Decent food, nice staff. A little loud inside, but there was an outside option.
As always, a great go to place!
Cozy place. Excellent food and service.
Food was wonderful as usual.
Solid option for a night out. Great bar and good food. We are outside and while it’s not fine dining, we really enjoyed the night.
We decided to try here for the first time on a Friday night because our favorite band was playing. Overall, it was very good. Our server was pretty busy so service was sporadic and we had to wait awhile for drinks, dessert and our check. Our meal was delicious but the scallops were seriously undercooked and raw. The swordfish that they came with was excellent though. Unfortunately, even though we were enjoying the band and the ambiance was nice, we ended up leaving early because the one air vent was blowing directly on us making it unbearable to sit where we were. It was freezing cold air and very unpleasant. We will definitely try here again. Overall, very good food and service.
Three of our party enjoyed their entre and salads. My entre (shrimp, rice and avocado) was OK. The sauce was nondescript and did not do justice to the rice and 5 shrimp.
Overall it was a great experience. The short ribs on the menu are to die for! Our server was very attentive, without being annoying. He gave the extra touch that you expect and appreciate. We sat in the front section with the windows which has a nice ambience. The only downside was that the noise from the live music in the bar area was a bit much at times.
Excellent Sunday brunch with friends. Three of us had salads, and one had the Huevos Rancheros. All were excellent.
Our food, server and drinks were good.
Everything was good until a table of 4 were seated near us that were very loud
Our first time here visiting this hidden gem. Our server was wonderful and the food was great. Definitely recommend. We will go back again.
Outdoor dining at side is much nicer than under the tent in the front.
Cedar Hollow is a fantastic venue with a phenomenal atmosphere! My neighbors and I have started going regularly for Quizzo every Tuesday night! Big Mike’s Trivia is challenging and fun. I can’t say enough about how accommodating and efficient Joe is as a server! He takes great care of us and makes us feel at home! We’ll keep coming back!
An enjoyable experience thanks to our outstanding server, Joe. We headed out for a relaxing Sunday evening meal dining outside. The Cedar Hollow Inn was a good place for that. We showed up a little early for our 6 o'clock reservation and had plenty of seating from which to choose under the canopy or tables with individual umbrellas. The menu is small, but varied. The artichoke dip was delicious; you could really taste the artichoke and the pita was quite fresh. The crispy chicken sandwich was just that: crispy on the outside and moist on the inside -- no frozen chicken here. The gumbo packed plenty of spicy goodness. It was thoughtfully served with the cornmeal breaded catfish laid on top of an andouille sausage scaffolding to keep it crisp. The catfish was piping hot, moist and flaky while the flavorful breading was crisp and light. The andouille was delightfully spicy... the type of heat that builds as you eat it. The entire dish was topped with a long hot pepper that was expertly blistered over an open flame (the only way to get those crispy skin blisters on a pepper). That's pepper was punch-you-in-yhe-face hot, which is how I like it. If you don't like spicy, don't get the gumbo. My only negative is that I could have used more rice in the dish. That being said, I didn't leave hungry.
Out waiter, Joe, was affable and helpful with menu suggestions. He provided just the right amount of friendly chit chat and attentive service.
Our server was excellent and super sweet. We had a very pleasant dining experience.
Took my 98-year-old grandmother for Mother's Day 2021. The service and food were good. My only complaint is their handicap accessibility. The "ramp" they had going into the restaurant was asphalt riddled with holes, bumps, and uneven surfaces! So dangerous.! My son and I had to hold onto her on both sides, even while she used her walker! Disgraceful! This is a woman who scoots around with the walker and walks a mile a day so she is not feeble. Do better...get it repaired and we will be back! Also, we sat in the sunroom. The acoustics were bad. The woman on the other side of the sunroom could be heard throughout our entire dinner. Every conversation -every word she said. It was so bad another table of two women asked to be moved inside but couldn't be accommodated because they were booked for Mother's Day.
Wonderful Mother’s Day lunch. Food was delicious and great staff that greeted my wife and daughter and the pleasant wait staff.
We had an enjoyable dinner. Food was good, service was great, and always enjoy the ambiance.
Food and drinks were good. Service poor. Felt bad for our waiter as he clearly had too many tables to take care of. He did his best and was extremely pleasant. Unfortunately very to because of the volume he had to deal with.
Very enjoyable evening. Our server, Joe, was an absolute delight. Dinner was delicious and would recommend the crispy Bass special. Hope to visit again soon.
Very nice place to impress on a first date..prices were pretty reasonable
Always good food and service. The pasta entree was outstanding.
Food and service is wonderful. We love sitting on the veranda or outside when weather permits. We are frequent guests there.
Great food and atmosphere. Will definitely return.
We love this place. Delicious food and great service.
We had a great birthday celebration! Live music was a much appreciated bonus. Staff was all attentive and fun. We were not rushed. Set up was very covid-rule safe. Food was delicious. Thanks to all.
We love dining in the bar area. Servers all very friendly. Food was delicious. Had a very good entertainer(singer/guitarist) in the bar area, but he wasn't overbearing
Always the best experience, and the food is fantastic too!
We have now been to Cedar Hollow twice this month, and will go back again for certain! The food was great and the service was too. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, nice atmosphere and an incredible mushroom bisque, who could ask for anything more!
In the era of Covid-19, our group of 3 felt comfortable and safe. We originally reserved an outdoor tent table for brunch but since it quite cold that day and there was ample space available inside, we moved to the sunny enclosed porch. Our waiter was efficient and friendly. We all enjoyed our food - I can highly recommend the Huevos Rancheros. I've been going to Cedar Hollow Inn for decades for lunch, dinner and happy hour periodically over the years. It's a charming, out-of-the-way place to go, yet a central place to meet friends.
Food has gone down. This used to be or favorite spot. We will not return.
Jerry Watkins was great to listen to
Always enjoy the great friendly service, delicious food and fantastic live music!
Wonderful Valentines Day dinner of pistachio crusted sea bass & fantastic sides. Our server, Marilee, is the best. We're starting to feel like family!
During this trying time, especially for restaurants, the Cedar Hollow Inn is a great place to go for a delicious meal. Restaurant was full to the approved capacity which made it seem almost normal. Service was great and the food was excellent. I had the risotto and my wife had the pork shank. Menu can get a little pricey, but the quality overrides that. The live music being played in the background was excellent as well. Just a single person playing a guitar, but it added to the ambiance in a positive way.
We had a very nice dinner in the bar area. Tables were social distanced appropriately and the service was great. Live music was a bonus.
The mushroom soup was literally the best we ever had and the entrees were both outstanding. Courteous service was very attentive not intrusive!
It was a very enjoyable evening. Kathy was the best.
