Went here for a birthday and it was great! The service was excellent and the food was too. Loved dining on the patio with a view of the Marina.
Mother’s Day was a total disaster. We scheduled an early breakfast hoping to beat the brunch rush so we could enjoy the rest of our day (1st Mothers Day), seating took forever even with a reservation and we had to wait even longer for a high chair, which we seen someone else get theirs before us who was behind us. We also asked for a banana right away so we could feed our 6 month old before anything, took over an hour and almost 2 hours for the rest of our food. Throughout the entire time we were waiting all we heard were complaints and people leaving before getting their food because of the wait time, esp people with small children. Generously, we overheard people still paying & tipping attempting to salvage their experience. Luckily we have a very well behaved baby who managed to wait it out with us. But unfortunately we missed out on some of our plans trying to have a failed early breakfast which turned into an afternoon brunch, without the brunch. Suuuuuuper disappointed.
Food was good though! Just not worth waiting 2 hours for.
The view was great. The table was great. The service was great. The food was… fine. Not bad, but not incredible, either. The fried cauliflower had too much sauce and was kind of gooey. My duck was not particularly flavorful and a little bit chewy. But I have been there before and will probably go back.
This restaurant was GREAT! At a first glance, the menu items looked a little pricey, but we ordered anyway (x2 beef tenderloins, Korean style duck, chipotle hummus, and tuna poke) It ended up being $140 dollars including tax, drinks, and tips, BUT the food was ON THE TOP OF THE WORLD! Although we chose outdoor seating, and the ocean view was spectacular, the interior seating/design was awesome. Sitting inside would be equally as great as outdoor. The restaurant was right by the Ritz-Carlton entrance, so it’s hard to miss. 100/100 stars ⭐️ 👏🏻
This is my 4th visit and this place hasn’t disappointed me. Great food, strong drinks and excellent service. Love the outdoor seating with the fire pits on the table as well as the view of yachts. Makes you forget about our busy city lives for just a little bit.
Great spot for outdoor dining in MDR! Enjoy watching the boats sail by while enjoying a great glass of wine!
We had a great time! The ambiance, the food and our server were all excellent. A great date night!
Because of the restaurant slowly opening back up, we weren’t able to sit at the bar. We were able to get a table outside on their patio overlooking the Marina. It was very nice and the food was good. Not many people, but it was a Wednesday night. I recommend Cast and Plow for a nice dinner with a lovely atmosphere.
Sean the manager was so helpful to us.
The food and mimosas were amazing!
Atmosphere inside is not as intimate/ visually appealing as it used to be. Chalk it up to the current Covid situation I suppose. but the food and service we great. Just not as pleasing atmosphere/ elegance as you generally get with Ritz properties.
Outdoor seating, ambiance and atmosphere were great!
Some waiters are awesome some were pretty snob with attitudes. Food was not bad. View is great as always since it’s by the Marina. It’s a nice ambiance but expensive
Great atmosphere and great food.
The restaurant was clean but nothing special. The service was good but average for the price. The food was ok but cold and pricey ( $85.00) lobster in very small portions. Not recommend
Been there many times. Food was always good. Service was always average or worse. A little snooty. Our waiter this time was amazing! Really had a great experience.
Scallops are terrific, and service (especially from Samantha) outstanding. I recommend for travelers & locals.
we had a good dinner but they mixed up our order even if them they try to fix it but nothing special
Really wanted to be outside on the water. But got seated inside. Food was just ok for the high price.
Still not Ritz Carlton quality. Menu pricy for the quality. Ambiance gréât and staff attentive. Need to start serving indoors as Los Angeles now allows that within limits
Cast & Plow is the perfect place to entertain visitors with its beautiful view of the marina and its exceptional food and service. The name belies the fact that the restaurant is such a vibrant part of Marina Del Rey!
We had a great experience dining on the patio as three of us met up from the airport. It was the perfect break. Food was excellent, service was great (just couldn't get my water refilled), but all our other requests were handled expediently.
Would definitely recommend.
It was pretty basic. Average food. I had salmon & my bf had the duck. Mine was dry & nothing special. The view was nice & it was quiet. Probably wouldn’t go back.
Ambiance was AMAZING
Service was EXCELLENT
Food and Drinks were DELICIOUS
Lovely setting on the water. Food was very good but table design leaves a lot to be desired. Heater was left on during a sunny day. Valet was comped. Wine list not up to usual Ritz standards but corkage was not bad.
Wonderful place! Staff was amazing- food was delicious. And ambiance was perfect.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in LA. Love the quietness and view from the deck. The staff is always friendly and the food is wonderful.
Lovely setting, creative dishes, and nice variety. Very quiet, well appointed,, and terrific service...
One of my favorite breakfasts in LA!
Booked this restaurant for a celebratory brunch, specifically bc it on the water. Upon arrival found out the restaurant is under renovation! They tried to seat up on some weird 2 top on the back patio by the tennis court., didn’t even ask if our third was coming. After complaining, our lackluster hostess moved us to a spot off the event hall, with a tiny peek of the ocean. The food here is good, but not amazing, basically you are paying for the view and ambiance. Without that... nah. I wish they had informed us prior, I would have Booked my birthday elsewhere!
We spent almost $150 on lunch for frozen French fries, under seasoned salad, lobster sliders with hardly any lobster, and a very plain chicken sandwich. To charge Ritz Carlton prices the food needs to be on point. Service I give 2 stars because they seemed to be under staffed and it took a while to get our orders in. However, the servers we interacted with were very friendly and professional. I would give the individual servers 4 to 5 stars.
Booked this place bec expecting a waterfront view with fire pit table. Arrived there and we were seated in an outdoor hallway near the hotel’s pool. No view. Not mentioned in the website that the waterfront area is under renovation. I even requested in my reservation to book us in a table with fire pit. Food is great yet pricey. Ordered scallops for $40 plus dollar that has 4pcs of scallops. It’s tasty though and service in the restaurant was excellent. I just wish someone would have called me that the waterfront area is closed. It is a deal breaker for me. We went to the warehouse after eating our meal. More casual, outdoor eating/ waterfront area open and great food as well.
Kim was such a great server!! We sat near the waterfall. Much preferred over the pool view with the pop music playing.
We came for the scenery; not the food. Thought it would be nice to sit outside by the water and boats but it was closed undergoing renovation. The crab with cauliflower could have been better. Minimal preparation. Wine choices very limited and not that great. Laughed at the Sea Smoke Pinot Noir offered at $550!!
Expected to get marina seating with the cute fire pit tables. Instead was seated in a area near the pool of the hotel. Wish they would have put a disclosure on the website that the area that many book this spot for is under renovation and unavailable. My beef tenderloin meal was ok but underwhelming for what was received for the price. The wild salmon was slimy and undercooked and accompanied by vegetables that appear to be from a can. The staff was A+ but the rest was underwhelming. Will not be returning not even for the actual view I wanted.
Food was amazing! We went for an early valentines dinner and it wasn’t packed at all. We were not aware that the harbor view seating with the fire pits was “under construction” and that was what drew us to the restaurant. So if you plan on making a reservation to sit there i suggest you search else where. We were not the only couple bothered by the seating options and they really should post a notice stating that they are not available.
Slow service but good food overall except for the salad which tasted like ice...
Typical Ritz dining experience. Quality ingredients, average atmosphere and high price point. View of the water would improve the review.
Socially distance tables outside with beautiful fire pits. The wait staff is terrific. The food was excellent and it felt really special to be in a real restaurant.
Service: Samantha is OUTSTANDING
