This restaurant serves the best filet mignon we’ve ever had. The side dishes are big enough to share for two people and the service is excellent. I normally don’t rate restaurants with five stars unless they are far superior to other restaurants and this one certainly is. It is expensive but well worth it, especially for a special occasion.
Rogan, our waiter, was very good. A different server, however, brought "our" dinner to the table and said, "Enjoy." He looked extremely surprised when I asked about my meal...as he had only brought my husband's. Eventually, Rogan came over and said my meal would be out momentarily. Well, it eventually was served...12 minutes later! It was very awkward, with my husband's food getting colder and colder. The manager served my meal, offered to heat up my husband's meal, and brought hot veggie replacements. But, by then, our enjoyment was ruined.
Service was wonderful - attentive and prompt.
Cocktails and food were great. All a bit of a surprise in a town and area with so much tourist traffic. Recommend.
My oldest son wanted to take us here while we were vacationing in Florida ! We were celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. He heard about this place and wanted to try it ! When we are in Florida again we will come back ! The cuts of meat were delicious and melted in your mouth ! We had the wagyu beef, porter house and the filet mignon ......all so good ! The lobster Mac & Cheese and fries as side choices were good too. We were adventurous and tried the gator appetizers and taste like chicken :) Key Lime Pie was to die for ! Malik and Nancy were awesome !
Our trip to Universal
Will recommend Charley's to anyone and everyone. Truly ranks among the best meals of my life.
We were looking for a nice dinner out and chose Charley’s over Ruth’s. Very glad we did.
We appreciated the complimentary valet parking, and that the valet walked us to the entrance with an umbrella. Nicely appointed decor reminded us of numerous other premium steak houses we had been to, so we were pretty comfortable. One difference was the oak fire grill that was covered in what seemed to be a large order of porterhouse cuts.
We were a few minutes late for our reservation due to the rain and everyone fleeing Disney, so we went to the bar. My wife said her lemon drop was excellent, but they were ready to seat us even before the drink came.
We split a bowl of lobster bisque, which was delicious, but not heavy. It seemed to have a little touch of cayenne on the way down, but was not spicy at all.
The shareable bacon cheddar mashed potatoes and mushroom sides were good, but pretty normal for a good steakhouse.
Very nice selection of cuts to choose from. I like Pittsburg char and our hostess was kind enough to talk me out of it since the “char” would contain ash from the oak. I went with a heavy sear filet and lobster tail. My wife opted for the bone in ribeye. Both were cooked perfectly, and had a smooth, smoky flavor that went well with the taste of the meat.
The lobster grilled was much better than any broiled I have had. The drawn butter over candle heat started warm but never hot.
No room for desert. Had to go back to reality and pick up 3 basketball players who needed to get some sleep.
My wife and I have celebrated our wedding anniversaries with Charley's for awhile and it always delivers great food, great service and they show their appreciation. Great management awesome job guys!
I felt that the overall experience was very nice. We had a wonderful server, a manager checked on us, the table was beautiful but I felt the steak was a bit overcooked. I wanted it pink in the middle but not bright pink and it was ok tasting but the overall experience of the restaurant was super. A bit disappointed with the choices of desserts.
Everyone from the moment we walked in the door was so polite and treated us as royalty. My husband has a service dog and they didnt treat us any different. Some places have.
Had drinks at the bar to begin..outstanding service, outstanding drinks. Went in for dinner. Ordered the 20oz filet and the Wagu ribeye as well as the seafood mixed grill. Wagyu steak was out of this world. Filet was ordered medium rare, but was closer to medium. Still delicious. Mixed grill was very nice. Sides and salad were great. The service did not match the food. Disappointing. For instance, the food was delivered, but we did not see the waiter or helpers until well after everyone was finished. They need to train their waiters.
Service was terrible
This place is overrated! Food is just ok for the price. Ocean Prime is a MUCH better high end Restaurant.
This has to be the best dining service I have ever had. Nothing beats this place. Service and food are second to none. I have eaten at all the best steak houses around the world and nothing beats Charlie’s. Every time I come to Orlando it’s the first place I eat at. The person who recommend my wine is a true professional and I hadn’t taste wine that good in years. Can’t wait to go back.
Went for a birthday, was the best service and meal
Most enjoyable evening. The waitress has excellent manners that can be copied by any manager. The ambiance was just right. The steak still memorable. The Madagascar shrimp was nice but nothing like the one that was demonstrated at first. The pre-consumption presentation is an excellent idea! The wine choices will satisfy almost any pallet. The exposed in door grill and the wall lined with bottles is a neat feature. Eat here then tour Ripplies B/N or vice versa; save yourself the parking hunt. Currently the entrance is being renovated but it seems it will add luminosity to the facia. Visit at least once but come hungry and prepare to spend $$ on some really good food.
The T Bone was amazing! Full of flavor! Get the lobster mac. You’ll thank me later! We’ll be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Charleys. It was our first visit, and we wanted to dine somewhere special for our daughter's 30th birthday.
We were welcomed graciously, and everyone there was friendly and helpful. The food was outstanding!
Our server, Nil, was the best! She was gracious and patient and made our daughter (and us) feel special from start to finish. I would say she she the best server we have ever had, anywhere.
The guests that I had with me visited here for the first time. It was a delight to see them introduced to the pleasures of eating at a top steak house. The elegance of the setting and attention paid to each course delighted them (and me, although not for the first time). The s teks were superb.
Private note sent to Charley's.
Service was great, Brooke exceptional.
Anniversary and birthday dinner. Great food and service.
The food and the service were outstanding. Shelly was very knowledgeable about the menu and was able to give great recommendations. If never been to a restaurant where they bring out the steaks you have to choose from so you can see what everything looks like and make the right decision, and it was awesome. All of the food was outstanding, and even though everyone was full to the brim, we ended up ordering a dessert because it sounded so delicious, which we didn’t regret in the least because that cheesecake was so good.
It was a cool experience, but seriously, who needs a 50oz steak? Mostly, this is marketing. I have had steaks just as good (better?) for a whole lot less.
Best steak in town! Don’t bother looking for any better.
This was a work related dinner. There were 7 of us and we all got different steaks and shareables. We all LOVED our steak and all the yummy sides. Even the bread and dessert were amazing. I would definitely come back for dinner again.
This place is a classic! Wonderful service, food, and atmosphere. I will plan to go next time I’m back in town.
Excellent food and service! We were celebrating our son & daughter-in-law’s 10th anniversary, and the staff and management made it very special with a complementary appetizer and wonderful, attentive service! Overall, a great evening!
Always great food and service. It’s my go to place on just about every business trip to Orlando
Brooke is a great server, very knowledgeable and professional! Great steaks and perfectly grilled!
I do not often give Outstanding reviews. The food was excellent, the steak was the best ever, the
mushroom fondue appetizer was different and very tasty. Service was top notch without being intrusive.
Service was very poor, wrong years on wine. Wrong food brought to table
From the moment we walked in the door, until we left the building, every aspect of this place was on point! I took my husband here for his first Father’s Day and everyone kept congratulating him. That sat us quickly and our waiter Rogan was ON POINT! He new his menu as well as excellent customer service! Every time one of us left the table he swooped in to fold our napkin or refilled a glass! Never lingered to long but just allowed us to truly enjoy our meal and each other instead of awkward small talk or feeling like we had to stop talking because he was there. The food was amazing! Love the bread, shareable sides and the steak of course! Melt in your mouth filet and tender Wagyu beef! Every aspect of this was worth every penny! The amazing customer service, food, presentation, atmosphere, EVERYTHING! It didn’t stop there. We had left overs and my husband, not wanting to ruin the meat, called the restaurant and we spoke directly to the Chef who recommended the best way of “reheating” the steak with a few tips! AMAZING! We will be back again! Thank you for making my husbands first Father’s Day one he won’t forget!
My favorite restaurant in Orlando. No negatives at all.
Enjoyed Fathers Day celebration at Charley’s! Had the special NY strip and mushrooms and baked potato — absolutely delicious! Brooke was our server, and was over the top, as always. Another great visit to Charley’s!
Most excellent dining experience.
We are regulars at Charley's and it never disappoints. The food is excellent, the service outstanding and the atmosphere is that of a classic fine dining steak house.
Food was fresh and delicious! Our servers Brooke and Rachel were outstanding with assisting with any need we had.
I only have one issue with the service and it had nothing to do with our server.....he was terrific! When we arrived at the restaurant, they said they didn't have our reservation. I was parking the car and then came a few minutes later with my OpenTable confirmation in hand. They had told my Mom and Son that there was only one Lewis reservation on their book and it was for five people instead of three. Magically, after I had the OpenTable reservation confirmation in hand, they found our reservation. We were seated in the middle of a very noisy dining room. I request a booth every time I go to a restaurant.
I have eaten at the I-Drive Charley’s many times. Saturday June 16th was terrible. The food was delicious but the service we received from Steve the waiter was unacceptable. He was extremely disengaged, ripped me off by switching vintages on the wine (ordered Laetitia Wildfire Ridge 2013, he brought a 2016 and lied about the vintage) and proceeded to pour it in such negligent fashion as to spill it on my arm. I’m a sommelier. The rip-off was witness by another staff member who showed up with the correct vintage and was sent away by Steve.
We were there for an early reservation, the restaurant was not busy, I we were seated in the worst table in the house, right next to the kitchen. Regardless, the meal took over 2.5 hours with most of it spent being ignored.
Feckless and disinterested host and management that night.
I am a 20+ year hotel manager and this was one of the worst meals I have ever had from a service standpoint. Charley steaks are great and your grillman is a pro. Steve need to be retrained.
