This was a wonderful dining experience. We have never eaten Indian cuisine. Our waiter explained everything and made wonderful suggestions. It was so delicious. And we love Maneet!!!
I am a huge fan of Chef Maneet and was visiting for my Bachelorette party. My soon to be hubby and I watch many cooking shows and I just had to stop here being so close! It was delish! The Poutine app was fire and Brandon our waiter was very good at explaining things. The lamb was some of the most tenderness and flavorful I ever had. Recommend this place to anyone looking to experience some authentic Indian cuisine :)
Food was great!! Maybe a little pricey.
Food is amazing. We ordered way too much to be able to eat because everything was so good! Were seated at the bar while waiting for our table to be ready and that put the only damper on the experience. Bartender wasn’t really friendly, basic drinks weren’t good and over priced. Charged someone’s $78 dinner bill on card instead of one drink. Was fixed but overall started us off on a bad note. Our dining room server, however, was great. Very helpful, friendly and patient. Will absolutely come back if I’m in the area.
Great food and ambiance. Service was slow and waiter was not attentive.
Front of house was curt otherwise everything else was bang on
The food is creative and consistently great. I always enjoy eating here
If you're looking for a southern twist on Indian food Chauhan Ale & Masala House is the place. The food and service were both excellent. The portions were big enough to go home with lunch the next day. My party of four all left with half our food.
The restaurant, once it filled up with people, was very loud. The music could have been lowered and it probably would have gone unnoticed. The artwork was projected to the walls from projectors and changed.
I look forward to going back.
We went to this restaurant because of Maneet who won the best chef in the USA via Guy Fiero's Chef cookoff show the winter of 2021. Maneet won and we decided that when in Nashville in Sept we would visit Chauhan & Masala. Food was outstanding and the waitress help us pick the complementary curry for the shrimp and lamb we ordered. We had the Artichoke Pakoras and it was so delicious....the eggplant coconut chutney was amazing. We then had the braised lamb with the Saag (fresh green creamed spinach sauce) and the ginger garlic shrimp with the Moilee (southern Indian coconut milk curry). We died and went to heaven!!! Highly recommend this restaurant!!
Server was great (best of luck with the baby in November!)
Kristyn our server was terrific. She walked thru the menu and helped us pair the protein and the Curry. Food was wonderful as well. Five stars all around!
Extremely average and expensive Indian food. Nice people.
This is an amazing restaurant. The food and drinks are excellent. I loved all the items that were ordered. This space was very busy at 8:15 pm on a Saturday night, but it wasn't overly busy. I have no doubt that like everywhere the restaurant was understaffed. So with that, I will give much grace to our lack of service scenario. But the service wasn't what I would have expected as far as "being attentive" but the server did give great recommendations, and was trying, just stretched a bit thin. Again, I can't brag enough about the food. OMG LOVE IT ALL!!
This place was wonderful! My boyfriend and I celebrated our anniversary here and we had a wonderful night! We were created with two glasses of complimentary champagne at arrival. The cocktails were delicious. We also enjoyed some delicious appetizers and wonderful curries. The food was amazing! My boyfriend is from Indian, and he was pleased to taste so many familiar flavors. Our server Luis did an excellent job. I'm sure most places are understaffed at this point but he was on top of it and took great care of us! My only issue was the table seemed to be located right by a vent, because it was freezing cold the whole night. Otherwise, two thumbs up and high recommended!!
We went because of Maneet, but will be back because of the food. Simply amazing meal. Want to go back and try everything.
As always, great service and good food.
We had the greatest experience! We ended up ordering two appetizers and an entree. Everything was delicious. The sauce on the mussels was our absolute fave. Our waiter used the words "cult following" and didnt lie!
A wonderful place! Our server, Kirsten was amazing and very helpful with the menu. We did three main dishes (family style) for the 4 of us and still had left overs. Food was delicious. Ambience was great. Noise level was a little loud but a great night to have dinner with your girlfriends.
Amazing Favorite place in Nashville. Serving size are great and leftover for lunch just as amazing
We really enjoyed it and would definitely go again!
This place is AMAZING! My girlfriend and I made reservations for a Thursday date night at 7:15, arrived at 7, and were seated pleasantly and immediately. Our waiter was incredibly polite, helpful, and efficient.
Since we were on vacation, we weren't on our diets and we tried as much food as we could fit into our stomachs. I'd highly recommend the Tikka Masala Poutine and the Short Rib/French Onion Naan for sides, although everything we ate was delicious. I had lamb and she had shrimp for entrees and those were both fantastic. We even found room for dessert (cheesecake).
I came into this experience with high expectations, and those were blown away.
Food was amazing !
We made reservations quite sometime ago as we are huge fans of Maneet on Food Network. We were greeted nicely and seated next to a window. Our waitress was kind and helpful. Dioela was always willing to explain things to us. The nachos were amazing and our dinner was stellar.
one of the best Indian meals I have had in along time > would highly recommend it.
The service was good very friendly good value for money.
We went for our anniversary and the meal was excellent!
I was expecting to have a great meal but that did not happen. The poutine was pretty good but the chicken tikka masala was gross. It had no flavor, no heat, and severely lacked salt. The naan bread was completely burnt on the bottom and also lacked flavor. They had chicken but couldn’t fry it for the ‘fried chicken sandwich’ listed on the menu. We will definitely not be back.
Went for brunch and it was wonderful. Instead of ordering individual entree’s we order all the appetizers and enjoyed them all!
Great food, our waiter was delightful, neat ambience.
Not really impressed with the food - was bland and had no heat. Servers seemed dirty and service was lackluster.
I had much higher hopes for this place and was fairly disappointed- won’t return.
When we are in Nashville, we love to stop here. The variety of appetizers and desi fare are excellent, something for everyone (I haven’t found a dish I dislike). Their korma is incomparable. Great cocktails too.
Simply incredible. Vindaloo curry for a bit of spice, and the garlic parm naan is where it's at.
I’m happy to have had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant. The food was great. Started with the nachos. Great taste. They could have been warmer but overall, not a bad start. The mussels were a huge hit. That sauce was awesome. The pork belly was OK.
Entrees- Pork Chop and Tandoori Chicken Korma were very, very good.
Once your order is taken, the turnaround to table is relatively quick.
Our server was a cool guy, however, he had a lot going on and the finer details (water, ice) were lacking. He could serve me again with problems.
Definitely a place everyone should visit.
When in Nashville one does not think Indian food, but this is a must try.
The food was excellent and some of the best Indian I have ever had.
Good job Maneet and your staff, amazing experience
It was an amazing dinner. Service was excellent, food was top notch, and for the quality of food the price was spot on. I am sad we are from out of town because I would be eating here on regular basis if I lived any where close.
It was beautiful. Food was phenomenal. We haven't been in forever and I'm really glad we went back ah
Great food and service.
We really enjoyed our meal at Chauhan! The short rib naan was amazing!
I had the lamb chop and the wife had braised lamb, Both were cooked to perfection, moist and flavorful.
If you like Indian fusion this spot should be on your must visit list.
It was awesome! Everyone was pleased. Food was delicious.
Food was delicious with the exception of the steak which was ordered medium and served over cooked. Service was poor. We walked in at the same time as another couple. That couple was walking out the door finished before we were served our meal. From the time we sat to the time our food was served was one hour. I don’t blame the restaurant it was our server that dropped the ball. I expected a spectacular experience and was underwhelmed.
