This was for our anniversary. I had a filet and crab legs. My crab was cold as was the melted butter. My husband also had a filet and his smashed potatoes were cold. We were disappointed in our meal especially considering the prices.

We have been to this restaurant before and you can’t beat it for beautiful water views and dining on their lovely deck. It was a rainy night this visit so we were seated in the restaurant and due to COVID table spacing we were placed in front of the door with a view of the service area-not very special for a birthday dinner. The server was interesting and kind. The food was fresh and tasty but not particularly creative.

We are long-time customers of Chop. The food is always excellent. I especially love the steaks and the lamb chops. I also have been very happy with their soups, I've enjoyed them all. The servers have always been friendly while being very efficient. We sat outside and everyone kept their distance, so I felt relatively "safe", if one can feel safe in our current situation.

We had Caitlin as our server. She was very nice, knew the menu and suggested a great meal. I had the surf and turf special with the lobster and NY strip and my husband had the ribeye. Both were delicious! We would highly recommend this restaurant!
Service was so so. Waitress was not friendly and although we said we had never been there before we had to ask all the questions regarding food wine ect. She seemed annoyed.
Birthday dinner for a good friend. Server was Excellent, food was delicious. Great meal and a great evening.
Scallops were DELICIOUS, popovers were amazing, and carrot cake was yummy. My significant other did the early bird $25 special which was such a great deal. The only negative thing was that his steak was overdone and when asked if this is how they usually cook medium rare, the server replied yes. It was over done and should have been sent back but she was very busy with big table parties.
We will be back but hope for a better steak next time and a server that’s a little more attentive
We had the pork chop with red potatoes and it was amazing! Cooked to perfection. Their bread is light as air. So good! We will be back. Great views from 2nd level

Restaurant was extremely busy the evening we were there, with about 20 groups waiting to be seated. It was just as well it was a beautiful evening, so they could make use of the outside lawn. We had a reservation, but had to wait 25 minutes to be seated. There was no offer of a drink for while we were waiting. When we were shown our table, it was not laid, and menus and cutlery were thrown down - not quite the fine dining experience. Also, no apology for the wait nor an offer made to not charge for our first drink. Still, we hoped the food would be good. Alas, that was mediocre at best. My husband and son had had better steaks, and my duck was dry and overcoooked. We will not be returning to Chop on our next trip to Door County.
Food is great, steaks are always so tender! Will always make a point of eating here every time we are in town.

Server was arrogant. Pork chop was fatty, no meat. Server did not check on us. Silverware and plates were dirty with left over mashed potatoes. Very disappointing

What a find! One of the best steaks I've ever had. Definitely order the scallops (as an appetizer or add on) -- they are DIVINE! Super, attentive service. I have celiac disease and was well taken care of. Would highly recommend.

Glad to see COVID precautions being enforced at Chop. Went to multiple places prior and were the only people in the place wearing a mask. Chop, you have it going on and are providing quality of service far and beyond any other dining offerings in all of Door County!

All in all very good however we mentioned we had 2 birthdays at the table and they asked us if we wanted a dessert ( thinking it was a complimentary birthday treat) but we were charged for the items.
We recommend nevertheless.
