Some of the best food I’ve ever had!
I had far better experience when I visited last time (couple of years back) most of the better appetizers were bot in the menu but shifted to her other restaurant. We ordered vindaloo which had no aroma and tasted more like ketch up. ( far cry from my last visit). Also we were there on Friday evening at 7 pm and they were out with couplw of nans - beers were served in a bottle not even a glass. Service was just ok, server never asked for second round if drinks or if we needed anything. Again, my last visit was fantastic and thats the reason we came here again(last time was two years back) disappointed
We came from TX and I was excited for months. No disappointment!! Food was awesome!!! Drinks were good. We had a great time!!
The food was amazing. The atmosphere was delightful. It was a great experience overall. I would definitely recommend.
Chef Maneet Chauhan is great, but I like her other restaurant Tansuo better. I was expecting more traditional Indian cuisine, but it's more of an American/Indian fusion that leans more towards American food. I thought it was all interesting and tasty, but had a few complaints. One is the Tandoori Chicken tasted boiled and unsalted, and it should have a smoky flavor from a special tandoor oven, so the sauce was the only good part and I felt like I overpaid here. The other curry was great, but also not traditional in taste. Her skills are much better experienced at Tansuo, but I'd give this place another shot and just try a different appetizer next time for lunch.
One of the best places in Nashville, we go at least once a month!
Food was amazing, wish the music was just a little bit quieter, hard to talk over.
We are fans of Maneet and absolutely had to come hear to eat! We were not disappointed, food was fantastic. Our waiter, Brandon, (pretty sure) was very attentive. Will be back next time we’re in Nashville.
Great service and attention by wait staff. I would definitely recommend this restaurant...it was one of my reasons to visit Nashville!!
The taste of the food was very poor for the price charged. Food was cold and even the naan tasted like frozen naan.
Incredibly loud and the food was just ok. I was super excited about the tandoori poutine, but it was mediocre - it was way too cheesy and the curds were melted and rubbery. All of our food came out not quite hot enough.
Great place to have Indian food. I had the lamb chops and they were delicious. Serving size was perfect.
Just an amazing meal.
The lamb was perfect.
The food authentic .
I was traveling - so I ate alone- would have been great to with a group and order many dishes to sample.
If I ever go back to Nashville- definitely coming back
This was our first experience at Chauhan’s. It was a wonderful experience. The waitress was knowledgeable and helped us decide on a combination. The flavors were amazing and some of the most well prepared food we have experienced. We have eaten many places but this was one of our favorites. Next time we are in Nashville, definitely headed back!
One of the best dinners we have had in a long time! Our server was AMAZING!
Food is excellent and the space is beautiful. I've eaten a lot of Indian food and was happy to try Maneet's twist on some classics. My wife and I brought my parents, who have not tried much Indian food, and they loved it. Don't miss the Hot Chicken Pakoras!
Food was excellent, service was even better. Loved it!
Received wrong dinner entree 2 times and correct one two times (hard to believe). Then they brought the wrong beer - by that time I just drank it. I figured they must have had all new staff or something. I ate after my date was done with his meal. Unfortunate.
We had an amazing time. We had the tandoori chicken puteen and shrimp goad curry, the gave us an amazing desert for our anniversary, could not have asked for a better night. I will say the chair were a bit uncomfortable, but beyond that everything was superb!!
Restaurant was very disappointing. Service terrible, cleanliness level was below any reasonable standard. The management was completely indifferent when my husband and I tried to give feedback. There are many great restaurants in Nashville. Chauhan Ale & Masala is definitely not one of them.
Good date night spot. Menu definitely smaller than our last visit. Tasty, well made Indian food but less exotic and interesting than prior menu with more selections. Good wine selection and cocktails were well made. Would definitely be back.
Overall good experience, friendly wait staff and excellent food
Food was fabulous… out of town vacationers. We will be back
Unbelievable food, service and atmosphere. It’s our favorite place to gather when the family drives up from Chattanooga!
Kirstyn provided excellent, attentive service. Food was so wonderful!
We loved everything we ordered. We loved the artichoke pakora, chicken moilee, daal makhani especially! I highly recommend this restaurant. It is delish!
Best food in Nashville. Everything was amazing, and the staff was so gracious and accommodating to our one year old.
My family loved this Indian restaurant with Southern flourishes. They're not always the biggest Indian food fans, but everyone loved this restaurant. One son thought it was his best ever. We had the night's special which was a perfectly cooked sirloin surrounded by Indian sauces. We also enjoyed the lamb korma, chicken bhuna and of course, chicken tikka masala. The naan was the only part that was disappointing. We had a couple of the garlic parmesan naan and they were slightly undercooked and neither crispy nor fluffy. We would definitely come back the next time we're in town.
Outstanding food and service!
Awesome food and service. Server very knowledgeable about menu. Brought out a dessert for my birthday that was amazing. Will be back for sure.
We had a fun dinner for 5 of us. All the dinners were very interesting and good. The cocktails were tasty and service was friendly and good. We will certainly come again.
So excited to visit Chauhan! Best Indian cuisine I have EVER had. The wait staff was friendly and broke down all the dishes and sauces in an easy to understand way (helpful for anyone that would be new to Indian food). The portions were large and super flavorful, well worth the cost. Appetizers, sides, and dessert all beautifully plated and tasty as well. Everything was well spiced; not hot spicy, but fragrant and added a real depth of flavor to all the dishes. We will visit every time we hit Nashville from now on!
Everything is always perfect. I love to bring and send out of town guests here. No where else will they get this experience. One of my favorites.
Yummy poutine , garlic Naan and shrimp curry. Service not super fast but we weren’t in a hurry and enjoyed our time. Big fans of Maneet but she wasn’t there 😞 Definitely would recommend even if you’re not big on Indian food
The quality and service were excellent as always. Dinner was the same high quality that we have always enjoyed here, but it seems like the cocktail program has gotten a jumpstart. Several really interesting options with top notch presentation and construction.
Excellent food! Service was a little scattered and our server didn’t seemed to forget about us…we never got one of our items. Overall, delicious. We will definitely try it again!
The food and the service was great. The nachos were very good and different.
