Service was exceptional...Andrew did a great job! Food was great! It was a Saturday evening before Christmas, so it was very busy and most tables were larger parties. Thus the noise level. Hard to have conversation without shouting. But overall very good!

There was a very large party (20 +/- people) near our table and they were enjoying themselves as they have every right to do, but they were quite loud and it made it hard for our table conversation. They left, however, within 30-40 minutes after we were seated. Yet our service was well below expectations and it took some time for our food to be brought to table. My wife loved her salmon but found her french onion soup rather bland. My meal was quite acceptable as was that of our guest. Overall, a mediocre experience and we're not going to be rushing back anytime soon.

We celebrated my husband's birthday. They made it very special with a huge piece of cake that was delicious. Dinner was excellent. It is one of our favorite places to dine. Our server, Dylan, was very professional and friendly.

Our server was absolutely amazing. I am gluten intolerant and she took such great care of me that I actually didn’t get sick after the meal. First time ever that I didn’t get sick from a restaurant meal. Truly great service!

We thought the food was excellent. A server spilled four glasses of water and broke the glass on the table and the water went all over one of the guest at my table. We were notcompensated in anyway which I felt was Negligent. I feel they could’ve offered at least a free dessert to my guest that got the water all over her pants. Other than that, the evening was good. We didn’t finish our evening as planned because your pants were wet when we left.

Everything was wonderful,except I booked the reservation on open table for 445pm and then found on that we may be 10-15 mins late due to travel. I also mentioned that we frequent customers of the restaurant. My call was over 45 mins ahead to let restaurant know, and I was treated very rudely. I was told over the phone by manager that they were booked and they would not be able to accommodate us.until after 730pm.I felt that manager had no concern for us. I told the restaurant I would have somebody there and keep our reservation until the entire party arrives. we I arrived at 440pm to secure our place. There was only a few tables occupied and no one was waiting out front. Our entire party was seated by 500, and I noticed there was plenty of empty tables in restaurant over the next hour and a half.

Got upcharged on a side dish. I hate when they don’t tell you about that and it just shows up on the bill. Feels wrong to me.

We went here for our anniversary. We were very pleased overall with the quality and service. At the time we went, our waitress was covering for another who did not come in, so the service was a little slow, but we were in no hurry. The toasted ravioli appetizer was soft and delicious. The salmon and filet mignon were both excellent. I ordered the marsala sauce with the filet, which wasn't needed as the filet was flavorful and tender without the sauce, which seemed a bit on the salty side. We split an order of potato gnocchi between us which was lovely. Salads were flavorful and crisp. Their signature cake that is given gratis for birthdays and anniversaries was tasty, but I would have preferred to order gelato. That wasn't an option the evening we were there as our waitress was overwhelmed and did not get back to us before the cake was presented to us.

We took our friend out for her birthday and boy did we have a wonderful time! Our server was fantastic, food was delicious, and everything came in a reasonable time frame. I recently had major knee surgery and am in a wheelchair and they were so accommodating! Love this place and highly recommend!

Theresa was our server and was outstanding. We had several in our party requesting special dishes / treatment which Theresa handled with a smile and great efficiency and...accurately! She checked frequently if we needed anything but did not "hover.."She was outstanding!!!

Food excellent...properly prepared...served hot...outstanding experience.

We came in excited for a nice dinner since this place had a ton of good reviews and the original location is a staple in STL. We made a 8:00pm reservation (knowing the restaurant closes at 10:00). From the moment we sat down our server, Nick, was rushing us the entire time. He probably touched our table truly 10 times and we were there for less than an hour. Not five minutes after the entrees were delivered he was already trying to take them away. The entrees overall were sub-par. The lobster ravioli was all cheese and the the scallops were over cooked. The meatball appetizer was the best part but the service and the quality of the food wasn’t worth the bill. On the way out a manager asked how our meal was and told her it wasn’t that great, she didn’t seemed to concerned and walked away. Not sure if there is a lack of training or inexperience in management, but either way we won’t be back. What a shame

Tasteless sauce on saltimbocca, other white sauce entrees were the same. Seems they did away with classic Italian in favor of blandness-excepted-by-all. The Portobello Mushroom appetizer was tough and just smothered with tomato sauce to hide any flavor and texture of the mushroom. The chicken Marsala was also without an Italian flavor. The preparation was mediocre. The espresso coffees were not made with authentic espresso coffee and tasted more like a Starbucks espresso alternate fufu coffee concoction. The lemon peel for the coffee was dry and looked like it had been sitting around for a few days instead of being peeled for this occasion. The Calamari was mushy and tasteless. Don't think that is what it was. I used to go to Charlie Gitto's on the Hill, and went to the one in Chesterfield several times in the past and the food was fantastic. Maybe the Chesterfield restaurant is dumb downing their ethnic Italian cuisine in favor of their interpretation of American cuisine with fast food appeal. If that's the case forget it. I'll stick with Charlie Gitto's on Shaw Ave.

First visit with a group of 5 for a birthday celebration. Food was delicious, service great from our waitress to the kitchen staff delivering food to the table. All were very friendly. Lovely more upscale decor; a pleasant change from so many super casual dining establishments. Don't let that deter you, guests were business casual to dressy. They have the nicest presentation of a birthday dessert ever! We will definitely be back again.

Good food. Pomodoro sauce is very good. Service was excellent very helpful but they don’t hover.
Note that if you look at the gelatos in the case, they offer free sameplea on your way out. Made for an excellent palate cleanser!

We were celebrating our 54th wedding anniversary. My wife has a unique allergy & requires particular attention in food prep. The food manager (Katie?) was extremely helpful & understanding in making recommendations for my wife & in seeing to it that all went smoothly. Thank you all so much in making our anniversary a memorable one.

Very expensive for a mediocre meal. Everything was a la carte. Pasta was over cooked, yet cool.

One of my favorite St Louis restaurants. When in town we always go there for our Italian cuisine fix. My husband adores the eggplant nepolian and their chopped salad is outstanding. We usually leave with a box of their Italian cookies too. I recommend anything on the menu!

This restaurant is a must-stop on any St. Louis visit. If you cannot make it to The Hill, go to Charlie Gitto's on the Hill Chesterfield! The food is wonderful, the staff attentive, and the ambiance fitting for the meal.
