Carolina, was awesome. Fine food and presentation, as well as great service. One of the best seared foie gras we’ve had, and this includes our many French trips.

Bar staff and cocktails were amazing. Recommend sitting in bar area rather than dining. Dining staff was not pleasurable. Dining area was very compact and uncomfortable, not very impressed with the food either. Definitely not a place to celebrate your anniversary. Would not recommend other than for a drink.

This has to be the best restaurant within a 50 mile radius of itself. If you were looking for fine dining, I’d send you here. Everyone there is great people, and they love to see you happy with your meal! 10/10, will go again!

Menu at the restaurant did not match the menu online. Highly disappointing. Went specifically for the Magret de Canard and they no longer have it. Please just update your website. The server didn’t know how to pronounce half of the dishes. It was strangely loud in both the bar and the restaurant. The bartender didn’t have much personality. Overall just a disappointing experience after we were so excited to go.

Would have given a 4.5 star, but alas no option for that. The salad was lacking dressing. We were not checked on in a bit so we didn't get it rectified. Otherwise 5 stars.

We have been patrons for many years. The last few meals have not been on par with our expectations. Fortunately, James (who normally is our server) has more than made up for the meal. Tonight our experience was so disappointing that it will most likely be our last meal at Circa. It is our 28th wedding anniversary (noted on open table). Our son was home from university and both of our children were in attendance. James was not working and our server seemed very new. Our anniversary was not mentioned. I requested that our appetizers be boxed our server discarded them). The food was cold and over salted. This is only a few of my comments regarding the food and service. I would be happy to speak directly with anyone in management. Our experience did not seem to be unique. Other tables were discussing similar issues.

The food always is good at Circa. We've been there many times and always enjoy it. My ratatouille wasn't perfect, but that was the only mediocre spot. We all were sharing our meals and enjoyed the tastes all around. Also, the desserts were delicious. On the service side, if you can sit in Emily's area, do it. She's a real pro. She was knowledgeable and made good recommendations. She also is just nice and fun to chat with. A real asset to Circa 1875!

We made reservations almost a month ago for our 15th wedding anniversary. When we arrived, there were only 2 other tables seated. We were seated at the table next to the front door and hostess stand. We explained to Janet, the hostess, that it was a special anniversary dinner and we would prefer a table away from the door. She would not move us. So every time the front door opened we were interrupted with cold air and conversation of those entering the restaurant. Our food was okay, but based on our experiences at 3 other restaurants in Savannah, we certainly would NOT return to Circa 1875. When we made our reservation, they asked if we were celebrating anything special. So they knew it was our anniversary and never even acknowledged it. It wasn’t at all the experience we had hoped it would be. However, the bar drinks were excellent. We highly recommend the Sherpa and Deja Vu.

Amazing service, food and atmosphere. Emily was wonderful. We have the steak frites, Cornish hen and soup de jour, which was a lovely butternut squash bisque. The downstairs has such a cozy, wine cellar feel. Highly recommend!

Loved the decor, it is a white linen French restaurant, however brown paper covers are used. It is just incongruent with the overall presentation. Food was ok, the appetizers were a bit disappointing. Ordered beet Tatar, it came on dauphinois potato, with unfortunately way too many capers and small pickels. Just not for me. My date had the foie gras, not cooked enough and very oily. Mains were much better the steak was correct, temperature, bernaise sauce very good. The cut meat of could have been a bit better some tough gristle but all in all good. The other mains was cornish hen very nice presentation, perfectly cooked. Very good. Mentioned that the menu is new maybe some kinks to yet to work out. We will try again love the ambiance, hopefully they will loose the brown paper table covers.

Phenomenal meal and service. We took our time and were not rushed. Waiter paired the perfect wines with our meals. The best braised short rib I’ve ever had.

Great cafe & staff. The Cornish hen entree with potatoes and stuffing was way too salty! The pork tenderloin entree was excellent. Please use less salt!

The Steak Tartare was great. Everything else seemed either under done or overdone. The Duck Confit was really tough. The Cioppino was so salty it was hard to eat and the broth was devoid of much flavor. Very lovely atmosphere. Great service. Would come back for a drink but not the food. Especially for the price!

It is a fun place, colorful and lots to look at. The service is great and while the food was tasty, it was not plentiful nor what I would call great French food. Prices are high for what you get.

The French bistro atmosphere is excellent and authentic. The wait staff is friendly and professional. Menu items are authentically French. Scallops and escargot were excellent. The cassoulet with duck confit was too salty to eat.

Our server, Emily was the best! She was casual, warm and professional. The atmosphere is intimate and cozy but with a nice light feel. Great spot for a romantic dinner or with friends and the profiterols are spot on!

Went for our anniversary. Excellent! We started with the beet salad (her) & the french onion soup (me). Both were some of the best we've had. The mains were duck & steak frites. Absolutely, no complaints. They threw in a complimentary creme broulee pre-dessert before the chocolate mousse layer cake came out. Both were outstanding. It is a little pricey but don't let it stop you from going. It is well worth it.

Very disappointing experience. The onion soup was okay, the steak frites was mostly raw (we requested med rare) and tuff. The cassoulet was mostly peas and had very little flavor. Perhaps it was an off night and they did take the price off the streak. Bottom line it was overpriced and not worth it with so many great restaurants in Savannah.

This experience started extremely good but unfortunately as the night progressed and the restaurant started to fill up service and food started lacking. We ordered almost all the appetizers Some were extremely good and some not so much. The escargot was so garlicky that is all you tasted. We never received a order of truffle fries or French onion soup. Blood orange crème brûlée unfortunately was curdled. When talked to manager and explained what happened her answer was ( oh..we have those items..) would have expected another answer. As restaurant is extremely short staffed had to wait 15 minutes for our dessert spoon while that happened the other table next to us received their appetizers before even getting waters. Just a suggestion if you guys are sooo short staffed please don’t be greedy and fill the restaurant up and ruin what can potentially be an amazing experience. Quality over quantity. Very disappointed and left unsatisfied.

The main entrees were excellent but the onion soup needed salt. I don’t like to add salt because I like it cooked into the broth. The bread needed something also but I don’t know what was missing.

Could be our most favorite restaurant in Savannah!! James, our server, was nothing short of fantastic!! Our appetizers were perfection! The escargot and steak tartar were the best!! The night’s special of halibut was perfectly cooked - moist and tasty!! And chocolate crème brûlée was heaven! We will come back just for dinner here time and again!! Gotta love Savannah!

First time since covid. Menu not as good- seems to be fewer choices. Waitress was overworked and service was not what i expected. Also they no longer do the absinthe service mentioned in their online menu. Would not recommend the on tap espresso martini
