Amazing food and service. Patio dining tables are well-spaced and the area is cozy despite the cool weather.
Our server, Rachel, and server assistants were great. The food was delicious. Overall, great experience.
Our patio dining experience on Friday night was outstanding. Due to the lovely weather, the atmosphere was great; the service was helpful and timely; and the food was excellent.
Everything was delicious, but the mushroom Creme Brule, the Veal ravioli, and the duck ragu gnocchi were exquisite. Bravo!
Amazing meal per usual. The funghi appetizer is amazing - one of the best dishes I have had all year. Sat I side and felt perfectly safe as all tables were more than 6 feet apart. Service was outstanding!
We ate lunch outside at Centrolina and it was fabulous! We really appreciated their careful attention to COVID-19 social distancing procedures, and as always, the food, service and ambiance was first-rate. We'll definitely be back!
Wonderful getaway in the city during covid! Centrolina has set up lovely dining option outdoors with well-spaced tables and heaters (luckily we did not need one on our evening out). We were greeted promptly and had temps taken and shown to our waiting table. Sadly at our 7:15 reservation several of the seafood items were unavailable as was one of the appetizers. We were a party of four and three of us were drinking wine with the fourth having a cocktail. The wine came quickly but the cocktail took a seeming long time. It finally arrived, but was the wrong cocktail. The owner of the cocktail decided not to return it because of the long time it took to come out and it was a fine cocktail at any rate! All that said, dinner was lovely!! The appetizers (stracci and finocchio) were truly first class, and the main courses were as good as they get. Both gentlemen in our group ordered the scallops and both ladies ordered the branzino. So, while not perfect, we all concluded it was a lovely evening, well worth the money, with an idyllic atmosphere and charming staff making us forget for a few hours that we are living in the most unusual of times. I could go back every evening and enjoy the setting and wonderful food!
Tempura squash & apples was a great starter. Maccherone pasta and branzino were excellent entrees.
Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing ambiance.
This is hands-down one of the best restaurants in the city.
I had not been back to Centrolina since last February when I had dinner there early this week. It is one of my favorite Washington restaurants, and I was happy to return: much has changed but none of those qualities that make Centrolina so excellent an experience: superlative service and exceptional food. I had ravioli with veal, crudo of tuna and oxtail, and a tiramisu that was classic and delicious. This restaurant remains at the top of its game, and it is managing the pandermic requirements flawlessly.
Amazing food and service. Dined outside it was lovely. All Covid procedures followed.
Dinner was superb! The outdoor area was thoughtfully set up, with appropriate space and heaters for the chilly night. The cocktails were delightful, especially the Italian derby, and the food was fantastic. A great date night!
Very nice setting, food came late and potatoes were not well cooked.
Found the hostess to be relaxed, our seating was across from the restaurant, which lacked outdoor heaters. The menu stated we could buy a blanket for $20. Some what cheeky I thought. Thank god for cocktails, half way through the meal someone brought Us a blanket. Our service was good as well as the food, we ordered pasta &Brandzino a whole fish deboned & filet. Our server came back & said no more whole fish, however they did 2 filets ,which We agreed, & it was delicious. What really disappointed me, later while We were eating I heard one server tell another-out of whole fish & something else.
So I sat there wondering were we taken advantage of because We ordered 2 entree’s & decided to split? Just left Me felling used.
Celebrating a 2nd wedding anniversary with family we hoped for a stunning evening.
The wines, especially the 2016 Avignonesi Toscana Grifi were excellent. The food, particularly the duck leg, the white bolognese pappardelle and the ribollita soup were amazing. And not to be outdone the service, Arty's knowledge of the food and wine and his impeccable service made for the perfect dining adventure we had hoped for. Thank you Centrolina and staff for offering a world-class dining experience without the expense of flying to europe.
The branzino was amazing. Full of favor!
Eating outside was lovely. Tables were spaced well and it was a beautiful day. Look forward to going back and enjoying the expanded dining room some day.
Justin, I know him as Josh, was terrific as was the entire team. The new soup was really an entree. Hearty and delicious. The veal entree was huge enough that I took a chunk of it home.
Lovely ambiance and really delicious, simple food with complex but rustic flavours...
Great outdoor dinning and amazing service.
That was some of the best pasta we've ever had. Wonderful fresh bread. The waiter/chef also treated with a kind extra dessert. Definitely coming back and grateful for their exceptional service and creative cuisine!
Just absolutely spectacular! In very way, staff, food, ambiance was incredible.
Sat outside and had a perfect experience. Tables were well spaced out. Food was excellent and service was outstanding. Everything was done perfectly.
We were impressed that they took the necessary precautions in these times of COVID-19. Our waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Each course was delectable and it was easy to find wine that paired well.
The Parmesan brûlée with mushroom rosemary broth was amazing!!
Truly one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had. My fiancée and I went here on a date after having the best Italian food New York and Philly have to offer. Centrolina is as good as anything we’ve had there. The pasta was tastefully done, not too heavy and perfectly cooked. The tiramisu was incredible—the ladyfingers were inside the cake. The ambience and service were particularly enjoyable too. I highly recommend.
The service and food are always top tier. Best quality, perfect quantity and freshest you’ll ever find. We love this place. A great wine selection and perfect marketplace included.
Our experience at centrolina was fantastic. Our server was faultless and extremely accommodating. The food was as good as it has always been. We sat outside and enjoyed a lovely fall evening with food and drink.
The absolutely PERFECT place to dine al fresco under City Center's fall leaves in Palmer Alley. The food is always beyond absolutely PERFECT( but everybody already knows that). The safety precautions include a temperature check before being seated to allow one to dine well and stay well. Great wine list too!
Overpriced menu with nothing special to offer. A plate of veggies was $16. It wasn’t a big plate either. Been wanting to go there for weeks. Left hungry and disappointed.
This was probably the best meal I've ever had in DC! Perfect location, outstanding service and value, and the BEST food. The ambiance was also very romantic and nice.
Wonderful food. Great ambience
The Crudo seasoning was inconsistent on all the pieces. The fish that overlapped each other made it to where some pieces had no seasoning at all, and it was overpriced for 6 thin pieces of fish.
The Neri pasta was very good, very balanced in flavors and loved the seafood taste. Wish there was more of an umami flavor, but overall very light and delicious.
The gnocchi dish was good, but a little too much oil (there was a pool of oil on the bottom), and the rabbit seemed like pulled pork, was not really able to distinguish the meat as a rabbit.
The meringue dessert was a bit underwhelming. The grape sorbet was too delicate of a flavor to pair with the super sweet meringue, and lost its distinguishing flavor. The lemon punch was nicely incorporated, but having it only on one side of the plate made it difficult for us to enjoy proportionally.
Had a birthday dinner there based on a recommendation. The sea bass dish was superb! Will definitely recommend to others.
Great dining experience all around! Still thinking about their pasta
Good date, pricey but worth it
Great hospitality and delicious food
One of the finest meals we've had. Everything delicious, the service friendly yet unobtrusive, the price appropriate. The Covid precautions made us feel as comfortable as one can feel these days. We will be back.
Centrolina has their COVID drill down. The staff are knowledgeable and attentive. Know you will be in good hands and eat well.
