Excited to visit. Had a reservation for 4:30. Arrived from museum around 3:45 thinking we could have a pre-dinner cocktail and relax. Door was open, no one to greet us. Went to bar and was told we'd be able to get a drink at 4:00. At 4:15 the barmaid yelled to us that she wasn't allowed to serve us until 4:30. By now other people were beginning to come in. We were questioned around 4:00 as to why we were sitting at table in bar area and said we had reservations. After giving our name there still seemed to be confusion. At almost 4:40 I walked down to the front and asked if there was a problem with our reservation and was told our table was still being set up. At this point someone came to take drink orders so we ordered. Within 2 minutes we were called to our table. We asked to have our drinks brought to us and the hostess said that wasn't possible. Hence we needed to reorder once we arrived at table. Our waitstaff (Quentin and Leo) were very attentive but the hostesses needed some lessons on being friendly, organized and on top of things.
I really enjoyed how they would come by your table and would ask if you would like to request any specific type of meat. It made us feel very welcomed and like a valued customer.
went with 11 of us and they entire staff was extremely accommodating. i highly recommend for group events as well happy hour.
I had an amazing meal at Chima! The staff was friendly and welcoming upon walking in. The restaurant was full but it still felt quiet and private. The food was tasty and plentiful. I would definitely go again!
Wonderful service as always! My fiancee and I enjoyed ourselves for dinner and can't wait to host our engagement dinner there in the fall.
Meats were excellent as always. Service was not as good as usual. Our waiter was never around to offer fresh plates or anything else that we needed.
We originally found Chima in Fort Lauderdale and felt in love with the restaurant. We visited the Philadelphia Chima this past weekend and were equally pleased. The Chima Philadelphia is a 2 hour drive for us but completely worth it for us.
My gf and I ate here last night for her birthday dinner. Since I don't eat meat we rarely go to these types of places ($40 for a salad bar is a bit much for me), but I wanted her to enjoy herself.
The food good, but our waiter was awful. He made us wait a full 30 minutes after we were done eats and then ask "so are you done?". I am assuming his man is homophobic cause we were the only couple in his section ignored. We never got offered another drink. We never got offer dessert. When I told him I was a vegetarian he rolled his eyes at me. My gf was so bummed by this dinner that we had to do a second birthday night to try and bounce back.
Went here for our anniversary. The salad bar is fabulous, the gauchos and waiters are very attentive. Some of the meats were overly tough.
Service was excellent.
Some of the meats were tough even that they were medium rare for me and not well done.
The pineapple had too much Cinnamon.
I believe that desert should have been included with the price charged.
