Ignore my stars I cant leave a review because it was closed when we arrived for our 5:45 PM dinner reservation. There is construction going on outside of the restaurant and they don't seem to have set hours anymore. We were doing an overnight trip and are not from the area and it was extremely frustrating to drive down there pay to park and walk to the restaurant only to find it closed not sure why opentable let me make a reservation when it seems like they have been operating at reduced hours for a while.

The food was fantastic! My husband and i shared 5 different tapas items and they were all so delicious! Seriously the best deviled eggs I've ever eaten. The night we went, a lical band called tout sweet jazz ensemble was playing which made the ambiance amazing

Happened to go on a first Thursday so were treated to jazz and poetry reading while we dined. Ordered nine tapas all excellent with the possible exception of the spinach which had too many onions for the palates of those in our group. Highly recommended.

Never again will my palate nor my credit card participate in this venue. I was very disappointed with the food. I felt that the ambiance was that of a garage with a make shift restaurant thrown in. We understand it is a wine and hors d'oeuvre bar. But the food was lacking. I felt as if it were prepared by students at high school home economics class. It was recommended to us by the internet. We booked a reservation; assuming that it would be packed. Which was the complete opposite.

Staff was very tentative, BUT THATS IT.. The menu and the food needs to be readjusted if the owners wish to stay in business. We had no problem ordering multiple plates from the menu. BUT after tasting of the first two plates. We opted not too. meat balls, deviled eggs and bread.

We left and walked down the street to grab a slice of pizza.

We were there on a Friday night when C'est le Vin had live music. Luckily we had early reservations and were able to put a wall between us and the band. It was very loud and since we were there for good food and good conversation with our friends, the "good conversation" piece would have suffered otherwise.

The tapas menu was varied enough for the 4 of us and the half/full plates made it possible to meet everyone's preferences. Our waiter recommended a wine and we ended up ordering a second bottle. Great choice for the price. The food was good, nothing spectacular, but tasty and satisfying.

We enjoyed several of the tapas selections, very reasonably sized AND priced. The live music was enjoyable - tasteful while it enhanced the experience without overwhelming. Service was good. Felt a bit like Goldilocks, as everything was "just right"!

This place is amazing! I took my friend here for her birthday and we had a great time. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday and we were the only ones in the place. We ordered 5 different dishes to share and tried a couple different classes of wine. The food was so good we can not believe this place is not packed every night. Our waitress/manager was so great and funny. She had us taste some different wines to see what we liked and was able to tell us about the food. I would HIGHLY reccomend this restaurant and can't wait to take my husband.

Booked a reservation for 8:15, when we got there it became clear they don't know how to use the reservation system. Told us to sit at a table for 4 - gee thanks. We watched them bring out two additional tables for two and dress them, but they didn't offer to relocate us. I asked to be moved to one of those tables and they were obliging, but I shouldn't have had to ask.

Took 15 minutes for the only server working that night to make his way around to us. To his credit, he was excellent, courteous, professional - just overmatched that night. We ordered a glass of wine each, and two half plates, which took 20-30 minutes to arrive. After we consumed them, we ordered two more half plates, which arrived in another 20-30 minutes. Unacceptable.

Food quality itself was fine, nothing spectacular, but enjoyable. They have a nice wine selection and my fiancee is pescatarian so there were plenty options for us both. The waiter brought us a complimentary creme brulee (my fiancee may or may not have indicated to him we just got engaged) that was quite good.

The scene was ok - rather minimalist decor. The space also doubles as an art gallery, and that particular evening an artist opened a pen + ink exhibit. Cool, I suppose. Patrons will occasionally hover over your table to view a piece hanging directly behind you. Had an excellent jazz band playing there that evening - it makes for a nice live music space.

I think it would be a great place if the execution was better - faster service, more waitstaff. Has the makings of a fine place, just not there yet. As a result, I'm not in a hurry to go back.

If you like to try different food, this works well. We only had one which was less desirable for our taste. The others were really good. Service could have been more attentive.

From the outside, it doesn't look like much but your impression will change as soon as you step inside and see the gorgeous interior and artwork. The server was nice and helpful. We had a bottle of wine from Jacey Vineyards, a flaming cheese plate, a Spanish tortilla, veal meatballs, garlic shrimp, and chili chocolate creme brûlée. After using a $30 groupon, our bill was only $30. It was a great value for amazing food.

This place is fantastic and the only complaint I have is that I didn't go there sooner! I will definitely be a repeat customer! Loved it! The food was amazing, the wine list was good, and they have a beer list too (you have to ask for it though). Small or large plate tapas and a few daily entree specials, including a vegetarian option, are all on the menu. I highly recommend the cheese plate and bread and butter for the table. Excellent excellent excellent!

We had tapas and wine to sample both food and drink for an upcoming engagement party at C'est Le Vin. The waiter and owner were very hospitable and attentive to our needs. We tried many dishes that were all very good, and this was the best polenta I have ever eaten!

I've been here about three or four times and I've always had great food, great service and a great time. I chose C'est Le Vin the other day for a romantic Valentine's night dinner and was very pleased with their truncated menu for the occasion. The menu's selections and wine pairings were just the thing to kick off a great night. Their regular menu features a broad range of delicious tapas and, of course, wine. I would recommend C'est Le Vin to pretty much anyone.

My girlfriend and I had a unexpected free night out, so we remembered this place. We love wine and small plate servings, we loved it. The service was great they offered a sample of all the wines we wanted, this lead to a notice bottle of wine with wonderful food. We highly recommend a visit here!

My husband and I have been there 3 times now. We get cravings for this place! First off, the owner and staff are always so wonderful and make you feel welcome. The wine list is amazing and they give great recommendations. The tapas are fantastic and we always share a couple and leave full and satisfied. I love the uniqueness of this restaurant and how much thought goes into each piece of food. Of course we will continue to come back!

This was our first visit dining here. The wait staff was helpful in explaining the menu. The tapas was very good and is offered in two sizes. We went on Friday evening and were pleasantly surprised to have a jazz band.

I'm pretty picky about tapas but was extremely pleased with the food we were served. Every single dish was enough for two people and absolutely delicious. My only complaint would be the random assortment of seating they had at the tables. For the style restaurant you'd expect the tables and chairs to fit however they did not. Hoping that they're going to fix this soon. Outside of that little complaint I'll definitely be returning! The prices were super reasonable for what you were getting.

This was a GREAT place for food in Richmond. Quiet setting and attentive service. We kept the waiter surprised with each "round" of small plates we ordered. All of them cooked perfectly and came to the table in a timely fashion.
