    The lunch for the five of us was fabulous! The wines, appetizers, entrees and desserts we had were all rave worthy. Although the day was rainy and foggy (we certainly missed the beautiful view), the atmosphere on the inside was wonderful. Our waitress was also outstanding. The restaurant is still in the soft reopening stage so not filled and made us feel that the restaurant (we were in a dining area to ourselves) was ours alone.

    Always a treat to have dinner at Chateau Morrisette! Outstanding location with views to delight all diners. Food options are good, with something to satisfy anyone’s taste or diet preferences. Of course… then, there is the wine! After all, this is a restaurant at a winery.

    The first time I went to the winery was in the 1990s and was very excited when they opened the restaurant and much more now that they have reopened it. Didn't understand why they didn't post the menu online that wasn't a major disappointment. The menu is very streamline 6 appetizers 2 salads 6 entrees. We went at 2 o'clock in the afternoon for lunch. They used to open for lunch closed down and reopen for dinner with 2 separate menus. In my opinion the lunch menu was more dinner: trout, stuff chicken, ravioli and I forget the other 3.There were no sandwiches or lunch items. So we ordered from the appetizer and salad. The Caesar salad was wonderful, the French onion soup was to die for and the avocado toast especially the salmon was amazing. Our server was delightful and personable and if we could request her the next time we go I would. I guess with everything now adays the prices have gone up but the lunch menu with the range of from $20+ to almost $30 was more than we expected.

    The Pumpkin Sage Ravioli was delicious. I did note that other tables were given bread and ours wasn’t but that wasn’t a deal breaker. The food was delicious!

    This is my favorite date night restaurant. The food is the best I’ve ever had. Everything I have eaten is full of flavor. The waitstaff is top notch. Beautiful scenery.

    Oh my. Once again, the food was simply amazing - as always. The stuffed chicken dish was to die for. Paired with a CM Pinot Grigio - just perfect! Love the views too. Will always have Chateau M on my list of 'go-to' restaurants for special occasions.

    My daughter in law and her husband met us at the restaurant. We had reservations. Each of us ordered something different. Each meal was delicious!!! The staff was friendly, and very accommodating!! We will go back soon. My husband and I have a cabin off the Blue Ridge Parkway and it is only 7 miles to Chateau Morrissette. We are looking forward to going back soon!!

    The main course was delicious. Disappointed in the Caesar salad. Would have liked it to come out before the main dish and it was tasteless. Dessert was also delicious

    We were graciously welcomed. Our table on the terrace, as all tables do, had a sweeping view of the mountains and winery below. The food options are varied and the quality and presentation could not be better.

    We had a beautiful lunch on the veranda with a spectacular view. The food, service and ambiance were amazing. I have been coming here for years and the reopened restaurant is fabulous. I highly recommend a visit.

    Chateau Morrisette is nothing like it used to be. The food was not great and the menu needed more selection. We were shocked there was no steak of any kind on it. We only saw people sitting at 3 or 4 tables but did see people try to come in to eat but were turned away, I’m not sure how or why they stay open for that few guests, On a positive note the server was excellent. We Will not be returning.

    # 1 Do Not Show up without a Reservation !! You will be turned away Even tho I saw many open tables. The Food is Very Nice Awesome Service, the delivery was a bit slow. The Menu is small but nice NO Sandwiches felt this to be a bit odd as we were just wanting a Nice Lunch but had to have Larger Dinner Style Meals. The Apps are $$ for what they are. The Ribs were WOW !! Shrimp and Grits WOW. So Over all Great Food Super Excited to see them back open, just hoping for some smaller "Lunch" Options.

    Location, view and service are outstanding. Kitchen is the weak link at the restaurant. Foods are not seasoned well, vegetables are undercooked e.g. potatoes have hard center. Presentation is mediocre. Needs a chef with inspiration and taste buds.

    Ambience and wonderful mountain views. The food was spectabulous!!!. The service was great! The quality of the food and the experience far exceeds the cost….which is crazy reasonable by the way. We greatly look forward to returning soon!

    This is our first time back since they reopened. Had friends over and the 4 of us had dinner last night. My wife had the trout which she thought was great, Our guests both ordered the ravioli and really liked it. I had the ribeye and thought it was very average. Not seared well and lacked flavor. All in all, we were very pleased. We will return and appreciate them opening back up and hope they have a very long run.

    We had an awesome dinner and will definitely be back! We had the brussel sprouts, mussels, rib eye and the duck and they were all fantastic! It was also nice that they offered additional Virginia wines- we live nearby and visit the winery often so being able to try something new was great! The patio was beautiful, it did get a little dark towards the end of our meal since we had a later reservation so maybe check sunset times before deciding on inside vs. outside!

    The food was pretty good, but the service was terrible. We had a reservation at 7:30, and were seated by 7:45 - which was fine. We received our food by 8:15 and finished eating by 8:30. We never saw our waiter after the meal was dropped off, he never once checked on us. My wife wanted to order a second glass of wine and hopefully dessert. After sitting at our table outside for 35 minutes after we had finished eating, we decided to leave. No one had checked on us to ask how the food was, or if we needed anything else, or if we would like our check. We found all 3 of the waitstaff counting tips, closing checks, and chatting together at the front desk. We drove from Roanoke and this was our first experience here. Hopefully this was a very unusual, off night. We didn’t feel valued at all.

    Good food. Wine is good and reasonably priced. The view and grounds are absolutely gorgeous. They have a vegan option, which I appreciated. Maybe a vegan option with protein would be good, but the cauliflower was good. Fried brussel sprouts were amazing and the caesar was huge.

    This was our first trip back since CM reopened and we were excited to see if things were as good as we remembered from pre-Covid days. They did not disappoint. Every aspect of our patio sunset dinner was superb from the appetizers to the entrees, wine, dessert, and general ambiance. The service was impeccable. We can't wait to go back!

    We have been CM fans for years and are sooooo excited the restaurant has reopened. It is such a gorgeous place! Gunarzs (sp?) is the manager and he was wonderful. His brother Ocsy, the chef (sp?) did a fabulous job. The 6 of us were very happy and will be going back!
