Cascades, un restaurante clásico estadounidense y churrasquería, está ubicado en el histórico hotel Stanley de 103 años de antigüedad. Sirve desayunos, almuerzos y cenas en el salón comedor. En el lounge también es posible degustar un coctel artesanal del menú de cocteles históricos. El menú incluye cortes de res con certificado Angus, mariscos frescos, sándwiches, pasta y platillos típicos de Colorado. El chef ha adaptado el menú para complementar la cocina local y ha introducido algunos platillos favoritos estadounidenses, con influencia de "la granja al platillo". El restaurante también ofrece helados caseros, postres y crème brulée. El bar y el lounge disponen de servicio completo de cenas, junto con una selección de bebidas sofisticadas y una carta con más de 500 whiskies. From the front gate, make the first right, then wind up around the Lodge to the parking area behind the Main Hotel and through the gates and go down the stairs or pathway through the gardens and past the waterfall and pond and across the patio to the double doors, then turn to your right in the lobby to meet the hostess outside the restaurant.

We had the 30oz Wagyu steak with salad and it was just fabulous if hysterically expensive

A few years ago we had an amazing meal at Cascades. They had a celebrity chef - Robin, I think. Since then we have had two mediocre experiences there. One year ago I got the $110 Waygu steak that the server assured me was equivalent to Japanese A5. It was trash. Waste of money. This year we returned to Estes and decided to give Cascades a second chance. My fiancé and I both got steaks. The fillet was tough - not prime from what I can tell. I got the ribeye. It was ok.. not worth $65. FAR better (and cheaper) restaurants in Estes Park. Try Bird and Jim.

Honestly we got to sit in a side area which was so nice. The waiter was kind and very helpful when picking out cocktails to try. Food was absolutely delicious, fast and hot. It was cold outside and it warned us up quickly. Would highly recommend though the prices can be high, it’s worth jt for at least the experience.

Our waitress on the veranda named Georgia was outstanding. She made excellent suggestions and brought us just the right drinks. And she was very accommodating when I asked her to take pictures just a particular way. Our Cascades waitress Ioana was also excellent. We enjoyed a wonderful meal with just the right attention by Ioana.

We had a wonderful dinner while visiting the hotel. Our server, Mihail, gave quick and friendly service! When we got our entrees, I accidentally dropped half of the duck breast on the floor and was so embarrassed. A server assistant noticed and the kitchen agreed to make us a whole new duck breast which was awesome. Definitely did not expect them to do that but it was so so kind!!! Top notch! Great wine offerings.

We had reservations but was seated in the bar. Do NOT sit in bar..we spent a lot of the night looking at people’s azz…too many people at tabletops, people standing around the people, loud, party mode..we wanted a quiet nice dinner. For the price, you deserve it! They knew we were coming. They did offer outside, but we were not dressed to sit outside. Server ok but rushed us thru meal, never ask about dessert. Food good.

My seafood dish was outstanding. I did think my husbands steak was a little tough. Dessert was outstanding.

The Stanley hotel is an amazing venue, as is the Cascades restaurant. However, part of a fine dining experience is the expectation of availability of items listed on the menu. Our party of six arrived on an early Friday evening with what was bound to be a busy Father's Day weekend. Three of our party wanted salmon, and after submitting our order were informed that they had "run out." At 6:00 - on a heavy weekend?! Someone didn't plan ahead. Our waitress did her best to recommend alternatives, but was clearly embarrassed. She did a great job, but it appears they may have also been short staffed as she was working no fewer than six tables. Outside of this, the experience was, overall, a good one with dishes well-prepared and presented.
