Food and service is always great hear. Sadly, they must have not notified Google and Open Table that they were closed. It was as quite as a mouse, with not another vehicle in sight. My fault for trusting the internet and not calling.
It was a group of family and friends that came together for a wonderful experience. Our server Jason was excellent and the food delicious. We did the tasting first and asked the winery to call the restaurant and ask if we could be a little late. They were able to do so. The winery staff Brad and the other staff members, some that we had met before, where we did the tasting, were so much fun and knowledgeable about their products and added a great time to our visit. I have brought family and friends to Chateau since I moved to the area in 1993 and always have a good time whether it be dining , lunch , dinner, Sunday music on the lawn, tastings, or picnics in the gazebo, we never get tired of them. Food and wine was excellent!! We went for our anniversary and the atmosphere was awesome with fireplace! Our waitress was friendly and gave us great suggestion on food!
Stellar food, service, atmosphere and wine. Jennifer, our server, was awesome!!!
I would definitely recommend Chateau Morrisette. We have been there numerous times and have never been disappointed. Food and wine are excellent!
It was our anniversary and everything was delightful!
Nothing to say. I personally enjoy going there.
Complex flavors at a great price. We loved it! Great views too.
Chateau Morrisette is our favorite place to dine and enjoy the food, wine and the mountains. The food is very good and service is outstanding.
What a wonderful experience! We love Chateau Morrisette and cannot wait to come back in May. Amazing, food, service and wine!
We went on Saturday, February 15 for their Valentine’s Day Puppy Love Dinner. The food was excellent. We had Oysters Rockefeller, Chateaubriand and Red Velvet cake for dessert. Everything was perfectly prepared. You could tell that the server was rushed but not to the point that it was irritating. What ruined the entire evening was that the room in which were seated had to be no more than 60 degrees. It was like sitting outside. You had to keep your coat on. The rest of the restaurant seemed to be warm. Either portable heaters should have been brought in or no one should have been seated in that room.
The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant was very romantic and suitable for Valentine's Day. The scenery was also beautiful and complimented the holiday.
Great Valentine’s Day dinner as always. We love our yearly tradition. Chateau Morrisette is amazing!
My wife and I had their Valentine dinner special. Excellent wine and food. Excellent service. Somewhat on the pricy side but enjoy the evening.
The food was all that. The wine was great. The waitress was great.
This was a last minute valentines dinner. So fortunate to get it. Truly floored with everything.
This was our first time going but definitely won’t be our last.
Never been disappointed with the fare at Chateau Morrisette. The atmosphere is superb and the food is out of this world. The portions do not leave you wanting. We didn't have room for dessert so we carried two pieces of dessert home to eat later. Looking forward to our next visit to the Chateau. Forgot to mention the wine. we tried a bottle of the 5 grape variety and it was excellent. We purchased a case before leaving and also some other items in the gift shop. Always a delight to visit Chateau Morrisette!
We come here every year and it never disappoints. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious.
Great dinner and service was excellent
Everything was great except that the food portions were very small for the cost that we paid for our meals. For the money that we paid, we could get the same quality in a regular meal portion instead of the very small portions at Chateau Morrissette.
Jason was our waiter and he did a great job!
Our favorite place for special occasions! The food is always exceptional! Good food, good view, good wine!
The food was wonderful and our server was awesome!
It took over 20 minutes at our table to get a server, but after she arrived she made up for it in spades! GREAT food and wine!!
This is our special place. Easy elegance.
Was great food with good company on my birthday
We mistakenly did not look further into the restaurant after finding it conveniently along the Blue Ridge Parkway around dinner time. Did not realize how fancy it would be, but overall not too impressed. Very limited menu options, especially for vegetarians, and even for non-vegetarians the few options were quite far-fetched. Service was alright but they did not check on us too much even on a quiet night. Also the host walked very fast and nearly ran me into another server; I noticed this was normal, as she would arrive at tables a good 10 seconds before other parties she was seating.
Extremely good service, the food was good but I would recommend something other then the duck. It was good but a little dry for me. Overall though great experience and will definitely be back soon!
We always enjoy our girl’s birthday celebration at Chateau.
Best brunch ever. Great atmosphere and service.
Csnt wait to go back when its warmer!
Wonderful and cozy dining atmosphere with cozy fireplace in dining room and main lobby area. A must do restaurant off the Blue Ridge Parkway!
This was the firat time that i have been to the restaurant and really enjoyed everything! Our waitress, food and beverages were absolutely wonderful!! Will definitely recommend to others and am already planning a trip back for the spring amd summer
We arrived with our out of town guests with a confirmed reservation and they were staff there but stated they were closed for day— no one had a explanation— the door said they were opened but the people were taking down decorations and did not have a clue what we went wrong and they went looking for a “Matt” but came back said said they could not find him but stated they he world call call me ——- he has not called me. — this reservation was made thru open table and confirmed the day before — very very embarrassing for us but bad for our guests— we also 2 other guests come up with same issue
New Year’s Eve multi course meal with wine pairings. Seated in a room that was so cold everyone was wearing heavy coats. Muse bouche was not good. Waitress was floundering. Pairings did not arrive with food. Once we were moved to a warmer dining area things improved, but pairing arrival was still off. Even with a bumpy start, the meal was quite good as was the dessert.
Lovely, cozy atmosphere, nice staff and tasty food menu for New Year’s Eve! We love their wine, it’s our favorite in this area! Thank you!
This is one of our favorite places to go. However, I believe the restaurant was a bit overwhelmed that night. It took fifteen min to be seated even though we had reservations. The dining room we were in was very drafty and chilly. There were employees who changed the thermostat at least four times but still didn’t help. We saw at least three tables of guests be moved to another room. Took a long time to get our food. The pork and beans was just ok because the sausage was dry. The lamb chop was luke warm so we sent it back for another one. It also had a lot of fat. The waitress was definitely overwhelmed. She took our order and then came back thirty minutes later to write it down again because she lost it. Then she couldn’t remember if we got our entree or not. We were disappointed with the overall experience but it may not keep us from coming back.
Went there New Year’s Eve with some friends. The food was divine the staff was awesome and overall it was absolutely wonderful. I would highly recommend!!
We had a lovely evening for New Years. The food was delicious and portions were generous. Thank you for a great evening
As always, the food was incredible and the staff fantastic. By far one of my favorite places to eat!!
We always enjoy Chateau Morrisette, a lovely dinner, a table near the fireplace., and careful service.
