A Minneapolis metro favorite, Ciao Bella was opened in 1997 by Minneapolis restaurateur Rick Webb, whose pursuits have set the standard in Twin Cities dining for over 40 years. Heading downtown? Ciao Bella had a table for us on short notice. It was not a problem to request outdoor seating. Staff were all kind and competent. We learned how salmon should be cooked and it was perfection.
This will be our go to option next time we visit the twin cities.
I love bringing clients from all over the country to Ciao Bella. From the moment we walk in the door and are cheerfully greeted, seated and treated like we are VIP's to the last bite of a flawlessly executed meal, we always leave wanting to come back for more. Thanks for the consistent excellence.
We arrived to a beautiful decor. Our daughter had been here with coworkers as well as a good friend of ours who highly recommended. I typically get whatever light flaky fish is on the menu. It’s always nice to have a unique take on it as it was served on top miso and plain mashed potatoes. Very good. My husband has often ordered lasagna whenever we go out. We both thought this was one of the best tasting ever! I am a chef. Not certain if I can replicate this one! Yum!!
We were celebrating our 35th Anniversary, our waiter was Scottie, he made our evening very enjoyable and the food was amazing! We will define back again
Ciao Bella is always good. We took a couple from Silicon Valley in California and even they were impressed with the food. She raved about the risotto, we had the chicken alfredo which was much better than one would get elsewhere. We love the $4.95 dollar desserts, just the right end to the dinner.
Scott was awesome with the service and our meal was outstanding! We’ll be back within 24 hours, since we’re on a weekend trip! :)
The food was fabulous and they accommodated us wanting broccolini instead of spinach in our pasta. Our server was wonderful and energetic. The only thing we mentioned to each other was how noisy it was. It was very loud in the restaurant.
My favorite place to enjoy a meal! It's consistently delicious and I'm always treated with respect and given the best service, even if it's unplanned and I'm dressed VERY casually! You can never go wrong going to Ciao Bella.
Service and food were great. But it was sooo loud so may not come as much. Hard to talk. And for the price it would be nice for a quieter atmosphere.
The halibut special was delicious and as usually, the service was wonderful.
We had a SIGNIFICANT wait between our starter and main dish. Unfortunately, our server did not check in on us to let us know there would be a delay. Once our entrees arrived, my dish was lukewarm. The other dishes were hot and delicious. Our server never checked back on us once our entrees were delivered. It was a disappointing evening and not what we are used to at this restaurant.
Nikki is a great server. She remembers who wants water without ice, what kind of wine we like, whether we liked certain dishes or not. One of a kind!
Home made pasta was great. Service was excellent. The restaurant was very noisy, but we could still carry our conversation in a normal voice.
The food and service was great. Inside was loud, but we were seated on the patio which was lovely and quiet. All around 5 stars for this restaurant!
Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious, as usual.
Overall the experience was very good. The food was excellent, love the ambiance and also like the smaller plate options. There was confusion re: our orders and both bills needed to be corrected for errors. The waiter happily made the corrections which was nice. We will be back!
Wow! Just wow! I'd change nothing about what we ordered. My new favorite jz-oint
First time we've been to Ciao Bella. We came for our 35th Wedding Anniversary and was not disappointed. We will definitely be coming back.
We asked for a quiet table and they gave us Table 1. Staff and food were outstanding. Thank you!
The restaurant itself was really nice and the service was great! However, the food was just ok. I expected more flavor to both my app and meal (they substituted more vegetables for spices and flavor).
Birthday dinner. Nice evening. Had the Seafood Fritti which was good, not fantastic.
Such a blast! Our service was amazing!
First time here, but certainly not the last! Food was very good and came in appropriate proportions. Service was outstanding!
Adrien was our server and she was spectacular! A+
wonderful evening - amazing food and solid service.
The food is always good and the service is also. I go there at least once a month and Cia Bella does not disappoint.
Staff is awesome. Manager is incredible. Food is top notch.
We had a great evening with outstanding food and service! Jeff was our waiter and was great!
Great food. Pasta had the perfect bite. Sauce was so flavorful. And the scallops were cooked perfectly!
Ciao Bella has the most remarkable Hospitality staff in the cities...from the hostesses, the servers and the bussers to the managers! The food of course is fabulous, so kudos to the chef and the kitchen team! These people just get it, and create memorable experiences!
We always have a wonderful time and feel like we are treated with royalty!
Glad we had reservations at the restaurant was incredibly busy for 6:30 on a Thursday night! Crazy! We had to ask our server for bread three times. Food was very good but I think it seemed a bit over priced to have a basic salad (added salmon) and 2 glasses of wine for just under $60?? Not sure I’ll be rushing back...
Celebrate end of school
The service from the hostess at the entrance to the wait staff was outstanding. Each person seemed to show great interest in making sure our experience was wonderful. The food was good and plentiful. I felt the house salad had been dressed for too long when served so the greens were oil soaked. The ambiance on the outdoor patio is unbeatable.
We are outside on a beautiful evening. It seemed like there was not enough staff to keep up with the amount of people. No one came to see if our meals came out right. Didn’t get served water until almost the end of our meal. Our waitress would look at us while walking by but wouldn’t even stop to see how we were doing. We loved the food and the outdoor seating but just wished our waitress would have been to be standard of all those wonderful things
Server was polite but took forever to get the bill and then forever for them to return the bill. The spicy crab pasta was flavorless and tectureless and much of the pasta it was stuck together in one large chunk. I would have complained but was with business associates. I was embarrassed because I choose the location. Certainly not what I remembered from Chiao Bella. I will likely never return.
Always great food and great service! Love that I can always count on the same signature dishes year after year.
We love Ciao Bella. The only negative was one of the party's salmon entree was a bit over-cooked, she felt dryer than she prefers. My walleye and the lasagne ordered by my husband were excellent. Our server was fantastic, too.
This is our favorite restaurant in Msp, however this time we requested an outdoor table and had maybe the slowest and worst service I can remember at a restaurant of this quality. We waited on every phase of the meal and over 15 min to get our bill after our plates had been cleared. Very disappointing for Ciao Bella, we will be back for the delicious food, but will ask for proven wait staff working inside.
Food was great and Katie our server was wonderful.
