ALWAYS A PHENOMENAL DINING EXPERIENCE! A PETOSKEY CLASSIC.
Excellent restaurant. Best in Petoskey. Great food and service . Great environment
Great waitress! Excellent food. Great experience as usual.
Waiter was mar
Chandler's was fantastic - highly recommended. My wife and I both thoroughly enjoyed the crab cakes as an appetizer. My wife even asked for (and received!) the recipe for the tartar sauce. The halibut and filet were perfectly done. The service was exceptional - very friendly and available, but not intrusive.
I had really high expectations for Chandlers, however we dined on sunday night so we had to have dinner in the bar dining room which is very small. When they are busy on the weekends they seat in the building next door however on at least Sunday we got sat in the bar dining room which is loud and the tables are on top of each other. Since its small, the staff runs dirty glasseare through the dining room which is a huge no no! We ended up having a few apps and left b/c we were not impressed. Our sushi was worse than the local super market options. Our server however was fantastic so kuddo's to him, however just lackluster! I'lll leave it at that.
Seating is too tight. Room is too hot, always has been. Food is good. The bar is low in these parts, so I'm grateful for Chandlers. Menu could be changed more often-needs freshening. Can this kitchen be challenged?
Amazing service, staff, and food!
Great food, prompt service. Ryan was great. The diners next to us were obnoxiously loud, but what can you do about that? Will definitely return.
Love Chandler’s. We always try to get in if in Petoskey area.
You don't get enough food for the price. The butter salad was delicious but very small for $14. Ordered the filet medium and came out rare. When I asked the waiter to have it cooked a little longer he held it up to eye level and analyzed it, and proceeded to tell me it was medium. I had to inform him it was not to my liking. Came back cooked correctly and tender but no taste, no flavor. Used the delicious balsalmic on the table to give it something. You get 1 potato cut in half and maybe 2 brussel sprouts. If I went back I would order something different. For a $$ restaurant Fleming's is much better
The staff were all awesome. We were fortunate to have Britney serving us this evening.
Great food, this is my second visit to this restaurant. I wasn’t as impressed this time, my meal was very well done I had to pick it apart to eat. The staff was quite busy didn’t bother complaining as I was starving.
Ate in the wine cellar. Food was fantastic. Wine value is very good. Service was excellent with great attention to detail and responsiveness. Will go back again and again.
My favorite restaurant in Michigan. I have always received great service and delicious food.
A return visit this past week. Chandler’s is our new favorite cozy spot!
Reservations were perfect, professional wait staff and great dinner!
We went to Chandler's for our anniversary again and were able to get seating in the normally more quiet wine cellar. But there were several parties going on that night and they were having a good time. Service was very good, wine and food were excellent.
Overall we had a great dining experience. Food was delicious, service was friendly, and atmosphere was very comfortable. Our bill was nearly $300 with tip but we did both order fillet, a bottle of wine, and dessert. I would go back again for speciaL occasions.
Dined on a Friday night in early October. The restaurant was surprisingly business for a gloomy, gray fall day. We were seated in the wine cellar room, which is fairly cozy with only 8 to 12 tables. The room was fairly quiet, although the noise level rose when a large party were seated, the small area seemed to contain the conversations with the space. . Our waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. We had the squash bisque and a butter lettuce salad with smoked blue cheese dressing to start. Both were very good. Entree were the duck breast and the pork shank oso bucco. Both were excellent and very large portions. We had just enough room for the apple crisp and a cream brulee for dessert. the apple crisp with vanilla ice cream was especially good. Definitely glad we had a reservation, even for an "off-season" time. Would like to return in the summer to try the weekend brunch and the outdoor patio.
Fantastic. Our first visit. Our waiter Paul was fantastic so courteous and attentive. Food was top notch. I had the filet and my husband had the white fish. I believe menu changes daily but everything I saw other diners enjoying looked amazing.
Dessert was great and the wine list was very broad. We were very pleased! Meal was pricey but we felt it was worth it. Reservations are a must as they have very few tables. We will return next time we are In Petosky!
Excellent all around. Great bar, food and service. Highly recommend.
One of our all time favorite dinner places. Every time we are in Petoskey we eat there.
Best brunch place! Everything was so delicious!! We had a group of 9 people and waiter was so great, and attentive every meal that came out was absolutely amazing!
This is a very noisy restaurant. I feel the food was mediocre and overpriced. I did hear if you sit in the cellar it’s much quieter. We were not offered to sit there. Food was just OK as the ambience.
Great food and service, especially with our favorite waiter Paul. Fun and cozy atmosphere!
We first were seated in the bar area; it was ear hurting loud. We asked for a different table so they moved us to the wine cellar, which was very quiet and nice. Our waiter was great too! We will be back and we will ask to be seated in the same area. Also, many thanks to the nice waitress who through her quick thinking saved our experience with this restaurant!
The food is delicious and beautifully prepared! Atmosphere- fantastic!
Been here a dozen times and always had great food. The bar side was so incredibly loud it was tough to have a romantic evening.
Our waitress was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable but had way too many tables, and service was sub par.
If you want a quiet dinner, don’t sit on bar side.
I still would recommend this place, the chef and menu are worth dealing with the other issues
Disappointed!! Have been a Chandler's diner for decade or more. We were in town and came for my adult daughter's birthday, and the food was disappointing. The roasted potatoes and Brussels sprouts that surrounded my salmon were not done. The Brussels sprouts were raw. It sounded so yummy on the menu, and the reality was less than meh. Tons of sautéed, not roasted, red peppers and a lackluster sauce. I am not the greatest cook, but I could have made something better at home and not paid $38 for it. :(
My fellow diners had similar reviews, except for the halibut on pea and parmesan risotto. That was the only standout dish. Appetizers were not special either.
I don't know if it was because it was a Sunday night? But the menu and the prices aren't different on Sunday night so.... the food should be of equal quality.
The atmosphere was non existent and it was to loud.
We visited Petoskey for the first time in a few years. We returned to Chandler’s because we remembered a delicious meal from our last visit to the area. It did not disappoint. We had the halibut with mushroom risotto and both really enjoyed it.
As always, terrific. Great steak and Osso Bucco for dinner. Michael was very helpful with our order. Good to request him!
We were seated in the “wine cellar” portion of the restaurant. On one hand it was nice visually. Unfortunately the acoustics were atrocious. There were a couple of loud parties on the other end of the room which we could hear like they were sitting at our table.
The food was ok. The halibut was excellent but I found the Parmesan risotto to be pretty tasteless. The whitefish was all right, nothing note-worthy.
Exceptional food. Great wait staff. No hostess seems odd even if it is the end of the summer rush.
The menu is always changing and the food is always great. The cocktails are wonderful. One of my favorite places in Petoskey.
There were 7 of us and we were pleasantly surprised at how quickly they seated us although we did have a reservation. The wine cellar atmosphere was fabulous and the fgoid was MARVELOUS. Everything about our experience was outstanding except for the personality of our waiter. He was a good waiter, just zero personality.
Disappointed. I had the tacos which were dry and had little flavor at all. My husband had the sushi and steak but said it was nothing special. We waited 20 minutes for 4 non alcoholic drinks. They were accommodating to kids-making my picky 4 yr old buttered noodles. We wouldn’t return.
Good food. Unique location. Service was ok.
Had a great lunch with great service. We sat on their little patio, which was perfect for a summer afternoon. Definitely recommend their tuna bowl!
