   The food was just so so. Our waiter was great and the music was nice. We were in a small room that was pretty loud.

   Our party of 6 were seated at a table at the very end of the porch. When we were seated there was a table of 4 men next to our table. Another couple was seated right next to us. Except for one table at the other end of the porch no other tables were occupied during our meal. The table of 4 men were talking and drinking loudly. To hear each other we were forced to speak loudly. The noise level continued to raise. I started to request our party be moved but our food arrived, so we stayed. I cannot understand when all 3 parties were placed less than 6 feet apart. There was so much space not used. The service was very slow. The waiter did not ask if we want more drinks, refilled water only one time. When salads were delivered, we never had the chance to request pepper. After finishing the entrees, we had to wait a long time to place the desert order. By now it was getting late, so we requested the desserts to go. Again, another long wait. The restaurant was not busy. On a positive note, 2 of our party arrived early for the reservation. They enjoyed a very pleasant drink and appetizers in the bar.

   Delicious meal in a colonial setting with musical accompaniments. Lovely evening!

   Excellent experience; food, service, and atmosphere were great. A bit noisy but worth the visit. Food experience was a very welcome one.

   Always fun at the Williamsburg taverns, thoughtful food with history in mind as well as roaming minstrels. We always have a tavern meal when in Williamsburg.

   Great service. Very well prepared food. Downside was being seated in a small room with a large group who were very noisy

    Our waiters name was tiny Tim and he was sensational! He brought the 18th century experience to life and told us so much about the time period and the foods! Everything was absolutely delicious and we tried new dishes that we had never eaten before! We definitely will be back!
