Marianne’s organic garden helps supply Warren’s kitchen with his beloved fresh produce & both are actively involved in the local food movement.
The ambiance is fusion as well - bistro style rather than “fine dining” - that is at once classic French and comfortable with an open kitchen so foodies can watch the work in progress. Art work is a mix of Mucha prints and Warren’s photography. Music is quirky.
Nightly wine by the glass specials, carefully curated wine list and a delightful cocktail menu round out drinks offerings.
Neither high chairs nor booster seats are available.
Reservations are for a two hour time period.
Classic Parisian style sidewalk seating available.
Warren and his wife Marianne have spent the last twenty-three years delighting diners with their worldly cuisine & genuine hospitality.

For sure this is one of the best restaurants in the Pinehurst / Southern Pines area.
Literally the best food i’ve ever eaten, the staff is superb, felt like i was with family ;)
We are long time fans of Chef Warren's. The ambience is always wonderful, the food always exceptional with a blend of classical and imaginative dishes and the service fantastic. If I had a third thumb, I'd give it three thumbs up. Though not a "budget" restaurant, I give it 5 stars for value because it is worth every penny.
Excellent experience at Chef Warren’s. The service is paramount from the top down - plates are bussed promptly after each course, your wine glass will never be empty, and even the chef will ask you if you enjoyed your meal. Order the fish special - I’ve dined here twice in one week for the fish alone. The woman cooking the fish is an absolute professional and you will not be disappointed. The restaurant is cozy and elegant for a date or on a solo date with yourself. If you dine solo, sit at the bar and watch the magic happen in the kitchen or ask to sit at the back table to people watch in the room. 5 out of 5 for this spot!
Great food and service. We had 8 golfers dine for dinner and we all agreed Chef Warren's was our favorite. Look forward to our next visit.
The food is excellent had Kangaroo for an appetizer. The shrimp, scallops and lions mane mushrooms were delicious. Sampled my dates duck and it was prepared perfectly. They have a very nice wine list and cocktails.
The staff was warm, funny and very talented made you feel right at home.
Had a great night and will be returning soon.
Good experience minus some of our left overs I asked to be boxed up were thrown away.
Always amazing experience, truly one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to
Charming restaurant with excellent service and cuisine whether celebrating a special occasion or just celebrating a good day!
Fantastic food and service. This restaurant never disappoints and is my absolute favorite place to dine in Southern Pines!
The owner's wife was very attentive along with our servers, she made us feel special and well cared for. There was birthday confetti on our table! This is my favorite place to come for my birthday every year!
It was birthday and we found a gem of a restaurant right in our backyard! Could not have been more perfect an evening.
An extremely good dining experience. Perhaps the best restaurant in Southern Pines.
One of the best!
Great dining experience, I believe the best in the area.
I little pricey but worth every penny
Variety of food was exceptional! It is a great find in a small town atmosphere.
As always, a fantastic food and wine experience. Outstanding staff and service. Owners are dedicated to be the best and they have always delivered that over the 20+ years we have been customers.
Food was excellent, service was very good. Look forward to going back sometime!
The service was outstanding. The escargot appetizer was flat but the shrimp was interesting and had great flavor. The main courses were very good. The pork schnitzel was prepared well and flavorful. The accompanying Mac and cheese was fine. The duck breast was excellent and the accompanying kale / spinach was amazing! Overall, the restaurant had an intimate feel and was extremely comfortable. The wine list was varied and reasonably priced — definitely a plus. I would definitely go back to Chef Warren.
Thanks it was fantastic!
The Team there is great! Mary was wonderful!!!
We had the best Birthday dinner ever! This is 5-star dining at its finest. The mushroom appetizer was simply amazing, and the hand crafted drinks were incredible. Definitely worth the wait. Our Scallop and Schnitzel entrees were over the top and the pecan pie was to kill for. We’ll definitely be back!
Waiters have a tendency to pull unfinished cocktails off the table without asking. Food is best in SOP.
The food is wonderful as is the service. It’s a great place for a date or special occasion!
Really nice experience. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary and they held an outside table for us (as requested). Nice touches with special confetti and a fan to keep the flies away. Chef's wife/co-owner, various waitstaff, Chef Warren all came to the table at various times to talk/welcome us/describe the food. All of the food was exceptionally prepared. Chef gets local mushrooms on Fridays, so make sure to get his special mushroom appetizer if its on the menu!
We don't live in town but will go back to eat there!
The hostess took time to remember and acknowledge that it was our anniversary. The waitress was phenomenal—nice but not overbearing. And the food was perfect! Highly recommend for any life celebration or just for a nice dinner.
Outstanding as always!
3rd time at Chef Warren's and all have been excellent. I had scallop and shrimp and wife had hanger steak with fries. Best Mai Tai ever and wife loved monitor.
We always have an amazing evening at Chef Warren’s. It is consistently excellent in every way.
Perfect place to celebrate our anniversary; the menu, food, and service were outstanding!
We could not have had a better time! The food was excellent and the staff was attentive and personable. We felt at home and very taken care of. I especially appreciate the thoughtful measures they are taking for covid. They go above and beyond to protect their staff and customers in a very fact driven, straight forward, caring way. I haven’t felt this comfortable in a restaurant in a long time. We will definitely be back!
The staff was awesome and the food OMG
Chef Warrens is now my favorite restaurant
Good service all night! Food preparation was excellent. While the atmosphere was fine, it is not an intimate setting as it is basically an open room with a small bar seating area in addition to the tables.
Always a great experience at Chef Warren’s. Great food and great people!
My first time to Chef Warren's and it did not disappoint. The food was amazing, the service was attentive, but not bothersome or pushy. The atmosphere is relaxed, but elegant.
The service was very attentive, we never wanted for anything. The lamb chops and the Crab Ragoon appetizer were delicious. We will return.
My husband and I have been going here for 10 years. Always a wonderful experience. Outstanding food and service!
Chef Warren’s has a great atmosphere with a wonderful staff. Went here for a date night and the food was amazing. The steak and spicy fries will not disappoint. We have found our date night spot.
Sadly, I feel that I can no longer trust reviews from this site. The past 3 5 star reviewed restaurants we’ve tried while traveling have been really disappointing. Maybe it’s because we’re from RI and the food is usually top notch, especially the seafood. This place is very expensive, the food is bland and the portions were very tiny. To charge $40 plus per entree is just taking advantage of people. They had very few gluten free choices so I had salmon over basically bib lettuce with some candies nuts and they charged $40, they also charged $42 for 3 medium shrimp and 3 between small and medium scallops and some orzo pasta. Even my 7 year old said the mussels and his Mac and cheese weren’t very good. Save your money, the server was nice and they have good wine offerings, but it’s just not worth the price tag. Hate leaving a place feeling ripped off, but that’s exactly how we felt.
Our son took us here for a retirement dinner. We had never been and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff was very attentive and friendly and the food itself was wonderful. We normally have another restaurant in the vicinity where we go for special occasions but Chef Warren's has become our go to.
