I have been to Charm a good few times and it doesn't disappoint. Food was very tasty and portion sizes good. Their rose wine is delicious and the only complaint was there were no cocktails available as the "cocktail maker" was on holiday... he's been on holiday a long time! So please Charm, getting another person in who can make cocktails as the previous chap made the best. We were in the restaurant a good three hours and had three courses each and the bill per person as £35... very good value for money and as I said e food was delicious. Their Menu is extensive enough for all tastes.
Highly recommended! I would definitely go back there again.
Great service with a smile, brilliant Obedience and fantastic tasty food.... thank you for the Birthday surprise!
Food was really good very fresh and authentic. The main courses took some time to come but when they did you could tell they were freshly prepared so you didn't mind the slightly longer wait. Would recommend just get a few extra drinks in between courses.
This is my favourite Thai restaurant in London. I've been coming on and off for many years. The food is always authentic and made with fresh ingredients. The service is always friendly. If you like your food spicy, ask for it to be made 'authentic Thai spicy', but the default spice level is delicious and has just the right amount of tingle to make things interesting :-) Highly recommended.
Been coming to Charm for lunch for the last couple of years. Highly recommend it whether you're looking to grab a quick lunch or a sit down with friends.
Friendly staff, authentic Thai dishes and good selection of lunch offerings (including vegetarian options).
Thank you and see you again soon.
Think Shaghai speak-easy - deco decor and large tables, white cloths mean that it feels like a treat to go here. Good food and pricing thereof. Wine a bit more expensive than it might be. Slightly slow service, and they need some music playing to add some ambience, but would return.
This was our first time at this restaurant on a Saturday night, there was only four people dining in the restaurant. The restaurant was decorated very well, our starters were okish, the starter dish of pork, looked like it was made days ago and was not fresh. The mains was much better as we informed the waiter in advance that we didn't want food that was stale and old, and that we new our pork dish was not made freshly, and wanted fresh dishes. It is a shame this could be a nice restaurant if they didn't cut corners and give food which was not made freshly. Would not go again. Charm please spend more time making your dishes the best and you won't go wrong.
i go there once a week on my own or with friends, always excellent food and service. Love sitting outside.
Extremely disappointed with the Charm as there was water leaking from the ceiling and few feet away from the date I was hoping to impress. The man who served us spoke poor English so we didn't understand much of what he said & the place was dead, only 1 other occupied. It gave for a flat atmosphere & and unimpressed couple.
Good Thai food including nice dim sum, decent stir frys and not too pricey wine options.
However, Charm was quite deserted so ambiance was not good. Nice expereience
Very good food, service and value. Nice ambience, crisp white tablecloths, good quality appropriate wine glasses etc. Recommend for business or romantic meal
This was our first time here and an overall good experience. We'd anticipated a larger selection of cocktails, which, although limited, was still good (Lychee Mojito). Food was fresh and good, the duck rolls crispy and the pad Thai very tasty. Service was alright, although some of the waitresses didn't speak much English. Overall the experience was average, mostly due to the service and atmosphere, whilst the food was actually very good.
My girlfriend and I visited Charm on a Saturday night at around 7.45, after booking a table. When we arrived, we were shown to a table that is in the part of the restaurant where you first walk in. Since all of the other guests were sat in the other, more ambient side, we decided to sit and wait till there was a table available there. We were sat waiting for about ten minutes, which was slight longer than expected. We were eventually shown a table in the main part of the restaurant, which was small even for two people, but nice however. The service was very attentive. One of the female waiting staff was stood near our table most of the time, and facing us. She came over and refilled our wine glasses on multiple occasions, which I thought was very professional and a nice touch.
We waited a very long time for our food to arrive unfortunately, and when I asked about this, we were told it was due to there being a party on a neighbouring table. This was my only disappointment. When the food eventually arrived, it was delicious and of a very high standard!
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, due to the quality of the food, the inside is very nice and the atmosphere was good. They also had a very good wine list and cocktail list, which we were very impressed by.
I'd definitely come back to Charm, but next time I hope the service is a bit quicker.
We arrived 15minutes before our booking time, and restaurant was closed when we tried the door. However the chap opened the door and showed us to our table. We were going to a show at the Appolo and mentioned we wouldn't have long. The food came out quickly I had the prawns but wanted them in soy sauce not oyster sauce as stated and they were really tasty. The staff were very nice. Would go again.
Had a really good evening out here. The highlight of the restaurant is the staff!
The food here was amazing, cooked to perfection and the best flavours used very very well.
Tasted fresh and was sad when we finished
I have been here a few times, and have always been happy with the food & service. The prices are not cheap, but decent, and the rice portions this time were bigger than previous occasions which was good! I will be back again soon! :)
I have been here twice and the food has always been very nice & tasty.
The prices are a bit expensive, and the rice portions are too small. also a glass of their house red wine eventhough it was good was not even filled near the top of the glass, only halfway.
However, I would visit again but only on special occasions as i feel its best suited for that.
Beautiful, intimate restaurant, food was amazing service was good. Celebrated a 50th birthday with a booking of 22 people which was acommodated, would definitely visit again.
Lovely Thai restaurant food fresh and nicely prepared. Quiet restaurant when we were there. Would go back again.
One of the best Thai restaurants in London, in my opinion. Excellent service, amazing food, and the restaurant itself has great ambience and decor.
Really charming restaurant.... we had a very splendid meal here and will certainly be going back; service friendly and attentive but not intrusive, Menu was varied and gave lots of good options including vegetarian. The dishes were well presented and delicious.
Was Great, Lovely food!
Have not really had alot of Thai food but this place from the welcome to the goodbye its all good and friendly. live the location not in central so can drive and not far so can visit the capital.
To finish off i would recommend a visit to Charm.
Very good quality and choice excellent wine list and cocktail menu thai favourites along with regional specialities
We discovered this gem of a restaurant a few years ago, and it has become not just our 'go to' Thai restaurant but our 'go to' for any special occasion. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is always friendly and welcoming. It takes us the best part of an hour from where we live to get to this restaurant, but we keep going back, and will continue to do so. Highly recommended.
attentive staff, great flavours, we had the set menu for £30 , loved the large prawns. appeared good quality meat in the stri fry. Better than any central london thai restaurant and worth the journey out of central london.
This was my second visit tithe restaurant and they didn't disappoint. Planned a surprise birthday for my husband and we had the best time ever. All our friends loved the restaurant, the food and service. They all would like to return. Thanks to all the staff that helped to make my husband's celebration so memorable. Love you guys. Highly recommended. Try it, you won't be disappointed.
Very good service, loved the decor as was perfect for a romantic date!
I am so surprised that we were the only diners in the restaurant. It was a Sunday evening and other restaurants nearby were buzzing. It's such a shame as the food was so tasty and the service was great. I can't fault them. Perhaps the need to do something about their signage which isn't eye catching and does not befit the restaurant. The decor is nice but won't be to everyone's taste. It's such a shame they don't get more diners because the food is absolutely delicious!
Please try it you won't be disappointed.
Went to charm on a Saturday night. Restaurant was almost empty. The food is good (but not great) while the place has no ambiance and is decorated like a strip club. The service was poor with the waiter barely speaking English.
This is a lovely restaurant and the decor is quite opulent and atmosphere is welcoming. The food was delicious - I had duck spring rolls for starters and for the first time no oily fingers! The casing was crisp and light and tasty. Main was the green curry and that was delicious - you can have your curry as spicy as you want and a friend had the yellow curry with tiger prawns and I was so envious as the prawns were huge and meaty! Service was a bit slow for us especially getting our cocktails but as there were 6 of us it really was a problem as we were enjoying ourselves so much. I will definitely go back again.
We have been to Charm several times and have never been disappointed. The ambience and decor of the restaurant are amazing with an genuine Thai feel. The food and service are very good too. The set menus offer outstanding value for those on a budget.
A gem near Ravenscourt Park Station with a last minute booking. Has authentic thai dishes [*authentic heat] & flavours. Notice that the menu is in 2 sections; see the later section for a more interesting selection. Polite & humorous staff. Try a selection of starter dishes to share. Nice interior decor.
We had a lovely meal. There was 6 of us and we all enjoyed our food very much.
The restaurant was quite, but then again it was a Sunday evening.
We would go again.
Poor service, took over half an hour just to get our drinks order in. Same with the food, people who came after us gettin served before us. They were not prepared staff wise for Valentine's Day.
We had a lovely evening at Charm. For a Valentine date, the place looked apprpriately named. Food was good. Selection is a bit more limited than other Thai we have been but what we had was good. Yellow prawn curry reminded me of some of the good ones in Sheik O in Hong Kong. Service was slow and a few of the patrons around us were complaining. Staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with only 2 waitresses for about 40 customers.
The food at Charm is excellent and a cut above any other Thai restaurants around. The wine list is good value too. It sometimes lacks atmosphere and is quite empty (we wonder if the neon lights outside put people off) so we were pleased there were quite a few full tables on this occasion.
We went to Charm on New Year's Eve and loved it. The food is delicious, some of the best Thai we have eaten in London. I've visited Thailand and it's nice to find a restaurant which serves some other dishes other than the usual standard green and red curries. The service was excellent we were not at all rushed yet did not feel neglected. I liked the decor, however the restaurant was quite empty. I'm not sure why this was, although this personally didn't put me off (as we weren't totally alone) but I can't understand why on earth this restaurant isn' t busier!
