Chandler’s opened it’s doors in December of 1999 behind the historical Symons General Store building. It’s a cozy place with only 50 seats in the main dining room & 10 seats at the bar. When real estate is too tough to find - it’s standing room only! For a change of scenery, guests can enjoy dining in the wine cellar where they are surrounded by the 4,000 bottle collection that serves both the restaurant and Symons General Store. In the warmer months, guests can choose to dine outside, on Chandler’s brick courtyard.

    Having eaten there several times Chandlers was at the top of my list. This time the place was packed, loud, some delay in service and significant increase in price. It may be a while before we go back. Maybe its the holiday? Maybe overbooking ? The kitchen and wait staff were being hammered!

    I would have been a full 5 but when as a female I gave the server my credit card he gave the pay packet back to the male in the group. If a female provides the payment at least be respectful of giving back the payment packet to the person providing the payment. !!

    Great cocktails, excellent apps. Sushi was excellent. The entrees were expensive and not flavorful. The halibut had very little flavor on top of a risotto that also had very little flavor. At $57 a plate, this was disappointing. Also, the filet had the same issue. No seasoning.

    The hostess was really unpleasant, she was not willing to accommodate my request for a specific place, wich I placed when I booked that reservation. I have been to Chandler’s many times over the years and never had any issues with my requests. I requested a table in the wine cellar room, but was seated outside, when we where leaving all the tables for two people in the wine cellar room were still empty. The food was not good either.

    Great dinner and amazing service. I think our servers name was Davis. We loved everything about it. First time in the wine area! Also, we devoured the new bread.... huge upgrade!
