    Delicious as always! Bring back the mashed sweet potatoes! Service was good but a tad slow which is unusual. Love the atmosphere and view of the lake.

    We were sat at a 2 person table which is way too small for this nice of a restaurant. A bottle of wine, salads and bread took up the whole table. Salads were great, steak came out well done when ordered medium rare. We did send it back and the new one came out good but for the price, it was not worth it. They did comp dessert which was tasty. Service was great. Restaurant was super loud all night.

    Austin, our waiter, was outstanding. Also, if you haven’t gone since they changed ownership, come back. We stopped coming because our filets were always blackened - even for medium. No more! They were delicious!

    Disappointed which is not usually a word I use when dining at Chester's. The service was subpar even though they were not particularly busy.

    I’ve been a Chester’s customer since it opened with very frequent visits. Sadly since the new ownership the establishment has done down hill dramatically. The atmosphere and facility remain first class and the patio is great. But that’s where the goodness ends. The service is really bad. I see to know servers by name as did they and they were attentive. Now, we experienced 40 minute delay with no service check in at all. I even asked to talk to manager and no staff would take the time to relay. The food was fine. Not great and certainly not up to historical levels and not what you should expect at Chester’s. I miss the old menu, the old staff and service and the old ownership. If you are planning a nice upscale meal out… I would recommend other choices now before Cheaters. I only hope someone is paying attention, reading reviews, and making changes because I would like to return for a great experience again.

    The service was incredible. I came in from out of town and took a client here for dinner. They did not disappoint. The chicken and crab dish was delicious. I would order that again. Everyone else had steaks and they were cooked perfectly to temperature. We shared the hashbrowns which turn out to be more like mashed potatoes with crispy hashbrowns on top, so creative. The citrus carrot cake was dry, I wouldn’t recommend that dessert but the lemon lavender cheesecake was divine.

    Chester’s is a beautiful place. However, I was very disappointed. We get inside and it’s welcoming. Our table rocked and was position at the seam of a door that was very close to another table. Was not offered to move tables. Another couple that sat behind us were so close that the chairs rubbed together and my guest could not get out of his chair once we were finished. Service was good. Food needs work. The crab cakes tasted nothing like a Maryland Crab Cake. I could barely tell if it had crabs meat. The texture and taste was off. The Chicken Caprese was not seasoned, the lettuce to the house salad was old. Drinks were good. We didn’t want to stay for dessert. For the amount of money spent, I wished we enjoyed the experience.

    We went here for a birthday dinner. The food was underwhelming and steak was barely seasoned. There were sauces available but not very good. The portions were a nice size but you’re definitely paying for it as prices there are pretty expensive. 20% automatic gratuity with our party of 8. The service was excellent and manager walked around and greeted each table. We brought our own cake and they cut and serve.

    Service and food are always excellent. We sat on the patio and it was a perfect night to watch the ducks swim while we enjoyed our drinks and meal.

    We had been to Chester’s when they opened years ago. Our kids had given us a gift card for our anniversary last year. Chester’s had been known as a “high end” restaurant with white tablecloths and great steaks. Our dinner last night was anything but “high end “ and very much disappointing. We started with a crab cake that had such a fried crust on it we had to cut it with a knife. The salad was pretty good and actually the best part of our meal. The potato was not dry and fluffy but seemed as though it was microwaved several hours earlier and reheated. And then the steak. What we love about a fillet is there is no waste and it is pure meat. When my husband had to saw at it I knew it was not going to be good. Chewy , marbled, Yuk! Not worth the cost and honestly a hamburger and french fries would have tasted better. Our server did a great job 😊

    Overall the quality and consistency has nose dived from prior visits. Oysters Rockefeller were very soupy/bland and came out cold…could’ve used another couple minutes in the broiler. Entrees arrived 90 minutes after we sat down and both were cold. 10 oz Filet was cooked perfectly, but was cold to the touch as if it had been sitting for 15-20 minutes. Diver Sea Scallops were also prepared wonderfully, but once again completely cold. Creamed Spinach came out piping hot and was wonderful. Management comped all the food, but somehow our server managed to misplace our entrees when boxing them up. Not sure where the miscommunication is from server to kitchen, but for the price point there are far too many better options around town.

    Very disappointed in this restaurant. The quality of the ribeye steaks was poor for the prices paid. A lot of grizzle that we literally had to spit out. We ordered garlic butter on the side and instead it came smothered over the steaks. The brussel sprout side dish was tasteless and the peanuts that were part of it were added tasteless crunch. The mac and cheese side, however, was very good, but hardly made up for the rest of the meal. Overall, much too pricey for what turned out to be a mediocre (at best) dinner.

    Our server was very nice and we enjoyed the service tremendously but either him or or the kitchen absolutely butchered our order. Half was wrong the first time and even after they were corrected the order still wasn’t 100% correct. With that said, great food, our guy was great to work with and nice atmosphere. Definitely worth the premium you are paying.

    In early for a date night on Saturday. We had a secluded table in the corner of the back dining room next to the fireplace. Enjoyed the atmosphere very much. Started with cocktails and carpaccio. The Paloma was exceptional and the carpaccio was phenomenal. My wife enjoyed the salad with pears and candied nuts, and said her salmon was was perfect. I had the bistro filet. I asked for medium rare, but it came out medium well (according to their menu, which is medium most other places), so it was manageable. Sides are generous, family style portions. However, the real treat was our service. Dakota is personable and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. He made up for the steak by bringing us a few night caps of port. A special experience that you shouldn’t wait for a special reason to enjoy. Will be back soon.

    Our third evening in the last six weeks. Each visit was very enjoyable. The service was excellent and each meal at our table was presented and tasted just the way you would expect from a top restaurant. We never felt rushed and the atmosphere was perfect for good conversation. It has now become our favorite restaurant in Wichita

    This Place is amazing and beautiful to spend the evening with friends or a loved one for a special occasion. Last night Roberto a well known local guitarist played and apparently every Friday evening he plays👏Martinis and Voka Sodas was our choice of drinks with a bottle of wine to finish. My Wife absolutely loved her Meatballs and Pasta while I enjoyed the chopped Beef Hamburger over a sourdough bun and French Onion soup poured over it🤗 appetizer enjoyed was Shrimp Cocktail and the best Calamari over a bed of Asian Salad just amazing. They are well known for their Steaks and Pork Chops so guess we will be coming back many times. Also where else these days can you go and find the owner going around and checking on costumers seriously so great. We met the manager Ben last night as he as well was checking on their clients pretty cool. So to sum up our evening at Chester’s Chop House I give them as many Stars ⭐️ as you can muster up👏 Thank you Mickey and Janet

    Waiter got my wife’s Martini order wrong twice. He recommended the calamari which was some of the toughest I’ve ever had and had hardly any breading and minimal sauce. Revolver drink was quite good. Very smooth. They got my wife’s wedge salad wrong and finally brought the right one which she said was average at best. Caesar salad was quite good. Both of our Filets were very good. Could have used a touch more seasoning but overall quite tasty. I guess this is the new norm, $200 for a pretty good but not very memorable meal. The universal struggles with staffing continue.

    The food was very good. Took a bit to be initially approached by our server. Server mentioned that she and another server would be taking care of us but we never saw the other server. Service was adequate initially but towards the end of our meal, the server was seen less and less. We had to leave our table to ask another server for utensils for our crème brûlée. We were seated near the kitchen which was loud with raised voices back and forth and at times chanting. All in all the food was very good albeit overpriced but the service was disappointing. We made the best of our dinner and accommodations and agreed that Chester's was not going to put a damper on our Anniversary dinner.

    Had out-of-town guest here from Virginia. We arrived at 6:30 at our assigned time…6:30. I ordered a Prime KC Strip. It was tough as a boot. Our meal and after dinner drinks had us leaving just before 10pm. Very dissatisfied and expensive.

    One of our go to’s for customer dinners! However tonight all of our steaks were undercooked and the strip steaks had more fat in them expected. But we will be back for the Kansas Tall grass!

    Filet was dry and no flavor. Tomahawk steak charred and no flavor. Brought out sauce to add flavor. Steak just needs salt and pepper. Very over priced.
