Very good ambiance, attentive service, very good food although some options weren’t all that; like I would skip crepe suzette next time. Quality food and presentation but was a bit too sweet. Meals and appetizers were very good though
Say in the bar area for dinner. Very enjoyable and easy to have a conversation. Potato leek soup with crab was delicious! Cassoulet Masion was another treat. We will definitely return
Waitress was a bit sour at first but warmed up. Food was excellent.
Great knowledgeable waiter- great atmosphere- fantastic food and drink
We went to Circa 1975 for our 44th Anniversary. The minute we entered we loved the ambience! Small, quaint & authentic French charm.
We started off with Champagne & their delicious fresh bread basket! Bread was amazing & brought back very fond memories of France! For staters I had the French Onion soup, & my husband grilled Foir Gras & said it was delicious! Entree I had seared Duck with mashed potatoes, Duck was great although I would of preferred the skin crispier but it was delicious. My husband had Ribeye & was very pleased! We will definitely be back on our next trip to Savannah
This is a French restaurant for someone who knows nothing about French food or France. It’s a poor imitation of the real thing. The decor consists of an assortment of early 20th century posters which I guess are meant to make you feel like you’re in France but instead only reinforce the fact that you are not. The same can be said of the food. The less said about that the better. The only saving grace was the service. Although it was a little haphazard at times, it was genuinely congenial and helpful.
Loved our experience, food was amazing very romantic the perfect date night.
Was not as good as it has been in the past. Have eaten here many times and had excellent food and service. The food was okay but not up to the standards I remember. The service was quite indifferent-in the past I have had wonderful service even though I was a woman dining alone.
Fine food, good service, lovely French ambiance. Great place for a romantic dinner.
Excellent service, ambiance service. Food was top notch. Well worth every penny. Food of the highest quality for the most reasonable price!
Food, atmosphere, and service were all outstanding. Highly recommend the cassoulet and the tartare!!
I love this place. It’s one of my “go to” restaurants in Savannah. My wife and I usually go there on our anniversary and it’s always a great date night place if you love French food. Santi is a great bartender and we are always treated like family. Definitely recommend Circa 1875
Just a place I got the feeling we I sat at the bar, knew we should have left. Looked over at next persons plate and told it was Coquille Saint Jacques. Knew then my husband said let’s try. Terrible mistake I never knew was chewy but never thought it could be so over cooked you literally could not chew. Such a waste of monet😩
Great cocktails and extensive wine by the glass at fair prices. Classic and delicious French bistro fare. Always get the frisée salad and steak frites and it’s always terrific.
Looked forward to another evening at this restaurant. Service was outstanding but chicken was dry. The desert made up for it and was tasty.
Will be back tho as I ave enjoyed this place in spite of the mediocre meal. Partner was very pleased with the tuna and our wine selection was great.
Another try ahead
Really fantastic food with perfect service. I was going to order the seabass , but ended up getting the trout and it was amazing. Our friends had the scallops and they were yummy as well nightly recommend!
My experience is nothing less than amazing! We love the atmosphere, food and service!
Great food and service.
Not being very familiar with french cuisine and not being familiar at all with the french language our server Betty was extremely helpful answering all of our questions in a professional way.
My dinner here was outstanding! My waitress, Betty, was absolutely amazing! Great food, great service, and just a wonderful dining experience. Highly recommend!
We love this restaurant, but I was disappointed when my wife told me her pork chop was too salty. The gravy was over salted and ruined her meal.
I absolutely love going to a nice restaurant where you are warmly welcomed and the waitstaff is professional, but still friendly. It makes the whole dining experience more enjoyable. The staff at Circa 1875 made it one of my all time favorite restaurants. The ambiance is also perfect both in the bar and the dining room. We were early so sat at the bar for almost an hour enjoying specialty cocktails before our dinner reservation.
Dinner was delicious! We shared an order of escargot, I had the trout, and my boyfriend had the duck breast. We had planned to save room for dessert, but the meal was too good!
Next time I’m in Savannah, Circa 1875 is definitely on my list!
We were seated at a very cozy table in the cellar. Waitress (Emily I think) was terrific. Food was also excellent.
Fabulous cocktails and ambiance! The bar is a must visit before dinner. Exceptional service.
Loved this place. Our waitress was amazing, the restaurant was very cool. We sat in the basement which was so romantic. The food was really good for our anniversary. We will return!
Very happening, exciting place to be. Great wait staff-personable, funny and helpful!
Food and experience was absolutely perfect. Waiter was knowledgeable on gluten free options, luckily the night was slow and the chef made a gluten free citrus and cognac sauce for the duck breast that was absolutely wonderful. 10/10 would recommend
I picked Circa 1875 based on reviews in TripAdvisor and in OpenTable. I was not disappointed. I would call the ambience "funky French". I loved it! From the edgy menu cover to the art on the walls - everything was enjoyable. My wife had the cobia and I had duck breast. Both were delicious. Intimate and fun.
Food is consistently good as well as the service. Nice Parisian decor.
Everything was perfect.Food, drink, atmosphere but especially Emily who is absolutely the best.
Thanks for a great evening as I celebrated my 67th birthday
The best French restaurant I've been to in the U.S.
A great French bistro. Outstanding food, service & ambiance. Very highly recommended.
My entree was great. I had the trout and it was cooked perfectly. The wine list had lots of options. The ambiance was beautiful (we sat in the basement). The server was very nice but it took forever for her to come back to take our order. Didn't feel warm and fuzzy about that.
Great food ambience and service
Absolutely delicious frissee & lardons salad followed by entrecote (steak) frites, cooked perfectly to medium, paired with a glass of champagne and a fantastic Chardonnay from CA. Good service. Great selection of wine by the glass and bottle. Dinner was superb and i would eat there again without doubt.
Great experience. Restaraunt was bustling with activity but our table was in a quiet corner and our waiter and others checked on us continually to make sure we were ok. The food came promptly and we were very happy with everything.
I ordered scallops in a mornay sauce on a casserole. baked with a bread crumb topping. It was so salty o couldn't eat it. Pulled out the two scallops and ate them. Asparagus on side also very salty. I was very disappointed
The dinner was fantastic! Our service was wonderful and our waitress was so helpful when we asked more questions about the menu. Be sure to go into the bar and have a drink before you are seated of dinner. The bar area is so quaint and the bartenders were very experienced and helped us pick out just the perfect the glass of wine. We loved it!!! We will definitely come back here the next time we’re in Savannah! Don’t miss it when you’re there!
