See you there!
Service was terrible! Food was just okay, definitely not great or worth the price point. I would NOT recommend eating here & I will NOT be returning!
Service lousy, really, really bad from the start to the end. Too bad for such a nice place otherwise.
The lavendar blueberry cheesecake was worth the calories. Fabulous!
The calamari tasted fishy. The batter flavor was great, but ive definitely had fresher tasting calamari.
It was my 55th Birthday on Friday, June 15. I was looking up restaurants for weeks. We saw mixed reviews of Chandlers, so I was nervous...however the menu seen online won me over. It was loud, but go my ocean view seat. We, my husband, Sons and I. Our server was Tyler, and he was awesome! Took note of my seafood allergy, and was so great, informative and gracious. Excellent service, and amazing food. I even learned how to say charcuteri, lol. I'll go back, worth the cost!!!
I had a fantastic lunch at Chandler's. My Cobb salad with prawns was the best I've ever had. The service was excellent and the ocean view was perfect. I can't wait to go back!
Chef nailed my perfect filet temp, great job!!
The food and the service were both very good. With the ratings we saw, we expected a lot more. We went for our anniversary dinner and were surrounded screaming toddlers, the very thing we wanted to escape from for the evening, from the hotel attached to the restaurant. I just don’t understand how they can charge almost $50 for an 8oz steak and have a horrible environment!
We had a great experience for dinner on a busy Saturday night. Shared bites are excellent, as is the dinner menu. Good gluten free options.
This Hilton restaurant is good for sunset watching. The service is friendly but random, to put it gently...cob salad was big and cold. I expected chicken breast to be freshly grilled , but it was not. We are not coming back.
The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived. Host tried to seat us at a mediocre table which we declined and asked for a table with a better view. Note that we are laying $72 per person for a pre fixed dinner because of Mother’s Day. Jose our waiter was good, no complaints there. But the food was bad. The kids Mac and Cheese had more flavor than the fish entree I ordered. The salad was horrible. The polenta looking dressing on salad made the texture not pleasant. My wife and I both did not finish our 3 course meal that we paid $150 for. Definitely not worth the money.
While Chandlers is not right on the water front, the ocean view from the patio seating is wonderful. We stayed at the hotel for a one night get a way and just wanted to eat and relax without leaving the hotel. The hotel and restaurant were very busy when we were there but the service was perfect; we had made reservations and were seated promptly. I had the grilled salmon, mashed potatoes and asparagus and was very pleased with my meal.
Great food and fun place to meet with friends.
My wife and young son had an exceptional dining experience at Chandlers! We highly recommend going for great food with a beautiful view and an overall amazing experience! We’ll be back
We have been to Chandler's many times and it never disappoints. They were very busy on the Saturday night we went, but the service was pleasant and the food was excellent. Get there for the sunset, it's fantastic!
The food was decent but nothing special. Nice view of the sunset but the location didn't make up for the average food and less than impressive wine list. Second time we have tried this place and will probably be the last time.
Must say always enjoy everything about our dining experiences. Our highest compliments to the Chef and Staff. Thanks
Aside from a couple of overly-zealous and loud patrons, the atmosphere was good. The king salmon and seared tuna were excellent. Service was fast and attentive. All around a very positive experience.
Server came by maybe 3 times, definitely didn’t feel valued. Food was okay but nothing special. Overall the cost of the Buffett was way over priced and when we entered I asked for an outside table and we were put inside—they listen at all when I was talking. Definitely will tell everyone I know not to go there—we left feeling like we got robbed poor at best rating
Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance and asked to be outside to enjoy the view, but when I arrived I had to fight to get a table on the patio, even though there were plenty of open tables!! There were even couple sitting on larger tables, because the patio was basically empty. They wanted to put me and my party in the back of the restaurant, with no ocean view whatsoever, when they charge $80 for Easter buffet. My guess is that it was because I had my toddler son with me... Ultimately I told them we weren’t gonna pay $80 to sit in the back and not see the ocean. buffet was not worth the money, deserts were not good at all, and no bottomless mimosa. Next year I’ll try something else.
Love eating the dishes served at Chandler's. The beet salad & braised short ribs are our favorite. It is a farm to table style dining & I love that! We like the energy of the restaurant. It is a family dining and/or Fun bar atmosphere.
After the sensory overload of Legoland and its hotel dining options, this quick drive near it offered a beautiful sunset view, nice wines and cocktails, and a much tastier and quieter dinner for us all to enjoy for a break. Our server Tyler was attentive and fun, the food was delicious and the setting super great.
Our server, Joann, was outstanding! Nice chocolate cake for the birthday girl.
To put it in simply the service was awful. I was surprised that a hotel like this would have such terrible service. Our server attended to us once. When we asked for a refill for our drink that we were never offered he never returned with a refill. We waited for 20 minutes for the server to give us our check. When he didn't we told the front desk. The front desk didn't apologize and simply stared. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.
Not impressed with the $42 steak. It was at best average. The charcuterie was not impressive. Overall, for the price not impressed with the $100 meal on St Patrick’s Day.
made a stressful day pleasant and relaxing. service was excellent, food outstanding. loved their bread selections and food was tasty. Try the lobster shrimp tacos!
I was very disappointed in the food. A fish sandwich came with the fish so thick it was not eatable as a sandwich. The beet salad had too much dressing on it and was not exciting. I would not return.
My $42.00 steak was mostly fat. Poor service. My cocktail was good.
Phenomenal!! Love this place, great view, great beer and food is top notch.
Service was horrible. Dropped off the food and never filled our drinks once. We finished the food and the plates were sitting at the edge of the table for 15 mins before anyone asked if we were done. Asked for the bill then 10 min later the server comes back without the bill asking if we want desert. Food was mediocre. All and all sucked. I would have never posted this but they emailed me asking for a review so here it is.
Service was excellent. Although a limited dinner menu, the food was very good. One of the better prime ribs I've had in a while.
Great food and service. We were celebrating our anniversary and they made us feel special
T'was the night of winter formals and bar mitzvahs. We arrived just in time for the teens to depart. Garrett took care of us at the bar with a peach bourbon mule and a blood orange old fashion, both delicious. Then the accommodating hostesses sat us near the fire pit on the patio. Zach took care of our food services. We had 2 glasses of Albarino, always nice to find on a menu, 2 ciopinnos and the salted caramel vanilla profiteroles. The ciopinno was a bit creamier than we are used to, but you know what, it was still light and lovely. We are from Fallbrook but were camping across the way, about a 20min walk to our site so perfect to work up and off an appetite. Would definately recommend for locals or lucky travelers.
Service was great, food was delicious and good portions! I had the salmon and Parmesan risotto with bacon asparagus and it was delicious, I’d definitely go back for it! My husband had the short ribs which he liked but wanted a bit more flavor. We sat in the patio and they were very accommodating with getting the heaters set up by us so we were comfortable. Sunset view was beautiful from the patio. Great experience all in all!
Mahi Fish Tacos were great! Our server, Justin, was super helpful and friendly. Very few vegetarian options for my girlfriend to choose from and a pretty loud table of kids next to us. Overall the service and food were great though. Price was moderate. Would go again but it's not something that is a destination restaurant unless you're there for sunset to see the beautiful views.
Our first time here. And it was a pleasant one. The host asked if we wanted to seat outside, which was a good choice.... The outside heaters were set to the right temperature.... Our server was polite and nice... Very nice place!!!!
We chose Chandler’s to celebrate our sixth wedding anniversary. The hostess was friendly and sat us immediately. The waiter was busy with many tables to attend to. However, the couple at the table behind us was given a lot of attention, due to the fact that they got married earlier that day. Our appetizer came promptly after ordering. Our entree’s and check took more time. My husband and I made our night special but would not return to this restaurant. Every year we go out for our anniversary , this is the first time it was not acknowledged by restaurant staff. Perhaps, it was an off night, but we shall never know.
We visited Chandlers for my husbands birthday. The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive, and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to accommodate. We ordered the calamari appetizer, but were a bit disappointed because it was soggy, and the breading was falling off, maybe due to the fact that the dish may have been waiting for a while before it was served. All the main dishes were fine, except the risotto that came with the salmon(which was delicious), the risotto was extremely oily and even though the taste was good, it was the oiliest risotto I've ever had. The ambiance was good as always, it's a very picturesque location, and I never get tired of the ocean view.
Good food, check out the sides! Excellent service. Make reservation.
The diner was awful ! We didn’t finish our entrée that the meal was arrived ! If you want to have a good time to share with friends don’t go there !
Chandler's was a wonderful place for our New Year's Eve dinner, and our server, from Urageuy, was spectacular!
