Charleston's Restaurant - Castleton Ratings and Reviews
We had such a nice waitress. I think her name was Kimberly. She was funny and made the dinner happy for us. The food was very good as always. I can count on that whenever i eat at The Charleston. I like to sit in the bar because there is no noise from children.
I made reservations and we were seated immediately. This is always a busy restaurant and recommend reservations. The drive off 82nd St was blocked because the adjoining bank was resurfacing parking area. Enter from Bash Rd. Food was awesome and served quickly considering how busy they were on a Friday evening. Don't forget the unforgettable Bread Pudding!
We used open table to secure a booth in the dining room. When we arrived there was some confusion and the manager took over and seated us in the bar in a booth. The noise level was what could be expected in a bar on Friday night. However we were meeting old friends for a nice evening of conversation, so this was not what we hoped for. The waiter was exceptional and so we stayed in the bar. In retrospect I wished we would have asked to be moved.
Second visit this week so you know I enjoyed the restaurant. My favorite things are the food and the ambiance. My friend ordered flowers for me when she made the reservations online with Open Table. One of the most beautiful arrangements I have ever received. Both visits were a 10!
Was visiting a friend in Indianapolis to celebrate another friends birthday. We went to Charleston's and thoroughly enjoyed the food. The service was great too! We reserved our spot using Open Table and there was ZERO wait time. Signature margarita was excellent and lemon martini was good too! Flatbread appetizer was excellent as was the bread pudding dessert. Only one person had an entree (a burger) and she said it was excellent! Would definitely go there again!
We were seated immediately and our server was ready with the menus. After giving us time to choice our entrée the server came back and took our orders. All three of us ordered different items and we all agreed that the food was excellent. As good as the food was the service was even better. The server was constantly coming by and refilling our iced tea glasses. This went on even after we had paid the bill and stayed a little later to keep talking with an old friend. Charleston's is a first class place to dine!
I took my husband out for Father's Day! We had 5:30 pm reservations. We were seated on time and the food was good! The only thing I was unhappy about was that they had run out of ALL desserts and we tried to order them at 6:30pm. One would think they would be prepared for Father's Day. Our server told us they ran out of the bread pudding in the morning. Was a big disappointment since we were planning on ordering that's as our dessert!
I was terribly surprised at the manner in which my family was treated at Charleston's on this date. As frequent diners at this restaurant we have come to expect a higher level of service than what we received. There was hair in my salad; they brought me an iced tea with a lemon that still had a grocery store produce sticker on it; and most of the staff was quite rude as well. We were shocked to walk in and see four people at the front of the restaurant and not one spoke to us or led us to our table. We are seriously contemplating never returning to this establishment again.
The staff and service was excellent; however there was a huge problem with fruit flies and our food had to be sent back twice because it was not cooked to our request. Management was very apologetic and accomodating, but the issue with fruit flies (one went into my mother's drink) was very concerning
An Easter Sunday meal with my sweetheart of 48 years. Great food. We both had variations of an 8 ounce prime sirloin. One was a special marinated Hawaiian steak and the other was the standard menu. Both were wonderful. Caesar salads and baked potatoes were spot on. You have to top it off with Charleston's signature bread pudding, which we shared. Delectable! Only problem was the ambiance. Having made a reservation, I was surprised we were seated in a booth in the bar! Too cold and the hum from beverage coolers was not quite the background noise expected for this special "reserved" time.
