Ciao Ristorante + Enoteca
Very good. Food was excellent. Service was great. A little pricey to go there very often but is great for special occasions.
Our table was ready when we arrived. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The chicken crepes and the veal were delicious. And the experience was just what we needed after a fractious week.
We've eaten at Ciao three or four times as we pass through Cape Girardeau on our way from Austin, TX to Illinois. We're never disappointed. Food, wine, drinks and service are always excellent. Nice menu with lots of different choiecs but everything we've had has been exceptional.
Great venue for dinner and live entertainment. Always excellent food and top notch service.
Tiny tables on top of each other. No drinks other than alcohol and water. Bread was flavorless and steak was recooked twice and still wasn’t cooked right.
Unfortunately terrible! Our table for 2 was extremely small. Almost had to remove all glasses, etc to make our food fit. My view was the front door. Terrible! Singing was awful. Food didn’t taste fresh. I hate leaving a bad review but we won’t be back.

We had dinner here for our 4th anniversary and it was lovely. Our server was very kind and the food was amazing. We even got a free dessert because it was our anniversary. We absolutely loved it and would highly recommend it.
The food and service are excellent and the portions generous. Marked down for ambiance for the building location, not the interior, which is very comfortable. Noise level is moderate, not raucous and one can have a conversation. Once you're inside, you don't realize you're near busy Kingshighway Blvd.
We went early on a weeknight when it wasn't busy. Our server was attentive and described menu items and specials. The server was helpful with suggestions without being pushy. The pear/walnut salad was sizable and tasty. The soup of the day -- tortellini in a creamy tomato base -- was also delicious. Our entrees -- scallops and fettucine alfredo -- were generous and filling. Two of the four large scallops went home for the next evening's meal. The serving of fettucine did not look that big on the plate, but it was filling. I have noticed this with pasta served at higher-end restaurants: looks can be deceiving. We topped off our dinner with a dessert of lemony cakes and went home full and planning to return.
Great after Christmas dinner with our son.
I traveled for 27 years during my business career and have eaten in who knows ow many restaurants, but I will say the filet I had a Ciao was absolutely the best I've ever been served. It is a cliche to say it was like butter (it wasn't--nobody would actually want that), but it was absolutely perfect--and I ordered it rare. My wife had what the restaurant calls seafood ravioli, which came with scallops and shrimp, and it was excellent as well. When we entertain out-of-town guests, Ciao is one of out go-to spots.
Nice time. Good wine. Great food. Good service.
My food was great, meatball app and chicken crepes. The chicken crepes were savory and delicious. My husband’s food was meh. Cannelini bean dip with mixed olives, except there were only 2 olives. The description was misleading. It tasted fine. His chicken Marsala was good, but the vegetables with it were just short of raw and inedible. I know the Marsala was the star of the plate, but don’t include superfluous veg if it isn’t tasty and edible.
Our seating was not optimal, but perhaps that was due to a last minute reservation on a Friday night.
We would return and hope to have better seating.
Always great service, food & atmosphere!
Always great service and food!
Food was very good. All of our party had a seafood entree. Shrimp pasta dishes and scallops. Stuffed mushrooms very good for appetizer and desserts were excellent.
Great food and service
All around excellent experience. Staff are friendly and highly competent.
Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic service. The pork chop is very VERY good.
Amazing, we get the same waitress every time and she is very good to us.
Always a pleasant experience, love the staff, especially Leah, Scott & Tyler. They are friendly, efficient and go above and beyond. I truly appreciate gluten free options that are also delicious. Great food and drinks.
Ciao is our go to spot for any occasion.
Shrimp fra diavolo was not spicy and lacked any noticeable seasoning. My wife’s seafood ravioli was delicious. Linguine noodles in the the diavolo were cooked perfectly
Everything about Ciao was first rate. Except my friend and I were initially seated next to a very raucous table of 6, so our waiter (Scott) graciously moved us to a more sedate section. His service was exceptional - very solicitous and informative. And the food (spaghetti bolognese for me, chicken parmigiana for her) was beautifully presented and just as edible.
Since this was a Wednesday night, live music was also on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed an acoustic set by Wayne Givens, he and his guitar. It added to the ambiance.
Love the live music
Wonderful food in an excellent atmosphere. Great wine list
Steak was the worst I’ve ever had. Poor quality meat cooked in a pan, not a grill. The wife’s scallops were extremely gritty. Drinks and ambiance were good, food not so much.
Was much better than the last visit I had. Enjoyed !
Drinks were wonderful, service okay, but food was under seasoned. We had to ask for salt. I usually do not need this. I changed what I usually get and was disappointed with it.
Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. We love the live music.
Great food, excellent service and we enjoyed the music. We’ll return!
Had a wonderfully authentic meal with great service !
Always love our time at Ciao! We appreciate all they have to offer. From the always flavorful food to the ambiance and friendly but professional service, we usually don't let a month go by without retuning.
Great dinner and cocktails!
We took a family member out for her birthday. We had a wonderful experience. The staff was exceptional. The food was wonderful. We would highly recommend this place.
In the area for a conference. We were looking for a nice place for dinner and found this gem! Excellent service, food was fantastic! Great atmosphere!
It was great!
Our very favorite restaurant!! Always consistently good. Love their menu selections!
Food is outstanding and most of the time the servers are very experienced. On our recent visit, the service staff was not as experienced but the food and atmosphere were as awesome as they always were. I will definitely go back (multiple times) but I recommend a little more training with the younger staff. It may help for them to see it from the customer's point of view and see how the placement of dishes in front of customers, instead of at the edge of the table (which requires customers to reach and move the food into the right spot) really makes a difference on the experience and hence on their tip. Thanks for having such an awesome restaurant here in Cape!
I forget how delicious the food here really is! The special, risotto colorato, which I believe the server, Bobby, said means colorful risotto, was wonderful. Our table of 6 enjoyed the monkey bread, calamari, various salads, both specials, and some “tried and true” dishes! EXCELLENT!
