    Just the most bizarre dining experience. I booked what I thought was a steakhouse and ended up somewhere that serves a fixed menu with the final meat course which included chicken and shrimp, served by waiters dressed as gauchos. A world away from the experience I expected and most definitely not for me.

    Chima is an excellent place to eat if you like meat. I had been to other steakhouses but must admit this place exceeded my expectations. My only complaint was the noise of a young child which happened when we were halfway through dinner.

    Service was fair, purchased full rodizio. Salmon, Cheese, and Pineapple showed three times as many as any other protein. Basically I declined three times as many options than accepted. Waiter offered to “refresh” plates which was nice but never returned with clean plates… physically walked to buffet to get new ones. I actually walked past our waiter to claim new plate. Only one beverage refill during entire meal service. I’ve frequented this location over a dozen times. Second return since pandemic, hoping this is not the new norm. Unfortunately underwhelmed for $155 for two.

    The food, drinks and service was amazing. Rubia, our waitress took extra care and attention anytime we needed anything. It was busy for a Wednesday night, but every cut of steak was tender and full of flavor.

    Our server, Rubia, was excellent! Very knowledgable about the entire menu. Helpful in assisting us in making selections. She was excellent at providing refills on our drink orders as well. The cut of the meats were generally very good as well. The house sirloin was superb and quite flavorful. My partner had the salad bar as her dinner and she loved the great variety. By the way bringing out roasted vegetables on a skewer was an excellent idea. The only downside for our visit was that we arrived a few minutes earlier than our 6:30 reservation and were told to wait at the bar (because our table was not "ready"). At 6:30 most of the restaurant was empty so I didn't understand why we were forced to wait over 15 additional minutes for our table. That was frustrating and put a slight damper on our visit.

    Food is excellent and gauchos are prompt and efficient in getting you the food. The servers seemed to be stretched thin as I waited quite a bit after I was done eating to pay the bill, it could be because I was on the later end of dinner. I have always enoyed Chima, more than the competitor Brazillian chains.

    A Gastronomic Extravaganza at Chima I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chima Philadelphia with my fiancé and dear friend Fatima L. Peters and it was an absolute culinary delight from start to finish. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by the warm and inviting ambiance, setting the stage for what turned out to be an unforgettable experience. The service was impeccable; Rubia as always gave us her best; the staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and always ready with a smile. They guided us through the unique dining style of the restaurant, where succulent cuts of meat are carved tableside until you're content. The star of the show, of course, was the meat. Each cut was perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. From the mouthwatering picanha to the tender filet mignon, every bite was a burst of flavor. The gauchos ' mastery over the grill was evident in every morsel, and the variety of meats offered was impressive. But it wasn't just about the meat. The salad bar was a cornucopia of fresh, vibrant options that complemented the main course beautifully. The selection of sides and accompaniments provided a perfect balance to the richness of the meats. The wine list was extensive, offering a range of options to suit every palate. Rubia was very knowledgeable with recommendations spot on and enhanced our dining experience. We ordered your last bottle of Caymus 2019. That was incredible! In conclusion, we will be back.     Food was solid, service and drinks were outstanding. Ambiance was really nice until a group of 8-10 large, loud men sat at the table behind us. Totally eliminated any ability to hear each other as they were so loud. Not the restaurant’s fault although I do wish they’d asked them to tone it done a bit as clearly we weren’t the only diners bothered. I think next visit, we’ll take advantage of their stellar happy hour as that seems like a great deal! Drinks were fantastic.

    Went for a BFF’s birthday celebration. 4 in our party. Had the best experience from the service (arrived earlier than reservation was for) to the food to leaving! Was seated and everything was explained in detail. No complaints at all! It was my second time but the first time for everyone else! Had an amazing time! Will go back!     Food was good. Server was good and thoughtful for our anniversary. However we never got out included side dishes even after he asked and said he would make sure they came out. A LOT of kids there making it very noise and not a romantic atmosphere. Very different experience than I had five or so years ago. For the price and ambiance I wouldn’t go back.

    Let me explain. If you are the host. Or manager. Or whatever you are that day, and decide to stand at the host counter and look absolutely miserable, don’t. It’s funny because actually the review before mine actually outed her name. I wasn’t even going to. But since Rebecca is the topic of conversation let’s continue. Me and my girlfriend out for an amazing evening, so excited to try THE FAMOUS CHIMA! Just to walk in and get whispered and looked up and downed. You made my date feel so uncomfortable in her evening dress. It wasn’t revealing. It wasn’t dramatic. It was a simple black dress that we made sure to pin up so it would not drag on the floor so no one would trip. But instead of just getting through the interaction without the dirty look, you thought it was ok to do it anyways. So when we get there, we let you know we are here for a reservation you tell us to go wait in the waiting area and you would call us for our table. No problem; normal stuff. It’s when Rebecca whispered to the manager, in a blue suit tonight, and referred to us with her eyes that I than had a problem. For the rest of the night Rebecca decided to go around to all the other tables and ask how everyone was but continued to skip over mine. No one would come up to our table besides my waitress, WHO KILLED IT TONIGHT AND IS TOO GOOD FOR CHIMA BECAUSE SHE BUSTED HER BUTT TO MAKE ME AND MY GIRLFRIEND FEEL COMFORTABLE AGAIN. SO SHOUTOUT TO CHRISTINE, you killed it girl. But I even stressed to my waitress how upset I was. And still no one even came up to ask if the food was ok management wise. But anyways than we get to the end of our night. Where the blue suit manager than decided he would continue to watch us until we left. Never once came up to me. Never once asked us if I was ok, because I’m pretty certain my face told I was not ok. But no. Decided to stare me and my girlfriend down until the valet brought my car. I will absolutely never tell anyone of my family. Or my friends to go to

    It was my very first time being in Chima Steakhouse. A friend of mine had worked there and recommended I eat there. The food was amazing, the servers were always there making sure we we’re well attended. The experience was amazing. Our server explained the thematic of the restaurant. There was a salad bar we would go to and pick out any type of food that was available, almost like a buffet. Once we got our food from the salad bar (because they had rice and beans and a variety of things there) we came back to our table and waited for the “butcher chefs” to come to our table and offer us a slice of their variety of meats. We had a small card that we’d flip from one side to the other, one side allowing them to keep coming to the table and keep offering steaks, and the other side letting them know you are not wanting at the moment. I had a sangria to drink and I absolutely loved the delicacy of it. My husband had a lime mojito and he had the best mojito experience as I recall. The ambiance was wonderful, there was little to no noise and the lighting was just perfect. Not too bright were as it’s uncomfortable and not too dark were as you couldn’t see anything. Definitely worth my money, and very easy to make a reservation.

    What an elegant and savory place to eat and celebrate life! The buffet has some very fine items that goes really well with the meat service show. Just be careful not to get too full before dessert. They have some delicious options that they make in house. What a night!
