Disappointed that the waitress asked if I wanted another glass of wine, suggested one & I accepted. $15 a glass, really? Didn’t know until I got bill. There were plenty of other options far less. Food was outstanding.

My wife and I had a wonderful dining experience at the Chesterfield location. Great location just off Highway 40/64 on Olive Boulevard. Plenty of parking. We had reservations and actually were seated a little early in a very nice half-moon shaped booth. Our server (Stephen) was excellent; very friendly, helpful and professional. Since we are Rewards members, we had a free appetizer on our account and we chose the Arancini. Very Nice. My wife had the 8 oz. Filet and Shrimp special and I had the Veal Nunzio. Both were excellent! I also ordered a Caesar Salad and it was huge! Plenty for 2 people. Good selection of craft beers and wine. On our way out, we could not resist getting 2 scoops of Gelato to go. Great selection here too. We highly recommend Charlie Gitto's from the Hill.

We love going to Gitto's for our annual Valentine's dinner. It is one of the few places that does not over-pack for the holiday. We never feel rushed in spite of it being a very busy dine-out night.
They also are good at accommodating any special requests you might have. On this occasion we had to wait about 15 minutes even though we had a reservation. But, then we found out it was because we had requested a quite table out of the main traffic and they were waiting for that perfect table to free up.
Great service - the staff is amazing! They work together to back each other up and to make sure you are never waiting on your waiter.
At other times of the year, we have stopped in at the bar for a quick bite and glass of wine. The service there is no less than that in the dining area.

We dinned on Valentine’s Day evening. Although the restaurant was very busy, our waiter Mark was OUTSTANDING! We will definately be returning again and requesting to have Mark as our waiter-the food was delicious as well.

Food was excellent and waitress was very good. Was puzzled by value of gift cards. We’re told value of cards were $100 a piece over the phone but waitress said they were worth only $50 a piece. Cards were black

We always enjoy an evening at Charlie Gitto's From the Hill. We had the grouper special, toasted ravioli (best ever), calamari, and then a slice of delicious birthday cake. You can count on a good experience there.

Food was good but overpriced. I thought it was pretty amazing that the restaurant was deserted and they seated me adjacent to a giant group party where people were standing around, drinking, and conversing. Literally any other table in the place would have been less disruptive to both me and to the group.

Server was efficient but quite pretentious.
Entrees are too expensive to not come with a side that isn’t just a decoration.
Tables are too close together, it is hard to leave your table without bumping into people seated next to you

The food is always good, and our server, Teresa was excellent. My only complaint is the noise level. Wish the restaurant could be reconfigured so the dining rooms were more separate rather than one large area.

Although we had a reservation we had to wait 45 minutes... Even though we were 5 minutes past happy hour they would not give us a break on drinks while we had to wait 45 minutes for our table... we joked that it was a scam to get us to spend about $75 on alcohol. Even though I left the bartender $15 and said keep the change for my last drink, a staff member came to our table and said either I didn't pay or they lost the money. The food was all meat and had one tiny piece of cauliflower so I would have preferred a little more veggies on my plate instead of just a plate of meat. The atmosphere was just okay. It was my first time here and I was not very impressed. I won't be coming back again there are too many other restaurants to try.

Always a great meal at Gitto's. The place is well run, responsive, clean place and good menu selection. We love the waiters we get. A hidden secret is that their pizza is outstanding. Every other time I am there I get a pizza. Too good to pass up. I highly recommend this place for lunch or dinner. Desserts are good too -

Previous visit was excellent food and service. So, upon our return we were disappointed in this experience which can be attributed to a poor waiter. Wrong cocktails, slow receiving bread and poor advice on spitting portions. Also, very noisy. If you'd like to call us, that would be fine. 636-532-4406. John and Mary

Not knowing that the bar only had bar tables with high chairs, the host was very accommodating to change our reservation to a table for us in the dining room as we had a senior who would not be able to be comfortable in that setting. Food was presented perfectly and was delicious, especially the veal lemonat! Tony was great and we appreciate his putting up with our family who tended to linger on what turned out to be an extremely busy night at Gitto's.

My wife, eleven-year-old daughter and I had dinner together. The service was quick, but not rushed and appropriately attentive. We had the garlic cheese bread and the toasted ravioli as appetizers. The bread was good. The ravioli was lackluster—I would not have it again. My wife and I shared the pear salad. They conveniently split the salad for us, which was an extra touch that we appreciated. I had a red snapper special. The first was cooked well, but the house made pasta was very bland and disappointing (although cook al dente at it should be). My daughter had chicken Alfredo, which she enjoyed. My wife enjoyed her petit filet with crab, which was cooked perfectly to her request. We had a carrot cake and a chocolate cake, both of which we quite good, and a coconut cake that was so-so. The food was good, but not outstanding given the price point. Great service and nice, quiet atmosphere though, so a solid value overall.

Quality food at decent price with a large menu selection. Good decor, cool bar area while you wait or to eat and drink. Restaurant is not quiet, but not to where you had to raise your voice to be heard at your table. We will go again.

I have been there during the week and the food was excellent. This was a Friday night and it seems like since they knew they were going to be so busy they had everything pre-prepared, the toasted ravioli was mushy, sent it back and it still came out hotter but still mushy . The pasta dishes were mediocre at best. $40 for a $13.99 bottle of wine at Total Wine is ridiculous for a neighborhood restaurant. SO disappointed, bragged about the restaurant to the friend I took with me and she would never go back.
