Very enjoyable meal! I always order the rotisserie chicken, but instead tried the beef stroganoff this time. Both are excellent and would highly recommend either one. The wedge salad and banana cream pie for dessert completes the meal.

I dined on Friday, 4/14. Really liked the food and the server who took great care of me. However, I do have a complaint - I called the restaurant beforehand to confirm they served Coke products and was told they do. When I arrived I ordered a Coke, and asked to confirm that it wasn't Pepsi. My server informed me they have an off brand MN made version instead. I really appreciated her honesty and the way she handled it the situation and offered alternatives. That said, I didn't appreciate the dishonest answer I received when I called the restaurant specifically asking for confirmation. While this may seem like a small thing for many people, it's important to me.

Some of the restaurant looks very warm and inviting, we were sat in a row of booths that look like they were squeezed in as an afterthought. Tiny booths for 4 people. Drink selection was good, but it took two separate requests to get a round of waters and even then they didn't bring one for everyone. Food wasn't as good as it's been in the past. I personally had the Tuna Poke bowl, and had to ask for the sauce listed on the menu as there was non to be found in the dish. I think we'll probably skip Chester's next time and visit another of Novas restaurants. It's not terrible, but when you're used to a certain caliber... This place definitely fell short.

We dine at Chesters often. The food this time was not up to par My boyfriend had his usual chicken which he said he wouldn’t have eaten, but he was hungry. It was very bland and over cooked. I tried something different for a change one of the salads. It was tasty, but there was a lot of salt on it I was really swollen the next day It was just a bad choice for me. On another note, it was the first time we’ve had a server that who seemed be having an off day. We usually have such fun and good service.

Excellent staff from reception to serving staff. All professional and capable. The food was as promised. My only criticism is the lack of vegetables on the menu. On previous visits I believe we could get vegetables as Side dishes. None were available on this visit.

Being a Saturday evening the noise level was high since the restaurant was jammed, not their fault. The service and food were not up to their usual standards. Our wait staff person had to be asked to provide silverware and water for the table when we already had our appetizer. We were disappointed the walleye cakes were not available for the 15th anniversary celebration, if a large number of people were ordering those maybe they could be brought back at some point since it would appear people really like them. My meatloaf arrived with a goodly portion of mashed potatoes and meatloaf, but with a small amount of gravy so it got rather dry as I ate.

Dinner was fine. Our server was not clear about when we would get charged for things, which is annoying. (I ordered a sandwich and what I thought was a $2.50 soup but was charged $7.50 for it because I had to specifically waive the fries. She should have said that! She also asked if we wanted rolls or corn bread, but didn’t make it clear the rolls were free but cornbread was extra.) It wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t go back.

Good place for a sandwich but $58 for a 1/2 in thick ala cart ribeye with no flavor is crazy. I can buy one inch thick ribeyes myself at Costco that taste much better. Calamari tasted like it came out of a bag

The food was great and the service was prompt. But we noticed that literally everyone who worked there from the hostess to the servers looked absolutely miserable. There wasn’t one person who cracked a smile the entire time we were there. It’s unfortunate because everything else was good.
