Chandler's a Restaurant
The look, ambiance, food, and wine are outstanding. We go there every time we’ve been in Petosky on business or pleasure.
The food and service at Chandlers makes every visit special.
Wonderful food and service. The inside seating area is small, and unfortunately we were sitting next to a very large, loud and drunk crowd. Given the space was small it made it hard to hear my wife speaking. The group finally left and it was much better. But still hard to enjoy the overall experience until this group left.
Everything from the ambiance to the service (Brittany best server ever) and everything on the menu was out of this world. I’ve had Beef Tartar in PARIS and Chandlers was better! I will always cherish this place and if you’re looking to find where chefs or to dine when they are not working it’s here.
Wonderful brunch celebrating my birthday
Amazing food and service!
Great dinner, our wai
Outstanding Last Words. Best halibut. Love Paul, Jordan, Heidi.
Great service and food! Duck and Amish chicken were fantastic and really nice wine selection.
The best food in the area and beyond. BUT they have no bread at all.
Excellent meal. A little expensive. Paul did an excellent job.
Loved this restaurant so much we came back for brunch the next day! Service was excellent and food exceptional.
The restaurant is fabulous!
The staff are very friendly and the service was great.
The food is delicious and I would recommend it for sure
The halibut with risotto was spectacular!
Usual very good service and pretty good food all way around
We have always loved Chandler’s and look forward to every visit. As usual, the food and service were exceptional. The shrimp linguine was perhaps the best pasta dish I have ever had in my life. Kudos to the chefs and to Penny.
Ambience is wonderful! Our appetizers and dinners were absolutely delicious. Our server was kind, attentive, and patient with us.
Highly recommend if you haven’t been!
Service was incredible and the food was delicious. I can’t wait to go back
Our time at Chandler's a Restaurant was phenomenal! We came for brunch - the food was delicious, our waitress was amazing, and we loved that our dog could join us on the outdoor seating area. Highly recommend!
We had a fabulous evening at chandlers. So fun sitting in the wine room.
Ask to be seated in the wine cellar . . . cozy and more quiet.
Great place! Server Heidi was wonderful! Food was excellent!
I always have a wonderful experience at Chandler’s! From the food to the service, everything is always top notch!
Great food, great wine, great service
The food and service were outstanding! Ambiance was unique and perfect for our date night! We dressed up but definitely could’ve gone more casual! Highly recommend!
Great place to eat. A little confused about why they set 3 tables so close together with COVID still a big issue. Other than that the food was great and so was the service
Probably could be considered one of the best restaurants in Petoskey.
I always have amazing food here. Unfortunately not tonight.
I’ll still be back because we all have off days! This hick up is the exception, not the rule.
Food quality was excellent. Wine selection was incredible . Service outstanding. Wine cellar provided a capstone to a combination birthday, anniversary celebration
Great bistro feel, excellent execution on rack of lamb and salmon.
I love this restaurant ... the service, food, & wine are some of the best in Michigan!
Loved the food and the wine. Paul is an outstanding waiter
Lunch is a great value at Chandlers’s. Pork fried rice and shrimp
pasta were both excellent. As usual, service was very good; friendly, knowledgeable but not overbearing. Felt safe with reduced capacity. Highly recommended.
We were there for Sunday brunch. Our server was lovely, food was tasty, wine was delicious!
Always an amazing experience with great food and cocktails!
Everything was great ! The food was high quality and the service exceptional. It’s one of our favorite places and we will continue to go back. However, where we were seated by the door was cold and we ate with our down jackets on the whole time. The space heater they had to help in that area was broken. Also, the noise level was loud due to one bar patron being very boisterous . This may not normally be a problem but with the plastic shield in front of her, the sound seemed to reverberate back into the dining area. Once the shield is removed after Covid restrictions go away, it should be fine .
Food entrees good and Paul did a nice job. I was very disappointed tho because our party was supposed to be in the Wine Cellar Room for my wife’s special birthday dinner and we were seated at the four top right by the entrance door of the bar dining room! We had to ask for a space heater - it was 12 degrees on Saturday night and with the entry door opening & closing regularly ( as waiters carried food & beverages to those in Wine Cellar room, needless to say it was a cold table ! I asked Paul who was the night Manager , he said Jordan. I remembered that name specifically as I had moved my original reservation back to 5pm from 6pm due to Governors seating capacity mandate - and so we would be in the Wine Room for the special occasion. The prior year on the first weekend of February, we were part of a large group of 15 in wine room celebrating birthdays, so I expected we’d have another great experience. .. anyway, I asked to speak with Jordan and he finally made it over ( he was waiting on tables). I asked about why we were not seated as originally reserved in the Wine Room / his answer was the owner made the changes and that was that. No one called me to confirm either the reservation or a seating change. He said in the future, “we’ll make sure you’re there”. No recognition of my wife’s birthday, no thank you for you’re understanding, no thank you for dining with us, no offer of a round of after dinner drinks - not much guest concerns.
In my career, I’ve been a partner in a dinner service, upscale restaurant and worked 15 years in a prominent full service restaurant chain in management and consulted hospitality entrepreneurs, so I think I grasp the basics. Again, good was good, Paul provided reasonably good service , but I don’t feel Chandler’s lived up to its reputation.
