Excellent place to have a great dinner with beautiful views and top quality service!
My sister and I had a wonderful brunch here last Sunday. Our server, Lindsay was amazing. Looking forward to going back again soon.
I love Cast & Plow is one of my absolute favorites- great food, friendly service, and beautiful ambiance! The lobster toast was excellent.
Very nice experience on the whole. A few things made it less than perfect - my wife’s cocktail was served unmixed - and one of our appetizers had an issue too, but service was excellent and they made up for error by crediting us for the item. Location and quality of the restaurant was excellent.
This was Christmas Eve, no tablecloths on the table. Limited menu. My entree, a chicken was just awful, very bland. According to my partner, the roast was good.
Service was adequate but had to wait for the waiter to come by.
Expected more from a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton
Made the reservation on Open Table which failed to mention a price fixe menu for the night. I realize it was Christmas dinner but irrespective of this, both Open Table and The Ritz should be responsible for notifying patrons of this. My frustration continued with an incredibly subpar menu, lukewarm food and overcooked carving station. Finally topped off with a "dessert bar" of cookies and brownies.
Way to go Ritz. Way to go Open Table. Very disappointed.
Wonderful service. Grateful they were open on Christmas and treated my daughter very well for her first time in fine dining service. Food was fantastic. A little pricy but it matched the quality.
Wonderful meal for Christmas, the Prix Fixe menu was varied and offered vegan options which is always appreciated.
Service was impeccable
The atmosphere was festive! It was perfect for a Christmas brunch.
Christmas Day Brunch - an all around bad experience. This is not the 1st time I have been underwhelmed while dining at Cast & Plow.
Cast and Plow was fantastic for our family Christmas Eve dinner (4 adults, 3 young children). Our server and all the staff were kind and accommodating. Each dish was delicious and the service was exceptional. We will go back!
I went to lunch with my family the day before Christmas. The general ambiance and view overlooking the Marina is special. I also really enjoyed the burger and others enjoyed their meals. This is a fantastic spot for lunch.
Just a very nice restaurant with great fresh food and excellent service. Nice wine list although a bit pricey. We spent a wonderful evening there. No need to go elsewhere if you stay at the wonderful Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey
atmosphere was nice; employees were friendly; service was good; food was warm to cold; overly limited selection on the special evening buffet; table did not accommodate a wheelchair well; experience was not worth the price; not likely to return to the restaurant.
Table attendant was horrible! Served soup to us with no soup spoons; asked for water with lemon & she brought the water with no lemon. We waited & waited, then had to summon her to get the lemon.
The grilled vegetable entree was no good, could not eat it. It should NOT be on the menu.
Great view of the marina on a sunny day. Food and service were solid, not extraordinary.
We were staying in Santa Monica and heading to LAX and wanted brunch. We decided it would be fun to go to Marina Del Rey. We selected Cast & Plow because of the brunch menu but didn't realize it was in the Ritz Carlton. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food and service were excellent. A win all around.
Food selection good. Risotto. Excellent. Marina view with fire on table.
Really enjoyable. Great food, great service.
Salmon Benedict was amazing. Service impeccable with a marina side view. Perfect birthday brunch locale.
Wow!!! What a great breakfast spot! Walter was my waiter and he alone was awesome. I had the avocado toast Ana it had on it literally the most delicious poached eggs I have ever had!!!!
Totally gonna hit this spot again when I head to the airport!
Great service, beautiful location and really good food and drink. Will definitely hit this spot again when in Marina Del Rey.
Sat at our table for twenty minutes before a server acknowledged us. This place is way too expensive to have such poor service.
Amazing all around beautiful location
The new Kale Saled is delicious. However, I’m still not clear who my server was. Everything took way too long. The server approaching our table, taking the order, delivering the food and also processing the check. Not sure why everyone seemed confused, maybe it was because the menu was new.
Also requested a table outdoors and was only provided a table indoors.
This restaurant sits overlooking the marina and provides the perfect backdrop for an incredible smart casual dining experience,
full equipped with mood lighting and elegant fire-pit serving tables. The best dish on the menu is the salmon hands down!!!! This was the house recommendation and they nailed it. Several in my party enjoyed it as the Chef set the plate but I had it over the delectable leafy greens and beet salad. Great selection of wines and desserts. The service experience was outstanding and customized. A memorable and enjoyable time with Cast & Plow.
Every thing came out at timely manner. The food was delicious and my family really enjoyed their meal. Our server was very polite and had a very high food menu knowledge. He definitely took part on the Ritz-Carlton culture. My family is definitely coming back and will recommend this restaurant.
The vantage point of this restaurant overlooking the marina is a highlight. Sunset was remarkable as I am sure it is every other night but it was great on this night. The food choices lean towards casual in an elegant setting of such a nice hotel. Benny, our server, took very good care of us, giving us the time and space that we had requested to make the evening special. Truly an enjoyable time for us that evening.
It was a first date. We both ordered the Harvest Salad. But, the waiter just brought one salad, for me, and nothing for my obvious date. We had to wait a long time for him rustle up another salad.
The food is a disappointment. I was told the quinoa bowl was a nice choice but it was a bowl of bird food. My husband’s steak was average. The free dessert to celebrate our anniversary was a nice touch. High marks for service and ambience but the food is not good especially for the price. If you want to look at the marina just go for coffee or drinks.
Cast and Plow is a favorite of mine and I frequently visit. This night we went for my husband's birthday. The apps came out fairly quickly but the remainder of the service was extremely slow.
The food as always was amazing and delicious.
Food very mediocre. Service just ok, host disorganized
Overall management lacking for a high line hotel.
The wait staff was outstanding, they made me feel like an old friend even though this was my first time. I ate way too much, it was all so good. The sea bass was possibly the best fish I have ever eaten. The house made salted caramel ice cream was heavenly. Highly recommend.
Everything was great. The reason I gave them a four and a five is because service was very slow, at least that night. Definitely worth checking out
Sitting outside, overlooking the marina is very pleasant. The food is nothing special and the service was mediocre. It took 20 minutes for someone to come light our firepit. We ordered the Frites with jalapeño aioli and the aioli had absolutely no flavor. Mind you, the fries were just excellent themselves (with ketchup), but when we suggested to the server that the aioli was not jalapeño she was incredulous. After some coaxing, she returned it to the kitchen and found out it was, indeed incorrect. By this time, we had already finished our frites but 10 minutes later, another server came by and brought us new aioli. How strange, No idea what they wanted us to do with it. Anyway - all-in-all, just an average meal. Nothing to write home about.
The entire meal was so incredibly lovely! The service was wonderful and charming! But the food was one enjoyable surprise after another! The garlic Frites was a wonderful start to our meal followed by a garden salad with a Delicious champagne vinaigrette. We were told the corn soup was exquisite! My orzotto with grilled scallops was maximum, elegant comfort food and my husband's grilled sea bass cooked beautifully. The warm strawberry-rhubarb bread pudding is not to be missed. Such a lovely way to end a meal.
It’s just okay. Service not attentive at all. Had to seek out servers. Food was good but that’s not difficult to find in LA at these prices.
Truth be told, we really only go here because we like the view and get to sit outside. The food is not "bad" per se, but it is, at best, bland. I expect more from a restaurant at the Ritz Carlton. At the very least, I expect them to have a higher quality kid's meal than Kraft Mac n Cheese. On the other hand the pool-side restaurant is actually quite good in comparison.
The service was pretty good and our server was attentive. We'll be back, but again really because of the location more than the food experience.
