An awesome choice for innovative Hawaiian cuisine. In this case using classical French dishes to reinterpreted, and often invigorated, by local Hawaiian ingredients. The tasting menu was exceptionally fulfilling, and the wine pairings were on point. Highly recommended.

This was our first time at Chef Mavro and we really enjoyed the overall dining experience. We were celebrating a belated Valentine’s Day and opted for the five-course “romance” menu and accompanying wine flights. Without going into detail overload, the room is nice (not sure why there was no music for added ambience), the food was beautifully presented and tasty, but the service was uneven. Our waiter didn’t offer a pre-dinner cocktail and seemed in a hurry for us to order all 5-courses ASAP. A little “cruise ship” for our taste, but beyond that, we were pleased and we’ll try it again.

Food portion was small, food quality was alright. Big eaters don’t go here, you will be disappointed. I wanted to walk to jack in the box afterwards. I think it’s way too over priced. That’s how I felt about this place. Would I go back? Nope.

Very special. 20th anniversary and we were treated like royalty. VERY expensive but so worth it... highly recommend a special occasion at Chef Mavro's... Thank you Chef Mavro for the special meal!

Our dining experience at Chef Mavro was exceptional from the beginning to the end. The special Valentine's Day seven course dinner was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff took care of every detail and provided excellent service throughout the evening. I would highly recommend Chef Mavro to anyone in search of an exceptional dinner experience that is second to none!

Great place to go for a special occasion!

The food was amazing! We did the 9-course tasting menu, and, even though the portions seemed small, we left feeling very full! The foie gras, the egg osmose, and the wagyu steak were outstanding!

I was celebrating my birthday, so they even brought out a special dessert for me to celebrate.

Worth every penny. We had the Grand tasting menu, with added truffle risotto. From the very first dish, we could not believe the quality and complexity of flavour. We would recommend to anyone going to Honolulu.

This is THE place to go and create memories, we were there several years back and we were back for our anniversary two weeks ago. Each visit meet and go beyond our expectation. We opt for the tasting menu and it was superb, you never know food can taste so good! The ambience is good, we got a private corner all to ourselves, and the service is attentive and personable.
They even have our names print on the menu for us to take home! There were two servers waiting on us throughout the courses, explaining in details about each course and introduce the wine pairing to each course. You feel like you are being spoiled throughout the evening.

We tried 9 dish course menue. all dishes were very delicate and tasty.I especially enjoyed their signature dish with ann egg. They were flexible with changing to pescatarian dishes as I don't eat meat. I recommend with very special occasion to dine there.

Truly amazing. They small plate menu is a great idea and we thoroughly enjoyed the Onaga, truffle risotto, and the special malasada dessert made special for us. Worth the money!

Amazing experience with flawless food taste and presentations. We picked the tasting menu and everything we taste are so spectacular. We definitely are surprised and delighted. The only thing is it lasted for 3.5 hours long. Though I understand why we need space to refresh for every meal, but for us with kids it ended really late.

Well intentioned but not prepared for Christmas Eve. The tasting menu sent ahead of time was altered from the one provided at the table. The 6 courses took 3.5 hours to serve even though we arrived promptly for our table, as instructed by restaurant so as not to disrupt their flow. The first course took 45 Minutes after we were seated. Remaining courses came out irregularly. Servers seemed confused. A couple items were stellar, fish course and dessert, but goat cheese was frozen in the middle and chicken dish was blah.
