We went with a group of 8 for brunch and it was one of the best brunches we’ve had. And they had a seafood bar which is the only reason my boyfriend wanted to go! And it was so worth it. We will be back.
Went to Sunday brunch. The selection was fantastic.
Our server, Williams, was fantastic. Friendly, good recommendations along with great service. Beautiful night to boot. Thank you!
Brought my out of town friend to Sunday brunch. Had a view table by the window. Great food options. Great/friendly service and nice atmosphere!!
Our waiter, Anthony, was very helpful and his menu recommendations were spot on. The ribeye cap steak was delicious, and the butter cake was a perfect ending to our celebration.
Very nice restaurant. We did have children with us. I was glad to see a children’s menu. However, the ranch and celery sticks included with their meal that is supposed to help the adults at the table get through their apps never arrived. Also in the absence of straws, it would have been great to have some sort of covered cup available. Beautiful view.
Overall a good dining experience. Being on the waterfront is a plus for sure. Like most restaurants of this type it is quite pricey. It would be very once-in-awhile for me.
This was a family gathering with some of our family visiting from Oklahoma. We enjoyed the view, the company and the atmosphere. The food was fabulous!
Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed with our experience. We came to celebrate our marriage with close family, and we were seated in the bar... not the restaurant, in essentially a booth for six, with eight of us (two extra chairs added to the end). While the view was nice, it was not a $550 experience. Most of our party enjoyed their food, but the listed special dish ordered by two guests, including myself, was awful. The only saving grace, was our server was excellent and took great care of us. The hosting staff was rude and I'm not sure how blue hair is really appropriate for what boasts to be a fancy restaurant. I'm sorry to say, we will not be back to dine at CI Shenanigans.
My side salad was a limp mix of greens. The topping were good, but the greens were not delicious . My crab and shrimp melt as cold. The bread was toasted nice. Our server was lovely and accommodating , but did not clear are table very good and her attention to detail was not good.
I had requested a table by the window and they literally put me in one of the best located tables by the window! Very nice and private so that we could have a conversation even at a low speaking level! Food was amazing and came out quickly!
Food was good. Service was good. Waitress was excellent! As well as friendly, knowledgeable, helpful. Parking was easy (we were 5:00 diners). Easy to find.
Lobster Bisque which is usually to die for was disappointing (Very Salty)
Salmon was over cooked, also disappointing ,Service was very good
This restuarant could use more choices on their menu (too Limited)
We went for Sunday brunch and found a mediocre cruise line spread with no fresh salad and lots of greasy carbs. The service was non existent except for an initial cup of coffee. Had to get my own refill. Way too pricey for the level of quality.
We have been going to Shenanigans for many years. The Sunday brunch used to be the best in town, but has been going downhill for the last year or so. Food isn't bad, some is very good, but the variety has declined as has the number of different dishes.
Service by the waitperson is always very good, but the wait time, even if you have a reservation, is getting longer and longer.
We will probably keep going occasionally, but are also trying other waterfront buffets now.
Have been quite a few times in the past. Everyone enjoyed themselves for the Sunday brunch. I was a little disappointed that some of the food that should have been warm was on the cold side.
Mediocre greeting at the door- seemed like we waited just because we were there 10 min before our reservation but there were open tables. Food was okay, waiter was very nice, took a while for him to check back in when we wanted our check. Overall okay.
Went to meet a friend and have a good meal and good conversation. All were achieved! I had the Prime Rib. It was cooked to perfection and delicious! Also had the calamari appetizer. It came in strips which was different but definitely tasty. I thought the service was good but a little slow. However, the restaurant was very busy. All in all, it was a very pleasant evening with good friends and good food. I highly recommend it.
The food was mediocre our waiter was more interested in setting up extra tables that they carried all past our table. Very hard to have a conversation. We had originally asked for a better table but was told they were very busy this was the best they could do for us. Why did we even bother with reservations. We won’t be returning
We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. My husbands steak was cooked great mine was not. I asked for medium I got well done. Our waitress was amazing to us. We did get a complimentary dessert which was nice. I don’t ever complain but for what we paid I should get what I asked for.
Parking at C.I. Shenanigan's was great. We got there at 6p and there were quite a few open spots in their parking lot. The restaurant has an amazing view of the bay and it seemed like almost every table was positioned to take advantage of it.
The food was just okay. Nothing was bad but not much was good. A Caesar salad had almost no flavor from the cheese or dressing. Crab cakes were bland and mushy. Almost no texture to them aside from the breading and once cut open they almost oozed out. Halibut was pretty good. Prime rib dip sandwich was alright but usual choice of additional ingredients and au jus was served in a small gravy pitcher which made it impossible to dip the sandwich and pouring it on the plate would soak the fries and make the au just cold. Smoked salmon fettucine was also non-descript. The salmon didn't seem even vaguely smoked although if the dish had been described as salmon fettucine that would have been more acceptable. Sauce was bland as well.
Wine by the glass was good although portions were very small for the prices. An order of cheesecake was enormous and had good flavor but a grainy, dry texture.
They need to decide if they are a chain restaurant that happens to have a great view and drop their prices or embrace their location and put out much better food.
I have been to CI many times. I have not been in the last year due to traveling. We came in for my sons birthday. Our food was not up to par. Fettuccine was runny, my daughter-in-laws mac with lobster was so dry it was hard to eat. And my daughters sole was really dry. The service was no better. We did not get bread on our table. I had to ask for more water for the table. This was Friday evening.
Everything is very good
We have only been there for Sunday Brunch once, a couple of years ago and we loved it. We will be back more often from now on. Thank you always for the exceptional service and overall atmosphere!
Great time. Our first Sunday Brunch at this location. Highly reccomend for a terrific price for a wonderful Brunch. Lots of variety.
I asked for a quieter place to sit, when I made reservations, but the table next to us were very loud. Couldn't hear my family talk. Very disappointing!
Food was excellent and tony our server was very friendly, had a great sense of humor and made excellent recommendations. The restaurant’s ambiance is very nice especially sitting outside on the waterfront.
Very obnoxious diners sat in booth next to us. They should have asked to “keep it down” and to “find a motel”!
Fun dinner with a friend. Scallops on polenta, bruschetta , chowder and creme Brûlée. Excellent service, great patio seat.
This place had good service, but my gosh the food was so terrible. I’m not a picky eater nor am I a snob so it’s very rare if ever I even complain about food. This “food” however, was particularly bad, at one point I had to spit out what they referred to as “meatloaf” the Sunday breakfast buffet had many things to choose from so I tried a variety all were either cold or lukewarm and flavor?!! Forget it! I think they were more concerned with getting quantity of food out rather than quality! Would never eat here again, maybe hire a new chef that cares about what kind of food is coming out the kitchen! And they have the audacity to charge people over $25 per person for this garbage!
We had a 630pm reservation and were seated at a nice table by the window with a gorgeous view. Our server was very attentive and the food was good. We had a really nice time!
We absolutely loved our view over commencement bay! Service was excellent and the food is very delicious.
It was a nice sunny afternoon so we decided to have dinner on the deck overlooking Puget Sound. We decided to split the lobster bisque to start. My wife ordered the Ahi Tuna and I decided to go light. I had the bruschetta and lobster quesadilla. Overall it was good, but the bruschetta was too wet. Service was OK. The outside dining experience has wonderful views.
Business dinner...while the menu had fairly routine offerings, the food was prepared nicely, served hot and was thoroughly enjoyable. The server was attentive without being overbearing. The nine of us were seated in a section that allowed us ample room and was quiet enough that all could participate in the conversation.
My biggest complaint I have is the wait time. Even with a reservation we still had to wait 25 minutes to get seated. The food was good, despite the food not staying warm in the warmers. It was my first time coming for the Sunday Brunch, which I decided to go after hearing great reviews about it from a friend.
The food was quite good and the portions were ample. Service was professional.
Had the best and amazing stuffed mushrooms and oysters on the half shell and the cedar plank salmon was outstanding and the jumbo scallops were to die for and the dessert shooters was fantastic and a wonderful place to take a loved one for a special time with then
We've gone here for our 11th and 13th wedding anniversary dinner. We love the food. The service has always been amazing and sitting out by the water is our favorite. It's very romantic!
Great place for a special brunch, Anthony (our server) was great! Also a terrific view of the Tacoma waterfront.
I had to wait to long for my check. The out door environment was ruined by the duck that kept flying around our table. Then it eventually landed on another table and walked over it. That seem so unsanitary. Other than those two issues we enjoyed ourselves.
