Really limited menu! The service was verrrryyyy slowwwww! Food was ok but not worth the wait!!!
Service from our waitress was horrible. She came to the table once and disappeared. We asked the wine server for help and he immediately turn the service from minus 5 to plus 10.
Beautiful spot for breakfast. Delicious smoked salmon and poached eggs.
Our friend told us of the “fab brunch”. Unfortunately what used to be fab is no longer. They only have a small breakfast buffet and a la carte after 1130. Honestly. It’s overpriced and not great. Service was super slow with us having several times to even order. Our order was wrong. Twice. And there was nothing social ordered. It was off menu. Our friend just settled the second time with wheat (and didn’t eat it even though Every item is “extra”) instead of sourdough. If you are stuck here the eggs Benedict out of all of ours was best. 1 Prosecco mimosa will set you back 16 and drinks run about 20. I don’t mind paying more and we were prepared fir an 80 dollar brunch. But we though it was a gourmet buffet feast with mimosa included. This was a disappointment in everything except the view and the music. Service is better at an ihop. And no apology or even recognition of long edits and wrong service Not a ritz Carlton experience of old. I’ve had better at a Hilton garden inn
The waiters and bartenders are the reason we go! Fran, Seth, Benny, Farouk, Michelle - everyone is incredible. We come back again and again!
It was time for our monthly "girls get together", so I chose Cast & Plow solely based on location. Marina Del Rey always has something to offer. I didn't realize it was located in the Ritz-Carlton but that was a plus. The valet was very pleasant and he even suggested that we try to get a table outside for the best view of the bay. Great idea. We were seated and immediately greeted by our knowledgeable server. The Rose-Gold Martini was delicious. We were there at 3:00 which fell between brunch and dinner hour so we had "BITES". Menu selections were still extensive enough for a full meal. The fries had wonderful herb flavor. Overall it was a lovely afternoon and we both said we would return.
With seemingly 3 hostesses working, can someone explain why my party was ignored for ten minutes as we stood, ungreeted at the checkin desk? We had reservations, but no one was interested. Not at all what I expect at the Ritz. You never get a second chance to make a first impression.
I had a reservation and was told to wait about 10 min. This happened 3 times. So after 30 minutes I asked if I should leave and go elsewhere and the hostess said, "Sure." Then I spoke to a manager who said he would try to seat us. There were many tables available and in the half hour I was waiting I saw tables that needed bussing that were just sitting with nobody coming to clean. I then told the manager I was going to have to leave and that was that. No real effort was made to maintain us as customers. Wow. Very disappointing, especially coming from a Ritz Carlton. So I am unable to really comment on the food. It looked and smelled delicious but I never got to try it.
Very beautiful place. Outside seating was quiet and peaceful. Service there was excellent. Food was delicious.
Pretty dank. A little pricey but service was impeccable.
My wive’s and my food were not hot.
On the breakfast menu, it did not indicate CLEARLY that there Is a buffet !
Amazing staff from hostess to bartender to server! Delicious dinner with excellent customer service.
Cast & Plow is a beautiful venue, great food & great service. Reasonable price for valet with validation.
Tbh I love this place. I eat here frequently for lunch. I love the salmon and always order it.
Always a beautiful large piece cooked to perfection. I ask for it on the well side and it’s moist and delicious
Served with Farrakhan’s, green olives and either arugula or parsley. It’s just great-period
Pricy but worth it. Dinner a few times here, kinda eh and overpriced
Fabulous staff and lovely views make this a perfect place to meet with old friends for a long chat.
Excellent all around. Ambience like no other.
Excellent place to have a great dinner with beautiful views and top quality service!
My sister and I had a wonderful brunch here last Sunday. Our server, Lindsay was amazing. Looking forward to going back again soon.
I love Cast & Plow is one of my absolute favorites- great food, friendly service, and beautiful ambiance! The lobster toast was excellent.
Very nice experience on the whole. A few things made it less than perfect - my wife’s cocktail was served unmixed - and one of our appetizers had an issue too, but service was excellent and they made up for error by crediting us for the item. Location and quality of the restaurant was excellent.
This was Christmas Eve, no tablecloths on the table. Limited menu. My entree, a chicken was just awful, very bland. According to my partner, the roast was good.
Service was adequate but had to wait for the waiter to come by.
Expected more from a restaurant in the Ritz Carlton
Made the reservation on Open Table which failed to mention a price fixe menu for the night. I realize it was Christmas dinner but irrespective of this, both Open Table and The Ritz should be responsible for notifying patrons of this. My frustration continued with an incredibly subpar menu, lukewarm food and overcooked carving station. Finally topped off with a "dessert bar" of cookies and brownies.
Way to go Ritz. Way to go Open Table. Very disappointed.
Wonderful service. Grateful they were open on Christmas and treated my daughter very well for her first time in fine dining service. Food was fantastic. A little pricy but it matched the quality.
Wonderful meal for Christmas, the Prix Fixe menu was varied and offered vegan options which is always appreciated.
Service was impeccable
The atmosphere was festive! It was perfect for a Christmas brunch.
Christmas Day Brunch - an all around bad experience. This is not the 1st time I have been underwhelmed while dining at Cast & Plow.
Cast and Plow was fantastic for our family Christmas Eve dinner (4 adults, 3 young children). Our server and all the staff were kind and accommodating. Each dish was delicious and the service was exceptional. We will go back!
I went to lunch with my family the day before Christmas. The general ambiance and view overlooking the Marina is special. I also really enjoyed the burger and others enjoyed their meals. This is a fantastic spot for lunch.
Just a very nice restaurant with great fresh food and excellent service. Nice wine list although a bit pricey. We spent a wonderful evening there. No need to go elsewhere if you stay at the wonderful Ritz Carlton Marina del Rey
atmosphere was nice; employees were friendly; service was good; food was warm to cold; overly limited selection on the special evening buffet; table did not accommodate a wheelchair well; experience was not worth the price; not likely to return to the restaurant.
Table attendant was horrible! Served soup to us with no soup spoons; asked for water with lemon & she brought the water with no lemon. We waited & waited, then had to summon her to get the lemon.
The grilled vegetable entree was no good, could not eat it. It should NOT be on the menu.
We decided to try Thanksgiving out this year and it was perfect!
Great view of the marina on a sunny day. Food and service were solid, not extraordinary.
We were staying in Santa Monica and heading to LAX and wanted brunch. We decided it would be fun to go to Marina Del Rey. We selected Cast & Plow because of the brunch menu but didn't realize it was in the Ritz Carlton. The hotel staff were very friendly and the food and service were excellent. A win all around.
Food selection good. Risotto. Excellent. Marina view with fire on table.
Really enjoyable. Great food, great service.
Salmon Benedict was amazing. Service impeccable with a marina side view. Perfect birthday brunch locale.
Wow!!! What a great breakfast spot! Walter was my waiter and he alone was awesome. I had the avocado toast Ana it had on it literally the most delicious poached eggs I have ever had!!!!
Totally gonna hit this spot again when I head to the airport!
