Fantastic lent special of $19.95 All-You-Can-Eat Fish Fry on Fridays thru Lent. The fried fish texture was super crispy on the outside, tender and moist on the inside and not too greasy. Very nice place for a double date. Will definitely come back.
Last minute reservation that worked out well. Service was great as was the meal!
Disappointing evening. The noodles in the special of the day cioppino were mushy. They replaced my order with more mushy noodles, then gave me an extra helping of not as mushy ones. When the bill came after very slow service the entire evening, we were charged twice for my meal. I received a complementary dessert but the dinner was a fail. Too bad, since we’ve enjoyed eating there in the past.
I had a small crisis the moment I walked in. I forgot my wallet. I was able to get my credit card information by phone but the staff worked with me to ensure that my client hosted lunch was spectacular. My guests work in the building but had never visited Catch 35 and between the food and Hugo's spectacular service I am sure they will be back. It's a lovely atmosphere and the food was amazing. Thank you to the staff from the front desk to the manager to the chef to Hugo. Wonderful.
Gave this popular place another chance after previous disappointment. They have pulled up there socks... food was cooked perfectly, service impeccable! Enjoyed the special seafood pasta. My friends enjoyed the crab cakes and the Asian style salmon. Creme brulee was a perfect end to the meal. Wine and full bar available.
One of my favorite restaurants. A must stop when in Chicago. Great seafood, great staff.
Amazing food. Excellent ambiance. Good service. Nice wine selection.
We need to return to Catch 35 more often! The bisque was next-level superb, and both of our entrees were top-notch. We even had room left for the dessert: the carrot cake bread pudding was excellent. Service was attentive. The prix-fixe menu was a good way to go, and the pretheatre valet deal was a draw.
Delicious food, superb service, cozy comfortable atmosphere. Will definitely be returning!
Great food, had late reservations but service was not compromised. Great jobp
Wonderful dinner withadult children
How is it possible for a fish restaurant to have a special Friday night fish fry & run out of tartar sauce early??? The waiter ended up bringing ranch dressing instead!!! Really?Ranch dressing??! All 4 of us felt: the fish fry was not a special value, the event was totally mismanaged, & additionally we had to wait quite a while to be seated even though we had a reservation. Not going back there—especially the guy in our party who left all of his fish on his plate uneaten.
Friday fish fry was great.
Food service was great, Disappointed in the bar service. Took too long to get a drink at the bar, I had to track down the bartender. First they said they could make any martini then next bartender said there is only 1 martini on the menu. Which is it ?
Always nice, menu has changed as well as prices.
I go to Catch 35 nearly every time I'm in Chicago. The food and service have always been excellent. This time I had the yellowfin tuna, which was a very nice piece of fish and prepared perfectly. Our waiter was very attentive and the live jazz music was a great background. Two thumbs up.
Our Server, Ann, was excellent! Every one of her recommendations was good. The mussels with lemongrass broth was very good, as was the sea bass. The band in front was excellent and we especially enjoyed the singer.
Great seafood options, the Blackend Salmon was great
Great food and service
Excellent mussels and spiced octopus french green salad!
Salmon was a little dry.
My husband and I went for a date. We had the option of sitting in the bar area where the live music was playing. Our reservation was for 8:30 and the band was on a break and when they returned they only played until 9:00pm. They were good but I was hoping to hear the play a little longer. The other concern was that when I booked it there was an option for an abbreviated menu for less but the server didn’t know about it. He said that that was at a suburban location. I hadn’t been there in years but I definitely felt like the ambience was different. I don’t have to return any time soon.
Early dinner before the opera. Service was prompt, food was great and they manage food allergies very well. Plenty of options for gluten allergy.
Went here for Lent and stumbled upon their Fish Friday special. Would come here again to try the other seafood menu items on the list
Great service, fantastic entertainment
Favorite lunch restaurant in Chicago. Great food with excellent service!
Great food great location and food was awesome. Had the sole from Boston. Special for the day.
Waiter forgot our Arnold Palmer drinks. otherwise great meal
There was a bug in my food and the restaurant was not overly concerned about it!!!!!
Went for the Happy hour in the bar area. Appetizers were half price . We had 5 of them and they were all very good. Service on the other hand, wasn't very attentive.
Amazing! I absolutely enjoyed myself! If you haven’t tried them please do I will definitely be back. Affordable fine dining!
Staff was very nice. Never felt rushed but they were right at the table when you needed them.
Food was excellent and price seemed very reasonable.
I would highly recommend it
Our table had a few wonderful dishes. Mussels, Pad Ti, Gluten free bread, and scallops. It was all good!
The food and service were excellent. I was seated at a table in the bar and it was extremely loud. I was also next to a window with a blue flashing neon fish which was annoying. It’s a nice restaurant but the atmosphere made it less than an excellent experience.
Food was Awesome Brussels was delicious two people had the three course meal it was good except not good dessert choices key lime pie was terrible . Service to start was slow took ten minutes tell a waiter came after that it got better
Always a solid meal and time at Catch 35. The best seafood spot in Chicago!
Stylish fun restaurant. Love that they usually have live jazz in their bar.
A colleague and I went for lunch and we both had the Cobb Salad and it was outstanding. The seafood in it was amazing. I would definitely go back for it.
Excellent! Will be back!
The food was good not fabulous. Everyone was nice and friendly. The service was just ok. Our server knew we were trying to make a play and it took awhile to get the bill, he did not split it for 4 women so it took even longer once we asked for that to be done.
Great food and ambiance before the theater!
