We always enjoy eating there, great food and service. Always well taken care of by the staff.
Great atmosphere. Food was awesome.
Servers are personable and knowledgeable.
Service was above and beyond, the staff was a amazing. The food was outstanding as well.
Scott is terrific, very attentive. Food was wonderful.
Friday nights at ciao or a wonderful place hi energy great group of people. We had the halibut it was the best fish I’ve ever had in Cape Girardeau prepared perfectly with a lot of flavor
Food fresh. Varied menu. Not run-of-mill. Lobster Mac & cheese and pork chop very good. Service attentive but not intrusive.
Again and again Ciao never disappoints! The staff are wonderful and the food is top notch. A Cape Girardeau staple-you must eat here.
We had a great experience at Ciao. Our waitress did a great job. A piano was playing! The food was very good (particularly the entrees. The desert was above average. Overall, we had a very enjoyable evening!
Great personal service and high quality food
Ambiance wonderful
Food was fantastic. Service was quick and yet relaxed. Everyone seemed to enjoy their job
Ciao is a small, intimate restaurant that features an eclectic variety of menu items and a very comprehensive wine list. The service is very attentive without being intrusive. It can, however, get a bit noisy on a busy night, but we prefer that to someplace that seems dead. It's not cheap, although there are some popularly priced entrees. The filet I had was done to perfection. We go there quite often and have always enjoyed the experience.
Excellent food and service. Will be going back often in the future.
Outstanding food time and time again. Service was excellent.
Loved the stuffed mushrooms!! Everything we ordered was very tasty, especially the pistachio pasta!!
The food was delicious, the wait staff friendly, the restaurant is quaint but, beautiful. It was a little loud but, we were seated right by the piano.
Great Valentine’s specials with food and drinks!
Outstanding food, great service and very covid safe.
As always, it was a great evening. Service was excellent and so was the food. Great wine list. Looking forward to next time
Everything was great but the food was subpar. The risotto had no seasoning and was undercoooked. My steak was so salty I couldn’t finish it.
Scott and the rest of the service team treated us really well! The food was great on top of it all.
Best place to eat service outstanding people are wonderful
Wonderful as always! The Food + Staff + Ambiance are top notch.
I love this place. Their food is so good! I’ve had most everything on their menu and you can’t go wrong. Plus, they put up these clear plexiglass partitions around the tables. It’s for Covid but it makes it seem more intimate and looks nice. Great wi e list and service. Super happy they opened back up!
Great server. Food was delicious and we enjoyed our evening.
I'd give more than 5 stars if that we am option. Everything was great and the service was spectacular!
My wife and I frequent Ciao. It’s our favorite spot in town. The cocktails and wine list are impeccable. Additionally, the menu is anchored by Italian classics but also features delightful modern offerings. All the above are executed with refreshing quality.
Favorites: the pear salad, roasted Brussels sprouts, the Italian chicken crepes, Chilean sea bass, and the Crossbarn Pinot noir.
Superb service and wonderful food! It was a great experience as always!
Always an enjoyable experience...Great food, service, and enjoyable music with their new player piano. We had the charcuterie as a starter, always an excellent choice. And had the spaghetti as an entree (always on point). Great wines by the glass, as well. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time and the food was great !!
It was very intimate while also a nice social setting. Amazing crab cakes!!!
So the restaurant just reopened after the Covid they have a new chef our meal was terrific the ambience is great and it’s got a great vibe
Very good. Food was excellent. Service was great. A little pricey to go there very often but is great for special occasions.
Our table was ready when we arrived. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The chicken crepes and the veal were delicious. And the experience was just what we needed after a fractious week.
We've eaten at Ciao three or four times as we pass through Cape Girardeau on our way from Austin, TX to Illinois. We're never disappointed. Food, wine, drinks and service are always excellent. Nice menu with lots of different choiecs but everything we've had has been exceptional.
Great venue for dinner and live entertainment. Always excellent food and top notch service.
Tiny tables on top of each other. No drinks other than alcohol and water. Bread was flavorless and steak was recooked twice and still wasn’t cooked right.
Unfortunately terrible! Our table for 2 was extremely small. Almost had to remove all glasses, etc to make our food fit. My view was the front door. Terrible! Singing was awful. Food didn’t taste fresh. I hate leaving a bad review but we won’t be back.

We had dinner here for our 4th anniversary and it was lovely. Our server was very kind and the food was amazing. We even got a free dessert because it was our anniversary. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it.
The food and service are excellent and the portions generous. Marked down for ambiance for the building location, not the interior, which is very comfortable. Noise level is moderate, not raucous and one can have a conversation. Once you're inside, you don't realize you're near busy Kingshighway Blvd.
We went early on a weeknight when it wasn't busy. Our server was attentive and described menu items and specials. The server was helpful with suggestions without being pushy. The pear/walnut salad was sizable and tasty. The soup of the day -- tortellini in a creamy tomato base -- was also delicious. Our entrees -- scallops and fettucine alfredo -- were generous and filling. Two of the four large scallops went home for the next evening's meal. The serving of fettucine did not look that big on the plate, but it was filling. I have noticed this with pasta served at higher-end restaurants: looks can be deceiving. We topped off our dinner with a dessert of lemony cakes and went home full and planning to return.
