Excellent food, music, service, what more could I ask for. Restaurant week pre fix was a great value. And I was late but they got my app quickly and brought our entrees out together.

We needed to eat dinner before seeing a show at the nearby Chicago Theatre & we picked Catch 35 because it was close AND was participating in Chicago Restaurant week. I order salmon at restaurants a LOT & this was some of the best. The ambience was EXCELLENT, Rat-pack jazzy vocals playing softly, and uncluttered lovely decor that subtly emphasized a “seafood” theme. The multi-level design made a large overall dining area seem intimate. It was MUCH lovelier than the Naperville location! The staff was keenly aware of the pre-theatre rush & our service was quick, but not rushed, and we had time to spare before leaving for the show.

Oh, the food was so GOOD!
All of the wait staff was phenomenal, as was the young lady at the door. The gentleman at the coat check greeted me as well even though I was not checking my coat.

The atmosphere was lovely and I enjoyed being able to see the chefs making the food...

Have dined here at other times prior to theater.
This time valet process was poor, the lobster bisque was much too salty and the custard of the creme brûlée didn’t need to be as sweet given the caramelized sugar on top. So, the balance was not good in these two dishes.
If not for these three things I would have given my usual five stars.
Thank you.

Best waiter I’ve had at a restaurant in years. We were catching a play and he was very helpful.

The food is great. I've eaten there several times and the food has always been good. Service was off. Host wanted to seat our 4 top at the absolutely farthest and darkest table in the house, despite multiple 4 tops available. Why? Server knew we were attending a show later in the evening, but still struggled to get food and beverage out in a timely manner. One of our party ordered a beer mid-meal. 15 minutes later our server apologized because the keg was being switched over. Another 15 minutes pass and our server brings out the beer menu because they're apparently now out of that beverage. Really? At that point, the beer should have been comped.

Still, I'll go back. This was just an anomaly in my past positive experiences.

Ann was our waitress, as she has been on several of our earlier visits. She is such a great representative of the restaurant. Informative and engaging, she adds to the pleasure of a fine meal.

What an awesome seafood restaurant in the middle of America. The octopus is awesome. I had the mixed seafood grill - it was great. Service was terrific. What a great find.

A longtime favorite for business lunch. The food is always excellent, and on this occasion I enjoyed the Crustacean Cobb salad, which had very generous portions of crab, lobster and shrimp. Service is consistently top-notch.

They were very willing to accommodate my changes. They said they could prepare anything just how I wanted it which I thought was really excellent and one of the main reasons I will keep going. They had my favorite wine that wasn't on the list, they didn't bring the whole fish (which is how it was listed on the menu) and they changed the sauce for me.

My daughter brought me to Chicago to see Phantom of the Opera. We came for dinner and immediately we liked it without being seated. The energy was great and the atmosphere was nice.
Our server was very tentative to us and even the management was quick to help when I kept dropping my napkin off my lap, because I was wearing a silky pair of pants. I will definitely visit this establishment again.

I have been to Catch 35 many times over the past 15+ years; however, this was the first dining experience for my daughter. We wanted to choose two different salads, main entrees and desserts that we could share, and the wait staff was very accommodating of that request. Many different wait staff served us during our meal, and each one was fantastic. Our head waiter made great suggestions for every course, especially the Mixed Grill as one of our two entrees and the Gingerbread Gelato and Stick Toffee Cake as our two desserts. The Brussel Sprouts that came with the Mixed Grill were one of the best things that we have ever eaten.

Finally, the restaurant allows you to keep your car with their valet if you attend one of the local theatre productions after your meal. Not only that, but they provide a $16 credit on your meal bill to offset the cost of the parking.

All in all, a phenomenal experience from start to finish! Cannot wait to come back!

Food was delicious although they did not have anything vegetarian except a plain salad or mashed potatoes. She ordered broccoli and got a broccoli salad leaves. Definitely disappointed in there not including vegetarian dishes on their menu. Sea bass was delicious but was extremely small portion for $42!
