   It was Mother’s Day, we were afraid it would be crazy busy! But it was not bad. Our table was ready at our reservation time. We were given a booth in the bar area… Which was fine. Service was excellent. Food was delicious. Very nice experience!

   Usually a 5 star experience when we go to Chophouse but our last visit was a little disappointing. Service was slower then you'd expect at a high $ 5 star restaurant, had to ask for many things several times(straws, bread, drinks and refills). Do better.

   Made reservations via Open Table in advance. I called the day of to change our party size from two to three, confirm they knew it was my wife’s 65th birthday and that I would like a booth. I was told “No problem” and quickly received confirmation of change via text. We arrived 15 minutes early, checked in and waited 30 mins to be seated. This has happened the last two visits. Then they led us to a four chair table. When I informed him I had specifically asked earlier that day for a booth for my wife’s birthday, he checked and said there was nothing he could do as there was a pecking order for the booths. I let him know there were two empty booths available in the bar, that had been empty since we arrived 30 minutes before. He told us those were reserved and couldn’t give us one. He then said he would make it right for us. The second issue was, other than the server saying Happy Birthday to my wife when he first came up, there was no acknowledgement of her special day. I will give credit for the excellent service during our meal, he was spot on. The bone in ribeyes and my wife’s filet were perfectly cooked and tasty. We loved the table side preparation of the lobster tail and it was delicious. And the recommended two bottles of wine complimented the food quite well. But, they missed the mark on recognizing my wife’s special day.

   We enjoyed an outstanding date night. The service and food was excellent and well worth the cost!

   This is a well run upscale restaurant that serves prime steaks and seafood. We use it for special occasions because we drive an hour plus to get there but enjoy ourselves every time. Well worth the trip.

    Robert, our service did a decent job. Also with our geriatric family managers, the noise level in the back area was good. The prices are STEEP, but all quality steakhouse prices are vertical. Our TX Family enjoyed the food and vino I selected. Thanks Chophouse47!
