I was yesterday for Valentine’s day with my husband, we had a great time there. This place is perfect for any occasion. The food was great and the service was excellent. I totally recommend this restaurant.
It was great to have brunch despite the current situation (coronavirus pandemic) going on in the world during this time!
Love the people and the food! Great location! Great prices - all reasonable and definitely going back soon!!!
Food was marginal at best. Will not be back.
Great Mac & cheese and breakfast burgers. Bartender was friendly and welcoming! Would go back.
We came here for a date. He’s a big beer guy and the selection did not disappoint. I’m a cocktail gal, unfortunately my first choice wasn’t available but my second choice (a grapefruit forward cocktail) was available and delicious.
We chose to share small plates and tried the pesto Mac and cheese. Mac and cheese is my favorite food so I was a tough critic with this one, and it was also delicious. The Korean bbq flatbread was also really nice but seemed to be missing the Brussels sprouts on it that the menu had promised. The cauliflower was delicious and so were the beef empanadas. The food was eclectic and very satisfying. I recommend.
Everything was wonderful. the only thing that was a little annoying was the noise level. However that is probably to be expected since much of the crowd was there for a concert being held at the adjoining Palace theater. It wasn't enough, though to keep me from going back. We made a great choice.
Lots of choices especially the small plates. Interesting menu with a lot of beers but also good wine choices.
A nice place for brunch and/or just some drinks. I loved the fireplace, the bar area and the menu items especially the cider with the kicker and the lamb pastrami!
Great service, fresh and tasty food. Overall great place.
We had a wonderful time. The entire restaurant was warm and inviting.
It was fine.
Unfortunately this place gets REAAAALLLLLLY loud!!!!
It has a great location and ambiance, the music was nice too. However, we experienced some hiccups along the way. When my friends order first arrived (a salad with salmon on top) we were confused since there was no salmon. We searched around for our waitress to tell her the problem but couldn’t find her. I believe their mistake and quickly brought out the correct one. Not a huge issue, so we continued with our meal. I ordered the lamb sandwich which had incredible taste, but was so soaked in grease and oil I couldn’t eat the bread. I understand it’sa heavier dish but it was actually dripping into the plate. Overall I think it has potential but there needs to be some improvement.
Great. We had 4 adults and two kids (4 & 7). Very family friendly, great food and service plus an entertaining folk guitar added to the Sunday early evening experience.
Food was delicious and service was great! Ambiance was friendly and intimate.
Great food, ambiance & service. We always come here when we have a show at the Palace Theater. Nice fireplace in the winter, cozy & comfortable. We'll be back!
Amazing food and drinks, wasn’t crazy loud on New Year’s Eve and it was a great setting. One of my favorites!!
Very comfortable. Great food and nice ambiance.
Great food. Wonderful ambiance. Will be returning soon!
Cask Republic is a great place to grab a bite before or after a movie - good wide selection of foods. its a bit dark and a bit noisy when full. We really enjoy the flatbreads, the shrimp, etc. great selection
We sat in the back room where it was much quieter and we were able to talk without issue. The food is delicious. We shared several small plates. The cauliflower and Barata were both outstanding. Most at the table had burgers, Reuben or salads. They were all very good but the kale salad was excellent. The service was ok, not great. We needed a little more attention to water glasses and refills on cocktails. All in all it was a lovely evening and I would recommend the restaurant
The food at this pub is a hidden gem in Stamford. This was our ~ 5th time there and every time we are blown away by the quality of the food. We invariably get 4 or 5 small plates to try lots of things and everything is amazing. Their short rib meatball small plate is crazy good. Thanks Cask Republic!
Food was delish and there was live music. The host offered a seat closer to music or further depending on our preference! All in all wonderful dinner before catching a show at the palace theatre!
Solid food options, but the beer selection is great. Tons of options, and a great place for a date.
I ordered the cask burger, it tasted horrible. The waiter did take the burger off our tab since it was bad, I appreciated that. Also, their Stamford Restaurant Week choices weren’t great.
Server was very attentive! Food was very good.
Have been many times but this time ordered a salad with salmon and overnight I got extremely sick - guess you shouldn’t order fish on a Sunday night !
I think we had an off day, because we normally LOVE this place!!! Food was not their best sadly, but we would still go back for another try as we have never been disappointed in all of our prior visits.
The service was exceptional, the environment was warm and inviting, and the food was outstanding. Everything exceeded our expectations and there wasn't much wait time even for a Thursday evening.
Great menu, food well prepared, and cocktails were outstanding.
We have been to Cask Republic many times before and enjoyed it every time. We went to the mother's day brunch. It was very disappointing. The food choices were very limited. There was fruit salad, green salad, stale croissants and a few other pastries, cold french toast, potatoes, cold salmon eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage. There was also overcooked prime rib. Well done. There was no prime rib for about 30 minutes. When I asked for some more, and asked for it to be more rare, I was told it wasn't ready and I needed to wait 15 minutes. Pretty poor planning. After waiting 20 minutes or more, I did get some which was a little less well done, but still more well done than even medium. Oh, and dessert was chocolate chip cookies - that's it.
Like I said, we've been there many times in the evening and always enjoyed it. Based on previous experience I thought they'd have an interesting brunch, and they had highlighted that they'd have prime rib. Don't go for brunch.
Great food! Service very nice and loved the feel of the restaurant! Great place!
Easter brunch tasted great and our waitstaff was attentive and nice but the kitchen goofed and it was frustrating because the restaurant was empty when we ordered. The sandwich I ordered was a salmon BLT. Menu said it came with aioli on it so I asked for it on the side. Sandwich came with it on the side but apparently, after going back and forth a bit with multiple waitstaff, it was determined that the kitchen puts mayo on the bread and it’s also toasted with some butter. None of this was on the menu as part of the description. I ended up eating when my husband was 1/2 way through. Frustrating. I cannot digest certain things easily so I think it should say that the sandwich comes with mayo and aioli. The food was really good so my issue really is with what the menu indicates.
great service at a busy time, food was tasty and well prepared, great drinks and waiter's help with beer selection was a perfect hit. It is noisy in the bar but we sat in the back room and the noise level was perfect.
Just a fun night out. Great food!
Good and polite service. Interesting brunch menu. Hopefully will be back in town to sample more.
Excellent service and food! Went for an early dinner so could not really judge the noise level - but we were most comfortable and enjoyed our meal!
Disappointing. It was St Patty's Day so I ordered a special- Sheppard's Pie. I love Sheppard's Pie! Sadly this had no taste or flavor. They were very nice and took it away and offered me a substitution. I made the mistake of ordering the chili- too similar. I am sorry to say I make a much better chili so it was disappointing. In my party, several people had the burger, which they very much enjoyed, fries also good. Our other friend also ordered a special- pizza with mashed potatoes cabbage and corned beef. Sadly there was hardly any corned beef on the pizza special.
We got seated right away, service was excellent and the food was good. Great atmosphere . Would return again
