Very nice experience. We ended up sitting in the bar area even though we had a booth reserved in the main dining area. It seemed cozier and the noise level was less. Bartender was great! Informative and calm even though he had a lot on his plate he never seemed stressed! Drinks were amazing! Food was delicious and portions were right on:) Maneet delivered with the spice profile as I had hoped. Was for sure the highest we have paid for Indian cuisine in the area but to be expected with the recognition of a Top Chef such as Maneet. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience from start to finish!
Food was delicious! Would have liked it to be a little spicy. And the chairs are not very comfortable.
We were early for our reservation however sat at the bar and just stayed there. Food was amazing, especially the appetizers, Whipped Paneer and Short rod French onion naan.
Wait staff excellent. Kirsten was great.
Food excellent. Wine choice excellent.
This was a treat. I love Maneet! The short rib and French onion naan was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my LIFE!!
Amazing atmosphere. Great service! The food was absolutely amazing, as were the drinks. Would recommend to anyone. Definitely will eat there again, hopefully soon.
The food and service were both great! Our group of 6 all had great cocktails and food.
Outstanding food and service, generous portions, and cool vibe. Highly recommend!!
The Mussels in Goan curry appetizer is a must! I would have licked the bowl clean if no one was around.🤣
We celebrated my wife’s birthday. We ordered two cocktails, an appetizer, two entrees and a dessert. The food was great and we will be back. We look forward to trying more dishes in the future.
Very good restaurant and will definitely be back. Indian food is not one of my "go-to" ethnic foods, but Chauhan's was excellent. Maybe Indian food will become my new comfort food!
Server was top notch in knowledge of food and recommendations, but a bit forgetful (would have had at least two more drinks on our order had he remembered to bring them out for two of our folks). Biggest compliant was that parking was extremely pricey ($30). Found out later that you can park at Whole Foods.
My husband and I love food network. We were very excited to try this restaurant. We decided to go on our wedding anniversary. They sat us in the front at a high top table near the bar. I would expect walk ins to be sat in this section not a reservation especially for an anniversary. It was super noisy because we were in the bar. The server was extremely helpful. We went with his recommendations. The one dish he didn’t recommend we tried the pork belly and it was disappointing. The fat wasn’t rendered down and someone the whole the was quite tough and lacked flavor. The rest was very enjoyable and the spice queen did her thing. The drinks were very good and very expensive. The food was priced well for a fine dining experience. All together I would return but sit in the back in the booths and was definitely listen to the servers favorites.
One of my favorite restaurants in Nashville. The poutine is a must!
The food was amazing. It was our first time and the staff were incredibly helpful in telling us about all the items in the menu.
Always awesome food and drinks. Service was lacking this visit. Definitely will return, hopefully we’ll have a different server next time.
Amazing food! Server very slow with check. Did not offer drink refill
The entire staff was welcoming and very nice! We were vacationing and this was our “splurge” meal. The staff and the facilities could not have been more accommodating.
Maneet Chauhan is a culinary genius! This is my favorite restaurant in Nashville.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Food was delicious. A real treat to enjoy great Indian Flare.
Food was Brilliant!
We placed in bar area and had reservations...we should have been placed in dining area...bar is for walk ins
We loved it! The food is so different and amazing... the garlic shrimp with curry was delicious!
Our waitress was fabulous and even brought us champagne for our anniversary. I highly recommend!
Always a great meal with fabulous service. We love this place for special occasions. The staff is so helpful and the food is beyond amazing. We had to book resy weeks in advance and still was only offered early or late~ no in between. We had teens with us this occasion so it was fine on the early side. Maneet has outdone herself 💕
Absolutely FANTASTIC food. Of course Maneet doesn’t disappoint.
Great food and great overall experience. Our hotel concierge recommended and it did not disappoint!
We have always loved this restaurant but not anymore. The food was horrible and service was even worse.
Normally eat in the bar area, which is Awesome. However, my reservation was last minute and I was grateful to get it. Food was great. The place was packed. I was stuck back at a regular table. Lots of families and it was really noisy. However, as always a good dining experience
The food and service were excellent! The food in general is not spicy except for the one that denotes it on the menu. All were full of flavor!
We tried Chauhan last night for the first time. We are Indian food regulars, so went in expecting fireworks due to hype and the cost of the dishes. We left with mixed feelings on the experience. What stood out the most was the delicious sangria, the methi malai mac and cheese, and the gulab jamun cheesecake (likely the best dessert I've ever had, period). The curries were less impressive with no ability to customize heat level unless you add fresh green chillies to the dish, and those just overwhelmed the otherwise muted flavors of my curry. I found the menu to be limited, particularly in vegetarian options (which most Indian restaurants really shine at) and my saag paneer to be bland. My partner's chicken Tikka masala was underwhelming to him. Did not know about the validated parking at Whole Foods so spent $30 on parking after a nearly $200 meal (we were there less than 2 hrs). The atmosphere is fun, and the service was good (although we didn't get water refills until our bill came). Location is not a convenient one for a casual dinner if you don't live in the Gulch, and reservations are strongly encouraged, so be sure to plan ahead vs going for something willy nilly last minute. For me, Sitar is the gold standard of Indian food in Nashville and will cost half of your bill at Chauhan with no parking fees. I appreciate that Nashville has another Indian restaurant, but I will stick to Sitar for wider menu options, more flavorful dishes, free parking, and not such a hit to the bank account.
Holy Moses, that was delicious. We decided to sample our way through the menu with 2 cocktails, 2 appetizers, an entree, and a dessert. Literally couldn’t have ordered better if we had tried. Dominic helped us narrow our choices down, and I’m going to have DREAMS about that cheesecake. Love love love.
Simple menu, but really good food. We also had a very good waiter who helped us get in and out fast so we could make it to the Grand Ole Opry on time. Was a fun experience! We love Maneet on the Food Channel! TOC Champion! ;)
Vegetarian-friendly! 3 of us ordered curries and shared. Veggie Tikka Masala, Saag, Veggie Korma. Delicious. Ambience is fun and a bit loud but fine for a night out with friends. Got there early for our reservation so sat at a high top in the bar area and ended up eating there. Service was great too.
My family went in with high expectations because we are all big fans of Maneet Chauhan, and we were still totally blown away. The food and drinks were all amazing, the service was great and the ambiance was perfect. Will definitely return and check out her other restaurants.
Delicious, love that you can choose your protein with whichever sauce you want. Lots of options
Great service, unique and tasty food in a fun setting. Can't wait to be back.
Great food and service! Just sat at a high top in the bar with the sun shining in half of our faces at 6:30 so that was the only negative. There was no way to close the curtain.
Most of the dishes we had were excellent, especially the mussels and the artichoke pakora. We also really enjoyed the moilee curry sauce with shrimp. Our server was very helpful in describing the moilee sauce, one I was not familiar with, and what protein would pair best with it. However, the chicken items we ordered- the pakora and tandoori- were inedible. I don't understand why restaurants use the tasteless chicken breast anyway, but our 10 year old love chicken nuggets, and even he wouldn't touch the tandoori chicken. It was overcooked and tough. Our server took it off our bill when she saw that we had barely tasted it. I will definitely return, but I'll probably order entirely off the appetizer menu.
We had a great meal last night with 6 people. Considering we all wanted to try everything we ordered all the curries and all the proteins separate.
We mixed and matched to our hearts content and finally got full.
Great food and drinks. Our waiter was good considering what we asked of hm.
We all will go back anytime we are in Nashville.
Amazing food! Our server, Alex, had great recommendations for us!
I think the kitchen may have walked out or something? It was absolutely terrible food.
Canned beef gravy on undercooked, and old Naan bread.
Lamb nachos were a joke, and the pork belly over a bed of inedible kale that they prob bought at Kroger's was tough and inedible as well.
Something was seriously wrong the night we went.
We were not charged for our food however.
