    We have been to CHOP several times and it is always excellent. I had the mushroom ravioli and it was excellent. My husband had the filet medallions and loved them.

    Overall disappointment would describe our experience. Chop has been a favorite stop for several years so we expected good things — didn’t happen. Friends had warned us because they, too, were disappointed, but we decided we’d decide for ourselves. The popovers (chop staple) were way over-baked/done as were the shrimp. The smashed little reds were nothing to write home about; same for the rice. But the a Salmon was good. Don’t think we will plan on another meal there until we hear better reviews from those who go there. Again—a large disappointment for us.

    We had the Friday night Perch Fry special and it was very good (not greasy) and they let us substitute wild rice or mashed potatoes for the fries! Service was excellent, sadly a large birthday party with 20 people with 4 young kids who were not well behaved detracted from the normally nice atmosphere. They should have been seated in the basement or 2nd floor where they would have been away from the main part of the restaurant. My wife tripped on the very dark steps from the parking lot between the restaurant and hotel, we mentioned this to the hostess and she said has been an issue especially in bad weather and suggested calling the village. Well we noticed on the way out that one of the lights was burnt out on the side of the building near the steps, just fixing this would have helped. Chop is still charging an extra 3.9% service charge and has the audacity of making this part of the bill and suggested gratuities! This bogus fee is why we have reduced our visits to this otherwise excellent DC restaurant.

    Service was amazing, and food matched the price! Everything we ate was delicious, and we highly recommend an early dinner for their early dinner 3 course option. Also recommend a reservation on weekends as they get packed quickly.

    Hostess was rude. We had mentioned it was our anniversary on line. No acknowledgment at the restaurant. Service was slow. Different staff for entree. Dessert. 4% service charge—just add it to the price. Would not recommend this restaurant

    The place was awesome! drinks were good, and the meal was very thoughtful...superb food! Only reason I selected 4 stars on ambiance/noise level is there was a very loud/drunk woman next to us who kept coming over to our table during romantic meal. Facility/staff/food all excellent!

    Had a perfect rib eye! Our server Dahlia was fantastic. Brought me a sample to taste, so I could decide on my wine selection and also recommended a great Sunday restaurant in Ellison Bay that had amazing Pizza and wine selection.

    The food is always excellent as is the service. We usually sit downstairs on the main level. We were seated upstairs this time and that must be where families with toddlers and babies are seated. The noise level was high due to crying and fussing babies. We will specify location better next time. The early bird special is a good value. This was our first experience with bad and indifferent service. Bad enough that I sent a private message to the restaurant’s website. It won’t keep us from returning in the future but we are quite disappointed with our whole experience and will definitely put some time between the next visit.

    We had a reservation and were seated immediately. Our waiter Adam was personable, attentive and just down right awesome. Scallop appetizer was amazing. Our entrees were cooked to order and very yummy. We will be back

    Good service, quality food. The scallops were amazing! May be a little expensive but you definitely get what you pay for. Quality cocktails and overall a wonderful ambience. Great place for a date night.

    Sitting on the main street that goes through Sister Bay. The building has great curb appeal. We had reservations and were seated promptly when we arrived. We started with Caeser Salads that were very good. I had the rib eye and my wife the 6oz Filet. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and the Chop House compound butter I had added to my Ribeye complimented the steak well. I substituted the potatoes for asparagus and it was very good. My wife had the banana foster for dessert and I had the key lime pie. Both were very good and finished off our meal perfectly. Not the cheapest of options but I believe you get what you pay for. The restaurant was busy and it doesn't give off the quiet romantic night out vibe, the atmosphere was nice and service was great. I would highly recommend CHOP

    Overall excellent! Service at the beginning of our meal seemed a little rushed. My husband got both soup and a salad, they were served at the same time and he felt like he had to rush through them before our entree came. It would have been nice to see lumps of lobster in the soup for the increased price, but overall the meal was excellent! Love the early dining option for those that want it. Staff were very attentive. Steak was very flavorful but butter was almost totally melted by the time it was served, not sure the compound flavoring came through. I had put on our reservation it was for our anniversary and there was no recognition of that which would have been nice.
